Thanks for your words, it is not that I did not try, I did consulting Doctors, other friends talking and being on the receiving end of the violence is not good, each attack got more intense, When she came at me with the meat cleaver I did fear the worst. I never want that experience again.

Sorry to hear your story Les, it seems you were fortunate to get away from her alive...thank goodness.
In all my years, the only time i've experienced/witnessed violant behaviour is with alcohol, drugs or both being the underlying issue & common denominator.
I've been the victim, just as you have. One person who beat me to a pulp with repeated blows to my head & caused me to have a blood clot to the brain, which caused me to have a TIA/asphasia etc. This individual served 10 months in jail, yet could easily have killed me.
Guys/gals, being with or even associated with a violant individual, drink, drugs or both...get out of there, it's not worth the damage they can cause.

Thank you. I've actually suffered two blood clots/TIA's due to this incident.
Asphasia can be a symptom & it's the most frightening thing imaginable for a person to suffer.
Imagine you're talking to someone & it making sense in your own head, yet the words that come out of your mouth are total gobble, not even words.
The first time it happened to me, less than two weeks after my beating, it lasted 2hrs 40mins...something the hospital said was a very long time for that part of the brain to be starved of blood/oxygen.
Other than it happening again, i'm lucky that i've had no other lasting effects...that I know of.

Alcohol can turn a passive person normally into a Monster. I had a friend here who was great fun to be with until he had too much to drink then he became a monster who looked for trouble, walked into 7/11 and picked a fight with 5 Thai lads, he did not win that one.
Walk away early from these people they will give you grief later on in life.

an excellent and honest video. whilst my gf is not violent at the moment, her mood swings are extreme and the jealousy of imagined girls is completely off the scale. I realise it is a cultural clash but when every generous step from you is met with indifference and just more demands then eventually a straw is broken. Thai women should come with a government health warning. I have just spent 2 years supporting one through covid and 2 weeks back via Phuket sandbox have realised it was just a waste of time. I used to be an optimist but now I believe 95% are cynical manipulators. Beware. I still love Thailand.

@@cliveodonnell2498 This is a interesting question I can only give an answer to what I think as we will never know for sure.
I feel accepted by my wife's family I will never fit in as a Thai would do as culture we are far apart, I am not looked on as a provider for them I would say the opposite. Language is a barrier for sure but not impossible. I have to believe what my wife translates but I do not doubt what she tells me. I have also seen other felangs gf family expect payments for everything and demand sometimes. I am always made welcome from my wife's family and enjoy my stay. I am happy my wife can spend time with her family and do not just visit for one or two days we are there two to four weeks is normal for us. I enjoy her farm and open countryside.

From what Ive seen in the Uk, thai women can be exceptionally violent and agressive. Just witnessed one loose the plot over curtains in a soft furnishings store, let out a blood curdling scream and shout abuse at her older husband who remained calm throughout the incident. It was trully mind boggling that she could get so angry about curtains.

This reminds me of what happened in the condo next to mine at City Garden Pattaya a few years ago. The Thai woman was screaming at the top of her lungs and going completely crazy at the farang who was living with her. I have never heard a woman go as crazy as she did. I recorded her screams on my phone. I considered it a warning sign to be very careful giving any Thai sufficient power over me that they would consider it appropriate to behave in such a manner towards me.

Wise words, moving a Thai girl into your home to soon can end in a bad way. Then it is hard to make them leave and the damage they can cause is unbelievable. Seen a gentleman's clothes being thrown out of the fifth floor of his apartment not a happy ending.

@@RetiredandLivingthedream I was really shocked at the viciousness of the Thai woman that was screaming at her farang and what she might have been capable in terms of violence. At all times I try to keep in mind that as a farang I represent an asset to them and a very useful controllable ATM. I guess it would feel like losing the lottery for them when things go bad and they can lash out big time at us. The Thai woman and her farang got into the lift together a few hours later and never said a word to each other when I was there but knowing what went on I was nervous being next to them. It's like they were putting on an act in public like everything was fine even though it certainly wasn't. I'm taking the Kramer attitude on marriage :-) th-cam.com/video/suAhGfVr_4U/w-d-xo.html

I looked at every way why she was behaving like this, I understand the mental pain thinking you had cancer, but the operation saved her life for sure, but I also understand the mental scar living with this, I seen this 1st hand survivor guilt with my 2nd wife as her sister died from Cancer. This is why I researched what I thought the problem might be, consulting the Doctor confirmed it was not the Hysterotomy that was causing the problem it was a mental issue. She refused to see the Crazy Doctor as suggested by the Hospital Doctor. she drank more and became more violent drinking was a trigger point for sure. I could not take here actions any more due to her violence getting worse at every argument. I tried but failed at this one.

@@RetiredandLivingthedream You were right Les. After thinking about my first response and recalling that I had a friend whose wife went through a similar reaction. She went from a loving person to a she devil and being violent as well. The police were called numerous times to his home and he'd explain to them her illness and basically beg that they not arrest her even though he had been brutalized. Most of the time that worked but she did get arrested one time and that made it worse.. I asked him why he didn't leave her and he said she had mental illness and that like any illness it wasn't her fault. He went through hell with her but stuck with her and eventually she got a little better...their children who were teenagers even told him to move on but he wouldn't. Certainly a better man than me and most.

Alcohol consumption has much to answer for in the world..if you can't handle it leave it alone..have soft drinks or tea / coffee.

I thought that and that is why we went to the Hospital, we found out it was not a full Hysterectomy they left one overy in to control the hormone release, they did some tests and said her hormones were normal and that is when they said you need to see a Crazy Doctor. I tried but I could not live with someone who became violent at nothing and attacked me and smashed everything I had. Sad I know but things like this happen.

  • @knockknock1246

Been there. My last wife was very violent. Now, whenever I meet a woman I tell them "If you are crazy, addicted to anything or with disease we cannot be together", and then I tell them, "plus, if you get violent or physically aggressive with me in any way, I'm gone immediately and we are done".
It's tough when you care about someone so much and then you realize it is a bad future if you stay with them. BUT, you are making the right choice.
I've noticed often times if Thai a girl comes to the conclusion she cannot rip you off she'll be extremely pissed and maybe violent. I knew a man that had a girl there who lied to him about medical care bills. They were married! He grew suspicious but wasn't sure how to investigate the issue so he told her a "necessary operation" she needed his doctor friend in the USA would do for free, since he owed him money ..this event became violent and they were divorced shortly thereafter.
    Good Luck!

Wise words being straight at the beginning of a relationship is wise more so here in Thailand. Money plays a big part here let it be known you are not a cash cow from the start.
Any relationship should not have violence in it at any times but when it does its time to do something about it nip it in the bud and find the cause then try to resolve the problem.

I can only give my feeling's about what I did. Not everyone agrees with what I did but I did what I thought was the best thing to do, people deal with their own situations and do what they think best. Hi William, it should be, retirement is a time to enjoy the fruits of your labor, not being a drinker and a people watcher it was fun to watch in Pattaya around the Bars, these Newbie Older Men being played for fools. The Older men thinking they were 18 all over again. It can be a costly lesson. It cost me over 100,000 Baht of broken destroyed items over the 2 year period. So yes I learnt a costly lesson. Better days now though.

Men can fix a lot of things, plumbing, electrical and mechanical, but not crazy. That takes a dedicated professional.
Les was a dedicated first responder and as such was often in close quarters with the dregs of humanity. Harsh words to describe our fellow humans but truth is often uncomfortable.
This leads to a feeling of normalcy after a while, blurring the lines of acceptable behavior and blinding to red flags.
The woman hid her dysfunction well, until alcohol broke the barriers to her true self. Les responded.
Hopefully being a farang in an incomprehensible environment has led to some retraining.
History learned can be history not repeated and we can all learn from Les. Men are often physically abused in domestic relationships, few have the courage to admit it.

My story with Ploy would not be interesting to many as we have no issues and live a great life together were good together and long may it last. My stories are all genuine and i tell others to show the good and bad about dating Thai girls but as a warning only. I will never Judge anyone who dates a bar girl or massage girl there is good in every one. Living here I have herd many stories both good and bad so I hope I portray a balanced opinion. Well Sherlock you finally thought it might be something to do with the hysterectomy, still obviously didn’t think that having cancer might impact on her mental health.
