Everything is actually going better now. Bryce has started to become the player we envisioned. Evero deserves credit for taking a patchwork and injured defense and making it hold on. It wasn't pretty. It wasn't good. But it was better than it should have been. Canales is that dude. We got the right coach and QB. And Morgan did incredible with the draft. The future is bright. Its been a while since we could say that. I actually have optimism for next year. The past few years it's just been false hope. The Panthers are young, have a good core, and they are on the precipice of something special. I've been a fan since day one. Been through some ups, and A LOT of downs.... If the team plays like it should, and doesn't get overly destroyed by injuries, AND has another good draft.....watch out. 😊😊 #KeepPounding
You can keep knocking clowney all you want he's a better all around player on that defense than Burns ever was. Sacks Isn't the be all end all of the value of a defensive player
Yeah, I for sure saw Clowney even at his current age, making more of an impact than Burns had last year. It would have been insane to pay burns what he wanted because you can argue we pay Clowney too much but he isn’t making what Burns is and has every bit of impact that Burns has. Hell he literally had more sacks than Burns had this year and is still better against the run.
Same, that take took me off guard too. For a free agent, I didn't expect much from Clowney but agree he has made more impact than even Brian Burns. Let's not know Clowney he balled out and led our Defense team even as sorry as it was talent wise. Guy filled in as a veteran leader very well with Brown out.
Exactly and 20 Million cheaper . Also he played hurt just about all year . He was on one leg the last two games and was still making plays . I would definitely bring him back
I think it’s a good thing that Clowney & Wannum for that matter, are still here on 2 year deals. If we draft a young pass rusher, that veteran leadership will pay major dividends as those guys can take him under their wing!
We're a 5-12 team. But could've easily been a 7-10 maybe 8-9. Solidifying at the QB position with Bryce showing he is our starter will bring consistency amongst overall game performance/ execution.
1) Find a trade back partner to get at least 3 picks within the top 100 2) Draft Edge after trading back. 3) Draft a safety to be the starter for the future. 4) draft a DT so that Derrick Brown isn’t doing it all on his own After those picks, as long as we draft some OLine depth (possibly a center or OG), draft a day 3 RB for the cheap, draft a WR or TE for depth/competition, and potentially add to the LB and Corner room depth. We have A LOT of needs lol
1. What should the panthers do for the safety position group? Was a huge problem this past year, a lot of our safeties walk this off season. I like Richardson though. I would personally draft Xavier watts in the 2nd round.
Need line backers and safeties. The draft and free agency is loaded with Defense this year. Panthers can fix defense and possibly get a tight end and wr. Dan Morgan just needs to hit on a couple of gems like he did with Jalen Coker
Not sure what's up with the Brian Burns love affair but he definitely proved that he was NOWHERE NEAR worth the money he was asking for this year in New York. Decent player who wholly underperformed in moments where he should have been coming up big. Huge missed opportunity to not trade him to LA for those first round picks. P.S Clowney was solid overall in '24
Better off continuing to build the offense through the draft. Canales isnt going anywhere, let him square up his side of the ball. Evero wont be back, why draft for his defensive scheme if hes gone next year?
I continuously disagree with your take of Brian Burns. Brian Burns took plays off because he admitted he did not want to get hurt going into a contract year that by all means is quitting on your team for selfish reasons Dan Morgan does not want anyone on the team that would put themselves above the best interest of the team. I’m glad Brian

Julian is going to die on the hill of hating on Clowney and acting like Brian Burns was LT 2.0

I would keep Mike Jackson. He played well in his first year in Ejiro scheme. He's not the answer but keep him for depth chart.

Thank god you aren’t the panthers gm

I would't be surprised mifmthey go mostly defence in the draft
Got to period
We got a long road ahead fellas. Let's go. Got a lot of work to do. The off-season grind begins now!

New safeties and a good nickel corner. Run stuffing line backers (the jack sawyer type.)
Do not bring back Nick Scott

Man Clowney was making tackles way down the field all the time. Too much money but he was trying.
Julian just be hatin bruhh
I’ll bring back Shaq and let him play like luvu role that way clowney or DJ won’t have to play pass coverage
Burns just played for the bag.. he got it..then he quit.. playing hard
We better not bring back Eddy 😤
He's better than the other options right now. He was playing through an injury that clearly messed up his game. He was really good before that
