There to many arm chair MM2H experts on TH-cam who have no clue what they are talking about. I’ve done twice and know the system works. End of the day you must have an agent to handle your case and get pre qualified period.

Why do you want to live in a Muslim majority country?
What about the monthly income? What are the changes on that? The new regulations are very unclear...
From Singapore & migrated to Malaysia KL now for about a year, enjoying my life with my family with 2 kids & a great decision I made in my life.
U are long way from home
malaysia is muslim dominant country . do you want living in our country
Yes Kelantan, Terrenganu & Kedah prefer choices if you prefer to live with muslim dominant places in Malaysia.@@aqildarwisy-np3ds
I’m from Singapore too and been thinking of moving to either KL or JB. What are the challenges you face when living there?
Nothing except my malay language still need to improve, the rest is fine to good for me.@@izfau
Been living and working in Malaysia for 3 years. Took me a couple of months to realize what a gem this place is. Applying for a 10 year residency this month. Some massive pluses:
Great lifestyle at a very reasonable cost
Multi ethnic society, hence more accepting of foreigners
Vibrant culture and reasonably paced (unlike Dubai or Singapore)
Summer all year
Easy access to all of Asia
English is well understood
No wokeness :)
what type of visa are you? which one do you recommend? im thinking of mmh2h, but still unsure
Appreciate this, thanks. Especially since having summer all year is not my “cap of tea” ( my reference to Andrew’s tea episodes😊
Do you know if the changes to the MM2H program apply to people 49 years and older? No one I've seen on TH-cam seems to address this adequately.
no wokeness sounds like a matured society .hmm
Wokeness is a cancer culture. Really glad Asia doesn’t embrace it
I’m Malaysian and my spouse is British, this sounds like a good opportunity for us to retire back to my home country!!
Absolutely!
My sister married a dutch and being live in Netherlands more than 20 years she never give up her citizenship because of the medical benefits here in Malaysia
yes, but the requeriments are very very very difficult to reach if not have big incomes.
Malaysia is not perfect but it's unique and has almost everything 👍🇲🇾✌️😊
Malaysia is perfect for me
Thailand is much cheaper
@@tsp7517 not true, . Malaysia"s petrol and gas are the cheapest in the SEA countries.. many things in Malaysia are cheaper than Thailand also.. check it out..
@@tsp7517 Thailand is far less affordable, prices of property are double in Thailand. Same goes for food, transport and electricity / utilities. Just alcohol is more expensive in Malaysia.
Malaysia offering a great lifestyle compared to Indonesia, Thailand or Vietnam with reasonable cost compared to Singapore. Everything can easily reached here great modern cities, beautiful beaches, best tropical forest and mountains.
😂but nightlife not as colourful as thai.
yeah, i hope more and more foreigners go to Malaysia.
If talking abt lifestyle, other asian countries can't offer the american vibes as kuala lumpur Malaysia. It is just like a little new york. You will never find it in indonesia, vietnam, mayammar...😅

@@peterlee6148HK is like NY? You kidding me? I mean, comparing KL to NY is not exactly a praise to KL, but saying HK is more like NY compared to KL is so absurd. HK despite British occupation is still so desperately homogenous, so that disqualify them immediately from the comparison of a melting pot that is NY or Malaysia. Your comments make it seems like you've never even set foot here, or else you would immediately understand why people are commenting it is like NY.
just renewed mm2h and have been on the programe for years and we love it no problems. lately to many nay sayers on TH-cam who don't know what they are talking about.
$1.00 is approximately 4.6 Ringgit
RM 10000 is approximately $2173 per month.
RM 1,500,000 is approximately $326,086 in liquid assets.

insane requeriments sadly
Finally we been hearing a lot about Malaysia but with little information pertaining to it until now thank you.
It was all on their website. Although it was in text
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks Jelena and the team. Andrews talked about MM2H quite often.
You explain in details! Good choice to live in KL.

Malaysia offers a great lifestyle but I feel they don't know what they intend their MM2H program to be. It used to attract retirees who would rent/buy property and support the local economy. Then they changed it to attract wealthy investors. When that failed, they changed it again and now it's just too confusing. I'd be interested in living there, but not when they keep changing the rules. How can you trust your investment and lifestyle can continue as planned? I don't want to have to start all over in a few years.
very relevant comment. I think once someone makes the commitment and invests they should be grandfathered in and be insulated from any changes. That clearly wasnt the case as some people got cut as a result of Malaysia jacking up minimums to keep up the MM2H - that was unfair.
i believe its a THIRD WORLD country problem and mentality, their politician's dont seem to have a long time strategy for what they are really doing and thus incompetency is a big problem in malaysia just as in thailand they change rules all the time cuz there are no real QUALIFIED ppl in government to LEAD PROPERLY...
u cannot effienctly lead a MODERN DEMOCRACY when your values are based on a ancient tribal desert outdated moral and Ethics, im sorry but its true, its impossible, it just doesnt work, but malaysian leaders hate change thats why they alwasy seem to sabotage the more cultivated and develope chinese to get more political power and influence so they could help make malaysia better instead of this neverending status quo memtality...
Agree. I dont trust this government. No long term vision. No dependability.
Idiotic from the Malay government to do that. Destroyed a lot of trust. Including mine@@cha1868

Malaysia wants to bring high 6 figures salary makars to there.
Those people almost never leave their own country, here or other countries.
I know many of them here in U.S.
They haven't even been been to Mexico.
And they have no intention to go there.
Their vacation spots are in Florida and other U.S. States, depending on the season.

Im a malaysian born..i hv been to afew other country but i still think malaysia are still the best land to live..with minimum income but we still live in landed property & own a car also we dont need to work like hell bcoz dont need much money for food unless you shop till drop..its affordable and relax life..where enxiety & stress rarely exist..only some cases and the best is education are not abusive just enough hours like working people..its good..welcome to Malaysia❤❤

Welcome to Malaysia
Great job 👏
Thanks for the great video.
Request for more information on Malaysia residency options.
In particular, the following topics I think would be helpful to cover.
(1) can any of the residency options lead to PR?
(2) more on tax consequences.
Thanks fot the good explanation. I have a vision to stay in malaysia
we had residency in Malaysia in 2006 with MM2H . But there were so many problems and start/stops with MM2H and changes by the government that after 10 years we gave up and left Malaysia. We wanted to buy property but found there is no land database in Malaysia and its very difficult to prove ownership . Also in the past there were major problems of security . The best MM2H scheme is the one in Sarawak
never thought Nomad Cap would get Gal Gadot as a speaker.... well bloody done sirs
Wished you had elaborated more about the tax consequences for the various visas you mentioned as this could be an important deciding factor, no one wants to be taxed twice on the same income source.
Exactly. This is crucial information. What about the new capital gains tax?
I went there a few years ago. Its bloody hot!
Thanks for the great video! Do you have a source saying that you can open Singapore bank accounts while holding the PVIP/MM2H visa? Isn't that rule limited to Malaysian permanent residents only and not PVIP/MM2H visa holders?
Perhaps you can also do another episode about purchasing a property. I'm a property agent in Klang Valley and I have been approached by many expats wanting to buy a home in Malaysia but unfortunately they found out that they cannot simply own just any property. For example today, if you want to purchase a home in the state of Selangor, the house SPA price must be RM2mil.

Bro u still in Kuala Lumpur? you're cool....I like how you just walked your way to your destination and discover things along the way....for many Malaysians that would be too far
With the way Japan and Europe are going, I might have to consider this.
What's wrong with Japan?
don't be stupid, it's a muslim country...
Malaysia is the most developed hub for ASEAN. If you want to be in ASEAN, Malaysia is the place to be.
very 2 not healthy to raise kid there
@@876rrAccording to Japanese who moved to Malaysia (not a remote case considering Malaysia is their no. 1 country for 14 years in a row for their migration destination), Japan is like Singapore. Too cramped, too stressful, too strict, too expensive, too inhumane. You can't afford to wake up and smell the roses even when your body and mental is in desperate need to do so. The society is too petty; in apartments etc, flushing after 10 pm is already dreaded. Local traditions such as bon odori being cancelled everywhere due to complaints of noise in local neighbourhoods (in contrast with Malaysia, who celebrates everything, to the point our local Bon Odori has 50k people in attendance). They are also hostile against children; you better pray your kids are silent like a doll every time you have the disfortune to appear in the public. Unlike Singapore who are at least unashamed to unleash their agression at hair pin trigger (much like HK), Japanese are too much of double-faced society (tatemae) that forces you to hide whatever it is you are bottling inside, which can lead to the extremes due to having to repress normal human needs and emotions.
Their policies are also mirroring USA more and more these days, even allowing men with no medical therapy whatsoever (in honest words, simply a man) unfettered access to women's single sex spaces. They also defunded rape shelter because the founder refuses to drop "trans" when talking about trans women. A weird take for them, pretending not to know what is a women considering they even have a law mandating shutter sounds due to sexual harassment against women. It's also a place ironically lagging behind in technology, even compared to a supposed third world country like the West often calls Malaysia, in day to day operation; they depend on stamps and faxes even to this very day. It's a gorgeous place to travel, and that's it.
Just visit on a 90-day visitor visa and then go on a visa run if you want to extend. MM2H costs are farcical.
Are visa runs legal in Malaysia? How long would you recommend exiting the country before returning?
Some other visa run visitors have remarked that (some) savvy Customs officials have cottoned on and will put you on a blacklist.
Will stocks or bonds in a brokerage account be accepted as proof of wealth?
Welcome to Malaysia =)
welcome to rich people only yes

MM2H requires 40.00 ringits a month?
Hi
If i get golden visa, can get malaysian passport or how?
smart resourceful individuals are always welcome...😂😂😂😂
Can you please do a video like this for Russia? I’m very interested in permanently moving to Russia. Thank you.
is there a digital nomad visa in malaysia?
so in brief if i am not 30 i can't have any long term visa
What about the original Mm2h which i have from 2014 it was a 10 year , do these changes affect me
Still the same except costs of renewal and duration of visa if i not mistaken
Someone on this thread said you're not grandfathered in, so yes the new changes will affect you. Since your visa will be up for renewal this year, could you let us know if that is true? Also how many more times will you be allowed to renew your visa, I heard there may be a limit, you may only renew twice? Or the total number of years is limited to 15 or 20 yrs?
My mother was born in Malaysia and still has citizenship. She moved to Germany before I was born, so I am a German citizen. I am 26 years old and an entrepreneur and I am wondering if my mother makes it easier for me to live in Malaysia as she still has citizenship
For the MM2H or MM2H-S visa. What is consider as foreign monthly income, can you give me some examples (other than the social security or pension)?
Other forms of foreign income would be rent received, dividends, interest paid on bank deposits, sale of assets, other contributions/ deposits, e.g. a stipend, trust fund monthly/ quarterly payments etc.
These requirements are ridiculous. The average overseas employee cannot meet these requirements. When they say high network, they mean it. 😮
After everything said, I am a canadian citizen with a canadian passport and i can get a 90 days visa upon entry ....so honestly is better to check out after the 90 days and head over to another country for a bit then come back. After all, you really need a visa to purchase a property or open a bank account or to even enjoy Malaysia. If you really think about it these regualtions and rules and requirements for these visas are absolutely a waste of time and money if your passport allows you to stay for 90 days and purchase a property
I am also Canadian, and agree with the idea of not bothering with a MM2H visa. I plan to alternate between 2 or 3 countries per year, traveling light, and being sure to not try to re-enter the same country more than once per year. In the eyes of Malaysian immigration, I'll just be someone who comes to the country for 3 months every year, then leave until next year. That shouldn't be frowned upon by anyone.
Do you have a video about Visa living in Thailand ?
Coming soon... Keep an eye on our channel!
"You will be able to live in Maylaysia FULL TIME". Does that mean 24hrs each day, or does it mean permanently? This is vital to know. The presenter tells us as well that one cannot obtain citizenship through naturalization. How, then, does one become a citizen, or is that not possible in most cases? The name of the visa is "Maylaysia My 2nd Home." That seems to imply that one must have a 1st home elsewhere. Then we are told that the requirements will be modified, next year. How often will they be modified? Are those who were admitted previously "grandfathered-in" after the requirements have been modified. The introduction raises more questions than it answers.
Which visa do i need im from England and my wife she from Sarawak in Malaysia we been married 21 years and we got married in Malaysia. My wife got own land and we building house on it.we moving back to Malaysia Sarawak 3 years time for good.i be 55 years old..i love coming Malaysia citizen and loving have Malaysia passport..
Spouse visa. Sarawak has its own autonomy when comes to education, immigration and long list of others.
You are from England? but your written English is kinda funny. Not British sentence like a native speaker.
Either spouse visa or Sarawak MM2H. It would be no problem for people like you to stay long in Malaysia😊
What i want to know is can you get PR if you marry a citizen there becuse i want to move from the Uk and have a life as a muslim
Lovely, Malaysian love foreigners
Wow 😮👍
I live in Canada and our government just raised capital gains tax I will retire in five years and I’m trying to figure out how to avoid capital gains tax. This looks like a good choice looking for English speaking, low crime, good health care, and school for my young children. Ok I am ready to come my deamond must give me here to safe family
I'm Malaysian, you need opportunity or help?
Are you born in MALAYSIA?
Better to move in the philippines. More fun and love ❤🎉❤🎉❤😂😅
Wow, none of these visas attracted me.
You need to tell people foreigners inc mm2h holders are required to pay double to visit attractions like zoos etc. The gouging does not stop there. Mm2h retirees were denied entry to their homes during COVID - where the heck were they supposed to go?. Malaysia is a great country but don't sugarcoat what is a kleptocratic, corrupt country that changes the rules at whim.
You got locked out of your home?!🤣If they did that then that's because they just wanted to be careful who knows what sort virus you might bring into Malaysia. Hey, they have the right to protect their citizens and you're still an outsiders!🤣
Most of the countries closed their borders during covid. The biggest mistake Malaysia made was to change the MM2H rules and imposed those changes on older investors. I remember my neighbours purchased a house and spent more than RM300k renovating it before they had to sell. Simply because they were unable to renew their MM2H visa as they didn’t meet the new requirements. That’s a huge hit to the system credibility. My family wanted to invest recently and I advised them not to as it’s difficult to trust the system. I expect they make it easier again due to the oversupply of housing in KL, but they may change it again in the future 😅
OK, you have convinced me that Malaysia is not a place to live.
Not for you , but for others.
WHAT IS THE MEANING OF BUMIPUTRA IN MALAYSIA?
This is a so-called affirmative action on steroids...this policy gives more preference to the Malays over those who are not..ie the ethnic Malaysian born Chinese...they receive special rates on loans and preferential status at schools in the country..hence the reason why ethnic Chinese go study abroad and never come back and the so called "brain drain" that's affecting the country...also you can't hold certain position in government because your not "ethnic Malay"...this is one of reasons I see as this country's downfall...I speak from experience...my wife is ethically Chinese Malay and I am US born Chinese...and I see the problems how this policy does affect the non Malays..
Sons of the soil.
I'm a Malaysian.....buy my durian please 😊

Sounds like Malaysia just wants all your retirement money with no possibility to earn some extra money while living there and on top of that they want your outside income aswell. I understood this as give us all your money and then leave or die.

PROBLEMS. (1) Think and do your research as why MY is best for you as a resident as you cannot work or do any businesses. (2) Too much funds deposited in MY Banks with LOW interest rates compared to Singapore, HK or India. (3) MM2H is constantly revised as the Govt has NO framework or Policies that can be attractive (4) Weather is hot hot hot up to 40C and Rains, Rains as the heavens are open. (5) MY Drivers are dangerous (6) Too many workers from Bangla everywhere and public transport (7) Traffic Jams every where (8) Alcohol is expensive (9) Cost of living is up, up and up. (10) Political and Social Economic Disparities btw races. Lots of POOR people with NO Trade or Tech Skills. (11) Levels of CORRUPTION is high (12) Legal system is suspect and justice a problem. Why come to MY? Live in Florida if are a US Citizen on Social Security payments of USD3,000 per month. Philippines or Thailand if you are a bachelor
Countries needs to be more open about crypto. Like Dubai..many people dont like cash and banks…many use USDT OR USDC with crypto cards…banks r history….
A US citizen must be careful about expatriating; if not, he will owe tax to two countries. He can move only to countries where the banks are not part of the reporting system to the US and are not likely to adopt it. Another approach would be to move where he can obtain a desirable citizenship in a short time; then renounce his US citizenship. Meanwhile, he will need tax exemption from the new country.
The grip on US citizens' wallets by the IRS will be loosened as the US dollar declines, but then the value of US savings and earnings will decline as well. If I could, I would leave US ASAP and start the clock to citizenship elsewhere. The US has very bad political leadership. It is not likely to improve soon. American citizens are the colonial slaves of the US ruling class, but they are too indoctrinated to realize it.
I've been in Malaysia for the last 6 years it's a beautiful country especially the weather but I'll never suggest anybody to move to Malaysia because of their laws and immigration for foreigners are not good
And better move to Australia or Canada
They have to be strict
So many neighbouring countries are poor and would swamp the place
@@joebidet2050 but they are not strict that's why many 3rd world countries people comes on visit visa they bribe to immigration another word they come on setting and immigration knows they are coming for work although Singapore and many countries don't grant visit visa easily until you prove you are real visitor and later immigration start raid at different factories residential places etc so it creates very bad impression of Malaysia and they put people into jail because they were working on visit visa or illegal it's big corruption of immigration so many things to mention
It's a minimum of $2.5 million for Australia. I don't think many people can afford that. And not to mention you only get 5 years max.
