easytopleez33 hell now a days with cascadia if you get 300k miles without major issues, you are a unicorn. every 30k mile expect a major 5-6k dollar problems so im looking to get this newly manufactured n14 engine on a fully overhauled freightliner and hoping it does me better if i get 700k without major problems i will be extremely extremely happy especially because its less than half price of a used cascadia
lol...n14 = fretting (spun bearing)and premature wear of the rings/pistons, plus it eats injectors..detroits are about the same...reliable: cats and volvo pre emissions. volvos are known for hitting 1.5 million and over without any rebuild..
Video nicely done. You make it look so easy :) I am sitting in Billings right now getting clutch and belhousing replaced on my Celect + after 7k miles on used engine.
Don't know for sure, The guy I bought it from said maybe "350K" emphasis on maybe... I could tell you stories about the perils I've encountered with this project.
@@timothykeith1367 What do you mean what...? The question was simple, it's iron going in iron... Looking back at this question from a year ago, the answer is probably ease of maintenance.
@@amorag59 Motors with liners can be overhauled in-frame, multiple rebuilds are possible. Howdy, cool vid. I’m curious to your opinion of those HHP inframe kits for N14. They about half the price of cummins kit. Any experience or opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
If you guys like the Cummins engine check out Rawze Channel where he rebuilds a Cummins ISX engine for his truck. It has almost 1million miles on it and you won't believe what you see........worth a look👍
TheRebelOne almost million miles? He didn't take care of it then, oil changes done on time amd some good driving will take the engine to 2 million miles..
R32LMedition i think he knows that!!! But maybe he took the precautionary measures and decided to take it apart and clearly all the parts where still new as if little to no wear due to the fact he took care for it. I witnessed his rebuild hes a master at his craft.
Great engine. I’ll keep my series 60 Detroit tho. And for those that say you can’t make power with a series 60, what you are actually saying, is I don’t know shit about engine tuning.

Please buy shoes and gloves for your mechanic... You can also mention "NV" on shoes as well... Customers, state all the warranty details on paper and "what if repaired engine fails" will you get your full money back and can choose different shop as your next attempt to engine rebuilt ? Or will you only get covered parshially for labor and end up paying for towing, parts, and most labor again? Will you have right to choose different shop and have the failed repair shop pay for second repairs for it? HAVE IT ALL ON PAPER! DO NOT TRUST WORDS! YOU WILL REGRET IF YOU DO!
N14 was one of the best motors Cummins made!! please please bring it back !!
Injector cup issues and cracking head issues. But, overall it's an easy million mile motor if maintained. I've got almost 2 million in my W900
easytopleez33 love the pulling power that they had too ... So much stronger than a Detroit yet you keep the fuel mileage ... Awesome motor!
