Just got one and I love it. It’s my 4th Wylde Audio. They’re all solid guitars. From the Odins, Warhammers, Viking V’s, to the Thorax. You won’t be disappointed.
I am in love with the Heathen Grail! It looks insane and I love that it basically is an extreme version of a doublecut LP. I really want one, but for $1,400 I could get so many other cool guitars. I really want to try it out to see if it is right for me
Wylde Audio guitars are the only pointy extreme metal guitars I love, they have a cleart identity that remains classy, and I absolutely love the headstock shape and pattern
I'll be honest. I actually really like a lot of the Wylde Audio shapes. My issue is that I really don't like most of thee finishes. I just really don't care for swirls and bullseyes etc. They have a couple with cooler finishes, but so many are like this and it's just not my thing. Maybe one day I'll put in the money to get one and have it refinished.
They all are basically 70's Les Paul custom specs with a few changes and wacky shapes and finishes. Pair that with Schekter's level of quality and you'll be hard pressed to find something objectively negative about it
Got your point, the moment I saw that thick piece of wood I inmediately say to myself, that thing looks very powerful, it must have a thick push on its sound
loving the Viking RUNE inlays better than the heavy blocks.. as much as i love Gibson Custom block inlays.. the FULL block inlays detracted from the neck i think.. these RUNES look fantastic as the body get busy in appearance..
My Brain says no...But my Heart says, give it a Chance...I wouldn´t say no..Even if the Shape is not at my taste..But it´s Cool, yes.. Me myself Owning and a proud owner of a Larrivee RS3 made in the year 87 and i can only say that i love it even if i think ít´s look a little bit wierd with its "overhanging" upper wing and head that many people referred to look like a hockey stick... but it works like a AtomicClock.❤ FromSweden..🤘🙏☮
I love it, I search out non traditional shaped guitars. I do have the LP and Super Strat styles but really prefer BC Rich, Minarik, Monson, Dean and the old school Vs and Explorers.
Love that you ripped some perry mason with the riffage. Honestly i love the guitar but it limits where i can take it as if i get an audition for a country gig i probably am gonna get some weird looks pulling this one out.

Saw Wylde with Pantera a couple months ago, still a beast. However, when we see similar shit on Reverb we laugh at it but when Wylde sells it people fawn over it. Don't get me started on the nonlocking tuners and having a tune-o-matic.
Which barbarian finish did you get yours in. I’m wanting the Nordic ice I’m 6’4 so I have big hands so I’m not worried about the neck size since most players that I have read that play wylde guitars complained about the baseball bat neck lol. Just wondering how much you like yours
I hope they get to make some Dimebag guitras in the future! It seems like Dean is going out of busniess AGAIN and it would be sad to never see Dimebag guitars again.
I don't mind the shapes it's just the patterns I have a problem with as Zakk uses all those patterns (bullseyes and so on). I wish they made more guitars without all of those patterns he uses. They need more solid color ones than just 2 or 3 they currently have.
They always sound beefy and chunky for sure.. I prefer the inlays over the oversized blocks in the past.. was just a little TOO MUCH BLOCK going on.. its growing on me and shape .. kinda like a smashed firebird that grew a top horn.. i dont know.. certainly has an attitude..

Now what I truly go for most of all is tonal diversity and I don’t think Wylde Audio offers much in that range. The models I have played all seem to be built really well and have their own character to them. I’m just not connecting with them, personally.
Every time I see this shape, all I think is "Reverse Avenger". I LOVE Avengers, but it being backwards just feels weird.. I don't hate it! But I think I need to get used to looking at a backwards Avenger 😂
it's just a flipped schecter avenger with sharper points. definitely sounds Like a schecter with EMGs, don't think they're near worth the price. But you get what you pay for with a name attached
I have been looking at acquiring a WA guitar for a while but it's ridiculously hard to choose between them. They're all pretty bad ass looking, bro's got style points I must admit.
If they made a straight up gloss black version of this, I'd be SUPER into it.

I love the concept of Wylde Audio. HUGE necks and EMGs. I even love the inlays. But aesthetically they're just not my thing.
This is definitely one of the better designs they have. It looks awesome!
Polarizing designs are the most interesting and can become more important for keeping a craft alive than any “designed by committee” product.

Im not a fan of locking tuners
most of the signature guitars are just battling for the design flaw award, this one is a hot contender for sure 🤣🙈
