@@dmf1301 He's guilty of conspiracy to commit murder. (Stone also mentioned it as a possibility) Doesn't matter how minor his part was. He knew she was manipulating the kid, he pretended to be a hit man who backed out, and she used it get the kid to kill her husband. Then after the deed was done she paid him more money. That's why he made sure he wouldn't get charged with conspiracy before he talked.

What kind of mom tells an 8 year old that then no longer her child what kind of kid wouldn't throw a tantrum or be really hurt like that.
Ya that's not "violent reaction to rejection". That's a child having a normal reaction to a totally alien and heart breaking moment moment

Exactly. Teenagers would explode too, explode even worse.
Remember too this is when behavior wasn’t understood, only punished. Don’t get me wrong, it’s ok to be upset, but destroying property or hurting people isn’t good. Self control has to be taught.

How many objections does it take to just get an entirely new jury. I mean they can’t unhear these things. They can’t really “disregard” all of that

@@bananacathammock yeah officially they’re supposed to ignore but but most of the time they don’t, a lawyer could actually use that to declare a mistrial if they think the jury won’t ignore it
@@winter-jager Problem is then you need to prove the Jury was tainted by those remarks and good luck proving that.
A judge cannot declare a mistrial without extremely good reason and facts to support it

I liked the early seasons of Law And Order Best i found the writing to be really strong and Michel Moriarty is so compelling

Always liked Moriarty and his characterization of Ben Stone.
He’s really my favorite ADA. Shame Moriarty went off the deep end later.

I never watched early Law & Order but I do like this ADA
The only ones I liked from the early seasons of L&O was Logan & Cragen. I didn't care for Stone, Robinette, Greevey, and later Cerreta.
I usually watch the ones from Season 5 and up. Jack McCoy is the ADA I’m used to. But with three cable channels showing episodes I’m recording the early seasons to watch. It’s been so long since I’ve seen them I don’t remember plots or “who dunnit”. I had forgotten Ben Stone’s style. It’s fun to watch these again. I swear I could watch L&O and ‘Criminal Intent’ all day every day. With all the places to see episodes I can!
As much as I love SVU, and I’ve seen them all, I don’t watch those old episodes.
Paul Robinette was one of the best characters on the show.
Definitely. I love some of the later ADA's, but Robinette was fantastic.
He definitely did not get the recognition he deserved!! He’s one of my favorite ADAs along Carisi!
Ironically he was let go as a quota firing. L&O wanted a woman as CO, and a female ADA.
He really doesn't get the credit for his early work with Ben Stone.

The main difference between Ben Stone and Jack McCoy is that Stone does not have the tendency to sleep with his assistants. He is more cerebral, less emotional. Jack McCoy is all fire and brimstone. Its funny that Ben Stone's assistant was male while McCoy's were all female. It must have made Jack very happy.
Agree. As much as I like Jack McCoy, he still came across as a TV attorney. Stone felt more like a real prosecutor.

The old L&O's are the best! NYC always seems to be filmed in the winter thus Logan's leather jacket.. remember when Logan's leather was put on Paul Robinette to try and shake off his Oreo image? I watch seasons 1-7 over and over again!
Rejection is all apart of life...it's how you handle it...Rejection hurts but you take from that and improve yourself...especially if someone doesn't want you
True….and if “someone doesn’t want you” it could be that someone has shortcomings of their own.
A mother rejecting a little boy is a prime example.

WHY do you keep showing clips of earlier seasons when you don't even show Seasons 1-12 on Peacock? You have the entire seasons of SVU and Criminal Intent, but only Season 13-20 of Law And Order?

Ben Stone was always my favorite. The Sam Waterson character was too hot blooded, too willing to skate close to an ethical line for my taste.
