HMMWV RoadTrip - Getting a Unimog Trailer

- Hey everyone!
We took the good ol' Humvee out on a road trip, to go pick up an old HMK Military off-road Trailer, for my Unimog.
Overall, the trailer is in great condition, and the set of that, after the Unimog 416, is going to look fantastic!

In my youth driving HMMWV's in the rain, we often just unzipped the windows halfway and said to heck with it. We were going to get wet anyway so we might as well be able to see out the sides better.

About 550 kilometers from Gedser to Skagen, 5½ hours if you drive the max speed of 130 kph on the stretches of motorway on the trip
Haha yeah. it's a small country. if i drive more than 4 hours in any dierection, i will be crossing an international border :)

Based on the number on the trailer, it should be from 1995.
Also, you need reverse lights on your Humwee, perhaps an upcoming project? 🙂
Yeah, that's also what i calculated at first. But the numbers don't allways follow that "+30 years" rule of thumb.
I do have all the documentation, that shows the first date of use/registration, being in 2002.
And yes, there are times i could really use some back-up lights on the Humvee. so yeah, that might just become a project. :)

Just curious, how are you doing with the rebuild of the garage/shed?
Well, i'm glad you ask! -Because i haven't done a single thing to it, yet. :)
But there are a couple of reasons for that, that i suppose i will talk about when we get to it :)
Bit of fun for the weekend. Now I wonder what exactly the tyre size is?
The tyres on the trailer are "10,5x20" (So, roughly 38's)
i would have just hooked up the trailer and drove home why did you trailer the trailer? too risky?
The trailer has air brakes,the humvee doesn't..he does say in the video ;-)
Not worth loosing points on your driver's license if getting caught. Casper needs a driver's license in his job as a bus fleet mechanic

Heh, af respekt for de folk og steder vi besøger, så er de der "Køre-klip" med vilje filmet og klippet sammen i en rækkefølge, så man ikke sådan lige kan se nøjagtig hvor vi køre fra og til :)

They are a bit different from the german ones.
These are built by the Danish company HMK Bilcon.

Hvad er vægtafgift på sådan en humvee?
Det afhænger helt af hvordan den er registreret. så det kan være alt mellem 1500-15000
Fordi min er en gul-pladet og har veteran status, så er den i den billige ende.

We only have the fully automated washes around here. That would not have worked out too well :)
