    You had already reset the interval. IT said 15,900km until next service.
    You lucky it was a 4 cylinder. The V6's hold 8.5 quarts. By the way, ECS tuning had the Mann filter for $10US. Porsche was $20US. And I love the under panels, My S5 had 20 fasteners. Fun.

      There was 2 interval the oil change interval and the one that isn't due yet I assume is the major. That was showing 15,900 remaining

    You’ll want to use Porsche specific C20 0w20 oil in that 2.0 engine. And yes you’re right, it’s a VW engine. There’s an equivalent VW oil spec that you can use also. Pennzoil 0w20 definitely isn’t C20 so you may want to consider changing the oil sooner than before

      There is an oil spec that applies to many makes and models of European cars.

      agree, My Macan S calls for Porsche C30 specification and Pennzoil does make a Platinum Euro LX oil that has the C30 specification.

    Please tell your sister NEVER to do 15,000km oil changes.
    They're never a good idea.
    The car care nut explained it in one of his videos of a Toyota that was doing 15,000km oil changing needing an early engine replacement due to it.

      Yea I got a friend that use to work at VW/Audi says to not go by the 15k km oil change. But she called in to get her first service done and couldn't get her in until 6 months.

    that looks way easier than an oil change on the 2.9L V6 engine.

    We just use flat head for those non reusable drain plug. I don't think there is a toque spec. So i guess that's a good thing for not able to over toque. But would worn out 😂

    the car must be horizontal, you lifted it from the front, for the complete emptying of the oil!

    Seeing h tech struggle is awesome. P cars still use the turning fob thing probably has to do with their racing heritage or just a gimmicky thing

    I wonder what Porsche will say, during warranty repair attempts, about DIY oil changes...?

    • @gpaje
      @gpaje ปีที่แล้ว +2

      My dealership said it's fine if you keep the receipts for the oil and filter. The oil must meet the oil requirements, in this case Porsche C20 or VW 508 certification, log the date and mileage when the oil change was done.

      14K km, about 8,700 miles. Not terrible compared to some that do 10,000 miles or more.
