‘Can’t manage money’: Victorian Labor has sent the state ‘broke’

  • Shadow Finance Minister Jane Hume says Victorian Labor clearly “can’t manage money”.
“It has sent Victoria broke, and it has now having to unwind even its own commitments,” Ms Hume told Sky News Australia.
“Somehow, we are now no longer funding hospitals in Victoria but instead funding the boondoggle of the Suburban Rail Loop.
“That’s being assisted by the decisions being made by the federal Labor government too.”
This comes as Victoria will remain Australia’s most indebted state despite major cuts to health, education and big projects in this year’s budget.

It's the Greens with them also. Are a problem. As for housing crisis the greens have a solution not knowing if would actually work though and labour has no solution other than make it worse. But overall the Greens have really bad policies on climate change and defence policies. And frankly they would scare investors away. And they have even worse migration policies than Labour. Vertically they would adopt open boarders. The crime rate would from bad to out of control

And people shoukd be allowed to use their entire superannuation for a deposit for a home. It's going towards an asset. I have 420k in my super. If I was allowed to use all towards a home I'd own it in 10 years or less. And I'll own a home for retirement and still be able to contribute towards some super for my retirement. No guarantee we can buy a home under million dollars in 2050. Let alone 2030. I still have 25 years before I can retire meaning if I can use all my super now. I'd still have 25 years of super contribute towards a new super fund

This time around we don't have the assets to sell and get us out of the mess like the Kennett govt did. The only way out is increased taxes, reduced govt services or both. And what did the voting public do, after Kennett got us back in the black, a state surplus, major projects going and stimulation in the economy - they voted him out, just for the same cycle to continue. labor has the financial maturity of a 7 yr old, spend without any thought of tomorrow or consequences and they never learn from their mistakes.

The answer is simple....print as much money as possible...print the stuff day and night....then wait for the inevitable.
By that time a new government will be in and the whole thing start all over again...

thinking out of the box Victoria has the best strip clubs and brothels I would advertise in other states spend a week in Victoria and get $100.00 credit for strip clubs and brothels. This will bring many people to the City to spend

With the Cost of Living crisis caused by Labor, Families have had to tighten their belts, reduce household spending and stick to an extreme budget. Then along comes Tim "Big Pig" Pallas. In his 10th VIC Budget he has managed to balloon Taxpayer's debt from just under $40 Billion to $188 BILLION in 2027/2028!! If individual Families ran household budgets like that, they would all be homeless on the streets. Pallas can do this because it's Victorian Taxpayer money, not his money and he doesn't care. Labor has to go.

At a federal level it takes longer to show the results that is all.

With sharp rent rises already and a rental shortage, what kind of idiots then tax property owners an extra $1000? Driving owners to sell up and take that investment money out of the State, or simply put the rent up? Are you a renter who voted Labor? Why did you vote yourself out of your own accomodation?
