The country is in a really bad state. The Tories are slowly taking this country into a pointless war. The Russian Ukraine war is a civil war. Look at the history books .NATO has no right to intervene. If this escalates it will end the same way as the Second World War. So it’s pointless having national service for canon fodder. They also pick on the most vulnerable people in the country. The sick and the unemployed . Saying about getting jobs . The world has changed with computerisation and robotic technology. Human resources are not greatly in demand anymore. Self-service checkouts in banks snd shops. The high streets are dying and shops closing everywhere due to online shopping, So at some point there will be mass unemployment. The hospitals and schools are at breaking point due to the immigration crisis. The infrastructure of the country can’t take it. This has nothing to do with racism, we are an island. So will the last person in the country please turn out the lights.

Certainly politicians like Michael Heseltine and Tony Benn had the courage of their own convictions and didn't deviate. Get BOTH corrupt parties out. If you've mistaken Labour for something better or different, you haven't been paying attention. "We'll follow the conservative spending plans on X". Conservative friends of Israel - and Labour friends of Israel. Tories: Shall we lock them down. Labour: Lock them down harder! It probably won't make any difference anyway. BECAUSE…You have the WRONG political system. Maybe it was a good idea 300 years ago, but not for today nor tomorrow. It generally attracts the wrong sort of people for a start!. I mean, just look at their schoolyard behaviour where “point scoring” put-downs of other elected members of parliament is considered a “win”! Essentially most of them are “bully salesmen” who try to persuade and bribe you, that ONLY THEIR ideas are great (vote for MEEEE). Sadly, ALL parties do the same - Was designed to be like that !! The notion that ALL the PEOPLE HAVE CLEAR NEEDS is not even considered!!. Another childhood dream is that “Competition” yields the best results! This has some truth, but only in the very short term!. COOPERATION YIELDS THE BEST CONTINUOUS SUSTAINABLE IMPROVEMENTS. JUST PROGRESS LIKE YOU’VE NEVER SEEN BEFORE
Establish a national “Register of Visions” summarising the Will of the People. (Health, Housing, Education, Employment, Crime & Safety, Drugs, Immigration, Taxation, Societal Cohesion, Foreign Affairs, Welfare, Trade & Industry, etc etc ). A register Established at census time for each Voter - with real-time Web access for timely updates like Gaza, Ukraine etc etc ad nauseam. And don’t worry, AI will make short work of creating a succinct coherent unambiguous statement of requirements from the millions of Vision submissions! Certainly a BETTER WAY for the Nation. (Unless of course you are already part of the 1% thriving/thieving elite , then yes, you will experience a relative decline in your unwarranted privilege, decadence and legalised theft!).

I agree. I despise Starmer and Blue Labour and find them an insult to what Labour once was and could be (the likes of Nye Bevin would be horrified at what Labour has become). But that typed, for me, the most important thing right now is to get the Tories out and, if possible, wipe them off the Parliamentary map (so to speak). For though (judging on his past record alone) I don't think for a second that Starmer (a dishonest corporate stooge) will deliver on his pledges and/or address the REAL cause at the heart of all our problems (economic disparity), the Tories are still measurably faaaar worse and we simply can't afford to risk not getting them out. One battle at a time, you know?
Also, tactical voting will increase seats for other parties too (including independents),, not just Labour, and if we radically change the make-up of Parliament (and hopefully massively decimate the Tory party for good), then this could be a genuine launchpad for a radical new future where the old so called third and fourth parties, etc, will in future no longer be considered wasted votes by the electorate, which could end the tired old 2 party dynamic. And in the meantime at the very least they can work together to oppose any of Starmer's more blatant corporate policies. i.e. There is the potential on the 4th of July to create a totally new playing field and dynamic in Parliament.
A chance like this is beyond rare , more rare even than a so called once in a lifetime opportunity. So aye, if need be in your constituency, don't risk letting a Tory win and/or cast your vote on purely ideological grounds as though we have Proportional Representation already: hold your nose and grasp the rose.

Voting should be honest not led by any person who means harm to any party. We want change desperately but not this way. People should by now, have worked out who they genuinely want in power. Yes we need proportional representation and many other things to change. The whole system does not work as it should. But the people should not be influenced like this. By this woman using dishonourable tactics. The Tories will lose I am sure but voting should always be honest not rigged by anyone. I do not think having labour who she wants to win will be any better for our country than having conservatives. Independent or reform will hopefully lead the charge and carry the day.

Carol is a refreshing change from most LBC presenters who behave as though they are governed by BBC guidelines - which means giving equivalence to an alternative view to that of the government - even when the latter continues to lie and deceive U.K. voters.
My only regret at the moment is that she has said nothing in support of her colleague, Sangita Myska, who was recently dismissed even though the audience ratings had increased by 34.4% in the years since her two weekend slots started in September 2022. Unfortunately, Global, LBC’s parent company, are known to impose very tight Non Disclosure Agreements on their staff and as yet none have dared step out of line.
To be fair to Carol, she has in no way tried to mitigate the media company’s actions - unlike James O’Brien who made a dismissive reference to those asking about Sangita’s welfare. I have since stopped listening to the programmes of this foul mouthed, fair weather friend of one the best presenters he reportedly resented because her popularity threatened his own.
