Ideally we would be able to receive more than one mode and decide which mode to retransmit the next hop with. Obviously there would be issues with going down in bandwidth, but it would also make sense if we upgraded the bandwidth in dense areas where minimizing airtime is more important than fault tolerance. To do that properly we're back to what I said before about STP from Ethernet networks; keep a routing table with hop scores so we know which paths packages should take. This would greatly both enhance the effective range and minimize airtime, at the cost of memory usage for the routing table and delays from fault detection (we must detect a path as faulted before we retransmit along another path).
I noticed that a new release of Meshtastic has been released. It explicitly mentions the following about traffic management. Maybe that will help with issues? Version 2.4 along with the last 2.3.X update brings some default traffic management practices to increase the resilience of larger meshes and allow more airtime for messaging. That may help with issues. Any thoughts on that?
I am on Medium Fast, but "Billy no mates" as I think it's just me so far! I will put up a node on a pole with an omni in the next few days, should work out better.
Woo! Love the meshtastic content! Wishing you all the best of luck on Medium Fast! Great to see you supporting the mesh!

There's actually someone on long slow here in Aberdeen. I can hear them blowing a raspberry every few minutes on my scanner.
I switched to long slow, and got more contacts in the space of a day than I have had in a week. Seems to be working well around Hampshire way
Interesting!
The pico hardware supports Bluetooth (although not initially).
I'm also Billy no mates in South London on MF.
Link for the RF power meter ?
Still no contacts in the shires - im changing back
Oh god he’s in a vest, calm down ladies.
Don't you mean calm down boys 🤤
It must be our official three days of summer. Enjoy! 😂
Andy, have you don the CIAJeep Doors hack on your DJI drones yet?
Gonna order a pico and wave share board. Be nice to make a case for a British node!
Yeah you should, you can attach an OLED as well
Why not 433.05 for MF. 868 still going to have LF filling up that channel
Because hardly anybody has 433 gear, and buying new nodes is more expensive than trying a modem setting for a while?
Planning on visiting England next year. Looking for a good hotel in London. Anyone have any suggestions? Or where to avoid?
Avoid London , well Avoid England. Come to Wales
@@MONTY-YTNOM I live in London and I agree
Looked more like an XT60, Great video and Big Thumbs up !

Please can you share a link to the pico lora sx126x board and the right Pico WH ? Thanks.
I have two lengths of ally scaffolding, one slides inside the other (using compressed air to expand and contract) You can have it/them if you want.
Bonjour que ce passe t'il avec le protocole meshtastic original ?
i prefer long moderate
I got a 10m telescoping pole for this very thing. 😂
i'm not buying these new settings, I have my own, and it works very well
👁 👄 👁
a vest lol prefer his drone videos and way more fun than meshtastic lol
What's wrong with a vest?!😂
