Pack's Tavern was a hidden treasure it really gave the impression that it was where firefighters go to eat and the food was so amazing I was eating messy and didn't care. That was the best French dip I've ever had.
Unique doesn't necessarily mean the best. Instead of White Duck, you should have included Taquería Muñoz, the actual best place for tacos and other Mexican cuisine in Asheville with their homemade tortillas and authentic flavors. And, you get more for your money as well.
Taco Temple is the place to go for tacos man. i know this is old but try it. its amazing
I absolutely love,red ginger.The food is wonderful and is made by chinese chefs.

Dad and I are the first paying customers to eat at Biscuit Head, know the majority of the managers and head staff. A great place to eat and we go back at least twice when we visit Asheville. Dad and I use to basically eat there almost every Saturday or Sunday for three years straight.

These all look great, but I was waiting for Early Girl, The Vault, Pack's Tavern and the Chocolate Lounge.
I can't believe White Labs doesn't get more love. The guys working in the kitchen are in a class all their own. The pizzas, burgers, and carrots all looked picture-worthy leaving the grill.

I spent a memorable, sangria-soaked afternoon at Curate. I was lucky enough to visit Asheville before anyone had ever heard of it.
Lmao curate opened in 2011. Plenty of people were aware of this city by then. F Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald lived here in the 30s back when it was a well known resort town for rich people. They didn’t have a good time but still it’s been on the radar for nearly a century

I’ve been to White Duck and Tupelo Honey. Both were delicious. I’m going back to Asheville in October and will give some places on this list a try.

You should have included Early Girl Eatery there is a new 3rd location now open on Henderville Hwy in the Parkway Plaza Tupelo Honey has changed chefs and is not as good as it once was I'm sure it will get better

Coming from Southern San Diego California, I'm quite apprehensive of Mexican cuisines in states nowhere near Mexico. LOL
It depends on where you look. Georgia is a mixed bag where too many folks like these Tex-Mex places that think a lake of melted queso goes with every dish, but there are a lot of good restaurants actually run by Mexican families scattered around. The northeast suburbs of Atlanta have neighborhoods that are almost entirely Latino with good restaurants.
There is a huge Mexican and Latin American community in the mountains of western NC. Our Mexican restaurants can be really great and in some small towns they are the best restaurants available.
@@nanettedavidson8949 I actually would not mind a recommendation or two. Me, my wife and son are probably staying a few days in the Asheville area in October. We're not sure if we will be right in the city or somewhere nearby like Hendersonville.

The guy's that founded Papa's and Beer were from California. They worked for Borgwarner until they had enough money to open their first restaurant. They have several locations now. Locals love Papa's.
Somebody dropped the ball on the narration. Curaté is pronounce KU-ra-tay It means take care of yourself in Spanish. The chef, Katie Button . studied in Spain with Ferran Adriá and José Andres. She's got 4 James Beard nominations and is currently the hottest chef in Asheville. Sorry Chestnut...

Lol, be prepared to wait over an hour for your food anywhere. It takes 23 minimum an hour to live in AVL, and these places pay chump change. Poor people, aka wait Staff, have to live an hour away to afford an apartment. Thus, AVL has a huge labor shortage. One bedroom apartment, 1500.00.
The food is the same you find in every other states .

It's not bad, but overblown. There are better, less-known restaurants.People selling Asheville with bought-and-paid-for online reviews should, at least, find review readers that can pronounce the restaurant names.
