I highly recommend fishing the small creeks in the Kent and Cornwall area, lots of native brook trout and some very cool holdover fish that come up from the main river. Also amazing smallmouth action if you walk along the AT during spring and summer
I really enjoyed your video. If you were on the Farmington there would be 20 guys around you. I love the Hous. Unfortunately when fishing it we are at the mercy of Mother Nature. Tight lines and again, nice video.
It's a great river and, yes, generally more quiet. You're right. Still pushing over 3,000 cfs currently. Not always a great option but always a great day when it is. Very scenic. Thanks for the comment.
Nice video man, really liked the opening shot, beautiful. Too bad the hatch didn't materialize but you had some good action underneath, that first brown was a nice looking fish!
Good job Mike 👍I agree, when going out to a run always work the water in front of you , would be a shame to walk over potential fish ! Good takes on film and some nice action with a nice mix of fish landed ! Haven’t been up to the Housy yet , tight lines Mike 👏
Appreciate you watching my friend. That one I turned too fast and lost would have been a nice fish for sure. Unfortunately the action underneath stopped cold and then nothing happened at the dusk hour. Just too windy. It's a beautiful river for certain and I found myself alone for about the whole time I was out from 5:30 to about 8:30. Worth the trip!
Nice
Thanks !

Sweet video man! I'm right over in Ridgefield and gotta make it over here. Where'd you park for this access?
Thank you very much! I headed out 55 from NY, made a left on 7, and fished around the town of Gaylordsville. Tight lines and sunk flies to you!
