Looks at the thumbnail: “damn that guitar looks sweet!” Fluff a couple minutes later: “this is the dadest guitar schecter makes” Me: * nervously googling * “can you be a dad without ever having sex?”
I’ve owned this guitar since late June and I can personally say that I really dig it. One negative of it though if I’m being honest is that the volume knob is a little too close to the bridge pickup/strings, which at times my hand will inadvertantly turn the knob and decrease the volume (at least for my playing). Overall, the look and feel is great. You get locking tuners and a trem. For around $800, it’s a decent guitar to have.
Purchased this guitar last week. Picked up a new blemished model with 4 tack head sized punctures in the body/finish for just over $500 with free shipping. Guitar sounds great with drop tunings especially Drop D. Neck feels like a strat, pickups good not great, nice weight, locking tuners good. Overall nice but I prefer to use this guitar in drop tunings. As my custom Epiphone Les Paul-Worn (purple) sounds better in standard then the exotic spalted maple.
I have been a fan for years. I have this Schecter with the Ebony Top ,Vine of life , A real asset for my tone . Schecter is nailing it .Love the guitar, Very much a midrange guitar .
Spaulty is pretty ( normally see more figuring? I think they gave you a plain one). No 2 pieces are ever the same so no worries about showing up wearing the same axe as your delinquent Dad buddies to the open jam 🤘🏽
I’m interested in the ebony version of this guitar. And although I know the Wilkinson is a good trem. The headstock to me shows some signs of potential tuning instability. Anyone have experience with this Schecter model?
@@mattmartinez7135 The trem can only go down. It's hard to say because I have only used it in the beginning, if you don't hyper abuse it I think it's fine. It also depends "how down" you go with it... Also I've seen some people replacing the Graphtech nut and say that it helped their tuning issues
Ooh fancy! Not crazy about the inlays or the look of the pickups though. I’ve got an ‘06 C1 Exotic which is a solid guitar as well. Super comfortable guitars!
Am a dad, just ordered this guitar. It's true, it fits right in there. It's well above an entry level guitar, but my needs don't necessitate purchasing a $1500+ guitar.
I play mostly heavy metal , hard rock and some 80s and 90s rock , and I'm thinking to buy a reaper, this c-1 exotic or PT pro , what do you think?? I mean, looking for.some versatility.
For the price, it is an awesome guitar, except they should have not put a thin veneer on the top and just used the beauty of the body wood front and back.
Soooo close Schecter. They make good quality guitars, i own a KM6 Mark 2, solid Guitar, Most Schecter guitars always feature 1 or 2 design characteristics i just can't get behind. For this one its the pickup rings and plastic boarders, the inlays are brutal too. Otherwise, very cool guitar.
Bro. I know this is the wrong video but keep the FAQ videos going. I think you were influenced by Merrows decision on his channel when your videos are far more informative and entertaining. Keep them less but never make it disappear
80s dads like dots and squares on their fretboard, maybe shark teeth for the wild daddys but lightning bolts seriously ?Sorry Schecter you missed that part

Candlebox, for the win!! 😄
"It's a very dad guitar."
* plays Candlebox *
yeah that checks out.
I have it I’m 14

That's where Jesus came from, supposedly
@@Sticky_Tea hahahaha
Says the man that plays the $179 Squier!
Dads, not having sex? someone tell this guy.../le sigh
Schecter C-1 Exotic Ebony owner.
It is a good axe. As Fluff said, pretty heavy. The build quality for the money is killer. Mine was 675 with OHSC
Same bro! The inlays are pure beauty
How is the trem on this? I plan on buying one and il occasionally use the trem to do the odd bomb on but nothing Floyd rose style.
Over head single cam?
I bought the C1 SLS Elite to gig with because they are built so tough. Love the reinforced necks. Great guitars that take a beating.
The finish on this Schecter is awesome ! Sort of have the oldschool looks but also very different !
it's actually refreshing to see from Schecter some original ideas

You can check my videos out and see it in action!
The pickup rings may look ugly, but they'll prevent dirt from getting on the coil tape.
I think pickup rings make a guitar look much better. Direct mount always look unfinished and rough.
@@bw1955 I wasn't talking about those but the chrome ones around the pickups themselves. Otherwise I agree, direct mount looks weird.
I love them on the Ebony Version
That candle box riff was so perfect for that Guitar!

How's the trem? Is it good enough to just do a basic dive on from time to time?
Dont think we missed the “junkhead” solo😂
Good job man!
Yes, I see you like Candlebox, me too man. Great song! Thank you for posting this.
That's the most 90s clean tone ever. I love it.
This video is dedicated to Candlebox.
Cool!
Candle Box!!!! Thank you. Idk why. I hear it everyday and it’s annoying but to hear you play it makes it better some how.
Woah, that’s tone is so clean it’s like oxy clean
02:23 what's that riff ? I can't remember from where do I know it and it keeps bugging me.
Junkhead aic

is the trem good? how does it stay in tune?
Thank you for the review!
Guitar’s great and all, but thumbs up for the Candlebox throwback. Had my own little high school flashback
I too am a Dad, an old one. Love Schecter, cant beat em for the money
ESP-ish - yeah I can see that take on them. What they really remind me of are the Ibanez SZ series guitars
LOVE spalted maple! That top seems kinda tame for spalted, but still ... It's spalted f@#$&n' maple!
Love this channel so much ❤️❤️❤️ thanks so much for all the content

Why is it daddish? It looks like a PRS with a wood top
Ooooh 4K? Nice!!
I wish this guitar was available here. This is soooo good man! ❤️
Fluff: talking neck wood specs
me: yeah, talk dirty to me daddy! ♥
Beautiful guitar
I’m all about a spalted maple top. I have one on an ltd and I need spalt maple for every style
Dad vibe guitars just got better because of this video. And now I want one…ha ha
What’s that first guitar called in the intro?
Anyone know what kind of monitors has?
I'm a triple dad and I really want that guitar, so that checks out
I’m interested in the ebony version of this guitar. And although I know the Wilkinson is a good trem. The headstock to me shows some signs of potential tuning instability. Anyone have experience with this Schecter model?
Got that one.
I don't really use the trem bar and it doesn't get out of tune that easily
I Will Spam. Does it go out of tune when you use the trem at all? Im planning to use the trem quite a bit. I wonder how it’ll hold up.
@@mattmartinez7135 The trem can only go down.

Can you do standard dive bombs on this trem?
Do you think it's a good guitar with 10-52 chords in drop C?

WOOOOO a Schecter!!!
If I could get one of these easily I would but I'm gonna go for a Charvel pro mod DK22 instead soon, can't wait
Hell yeah Candlebox and Alice In Chains riffs in the same video!
3:26 new 2021 trend that enhances sound to a new level CARBON FIBER COVERED NECKS
I swear your just saying that about the rings on the pick ups lol
Junkhead??
I actually really enjoyed mine till I just realized yesterday the fretboard is cracked. fuck my life
Wait....was that a CLEAN tone? From Fluff?!? 2020 is a strange year indeed.....
Hay I'm a couch Riffer too 🎸🎶
@ 3:23 You just gave Schecter Guitar Research an idea.
Shout out to all dads 🤘🤘
Aesthetics aside, the chrome rings will last forever whereas plastic ones may not

Well, I'm a step dad and I like it, so there's that.
I dig this guitar. Guess I’m a dad now
Carbon fiber on neck is silly.
Somewhere Parker guitar users turn around in shock...
Schecters are so underrated it's ridiculous...real players guitar

I think myself and Clapton are the only people in the world who hate extra-jumbo frets...why, guitar makers, why??
scheter make some nice guitars, i just can't get into that headstock
Man open thAt coil up and unmute that Plexi busy boy

What if I told you , we already seen this lol jk
First
It's 7.7 pounds.
is it just me or he makes that guitar looks like a child's toy
Schecter c1 exotic split mape top beautiful guitar do not like the pickups thay not hot like san Andreas pickups are hotter
Can't stand the stupid inlays they decide to put on some of their guitars. I'll never buy one simply because of that
I have been a fan for years. I have this Schecter with the Ebony Top ,Vine of life , A real asset for my tone . Schecter is nailing it .Love the guitar, Very much a midrange guitar .
I have the same guitar, love it. I think the pickups sound fantastic split, which was a pleasant surprise.
