Egg cookery is vital, I remember hearing about a chef who when hiring new recruits would ask them to poach him an egg. If they could do that well he knew he had something to work with. And yes, no hash browns or mushrooms is always welcome here on Greeno Eats 😂
That breakfast looked really nice Greeno and it was huge 4 the price, i watched Gary's video before this and it was his Birthday and the breakfast he got was terrible. I truly felt bad for him. Thanks Greeno for letting us go along on the journey with you, stay safe out there greeno and family. 🙏✌️
Nine quid for that!!! YOU'RE HAVING A LAUGH, GREENO!! That's easily £15+ and that includes the chips, which was a bit of an odd choice for a breakie, but I would take it for that price. Thanks for a great find and a great review. Look forward to the next one 😊
I found your channel via Gary Eats, and you seem a top bloke too, who can review food with knowledge. London is such a melting/mixing pot of people from all over the world, I am surprised they can even offer a cook breakfast! Great review and I really look forwards to seeing more of your reviews.
Hi Greeno! Recent subscriber - expat living in the US..working my way through your entire back catalogue and loving the fish n chips and brekky vids (this one looks a winner)..I do miss this grub. Keep up the great work and keep hitting these mum n pop places. Cheers!
Welcome to the channel! I am glad you’re enjoying the content. I’ve worked abroad a bit myself, and it’s always those simple home comforts that you miss the most isn’t it!
Hi Greeno from South Australia. I accidentally came across your videos I find them very enjoyable I was born in the UK and that is my kind of breakfast great video and thank you
Great price for a full english with toast and coffee, especially in London. I always judge a breakfast based on its baked beans. If they're good then, nine times out of ten, the rest of the food is usually good quality. £9 for that amount of grub is top notch.
😱 Greeno!! When I saw the thumbnail I was thinking "£9.00 for just a little breakfast?"...MY GOSH!! That's like a competitive eating challenge portion! £9.00 is really really good for all of that, especially in London! Mmmmm those runny yolks. I love a runny egg. I'm not used to seeing chips on a breakfast except for a spoons 'all day brunch'. I take my coffee that milky XD Those sausages look so plump too. Awwww it looks like you really enjoyed it :D
It was great Rhiannon - and to find such a bargain so close to the centre of London, well it's amazing really - especially given some of the other food pricing I have encountered in the capital !

Stockwell huh, so just round the corner ! I'm gonna call it an "all day breakfast" due to the chips - but good lord it was good, and for the money pretty amazing really !
Well that looked great value for money. Chips on a breakfast isn't the norm up north but some will add them to the meal if you're eating late as they consider it acceptable if eaten as a brunch. Stay safe on your travels mate 👍
A real no frills working mans caff lol! Used to be a few around my old east London stomping ground but one by one they closed down. That was well worth £9 and as you said, they weren't using the lowest quality ingredients either. Definitely a green light!
That looked amazing. Poor Gary should have had that one for his birthday! Maybe next time. Hope to see you both collab again soon. I really should not watch your reviews while hungry!
Yeah I have told him that he made the wrong choice, he should have "slummed it" with me ha ha ! As for a future collab - watch this space, we might just have something in the works...
Now that is a decent breakfast for a very reasonable price. I have just watched Gary Eats tackle an exorbitantly priced mediocre breakfast in London, a cup of tea five quid, outrageous. And it is his birthday. His breakfast came to forty five pounds whereas your's was less than a tenner. Great review as always.
Yeah I saw Gary’s video last night, and that’s definitely a place to leave off of my list! His cuppa was half the price of my whole breakfast with a coffee thrown in!
Had the new Heinz tomato and pickle sauce. Proper taste for the tastebuds. Better than the bacon flavour. It's that good you don't need pickles on your burgers anymore.
The salt-vinegar-more salt technique is absolutely correct. The vinegar takes the first wave of salt to the bottom of the dish, and the second dash of salt replaces it. 🤘🧂
Just watched Gary's latest, he paid £45 for breakfast, and it was crap! Ruined his birthday I would of thought! So Greeno you definitely got the better London deal!
Yes I really felt Gary on his birthday should have gone for a proven winner breakfast instead of taking that risk.Glad you had a fantastic breakfast in most ways!

Not my sort of food (I don't eat meat and can't eat gluten), but great value and huge quantity. I'd certainly eat the beans. Easily enough for two people. Great review.
Hi greeno, that breakfast was brilliant for the price you paid, I watched Gary's video, he had a rank breakfast and french toast, with fruit and golden syrup on, his breakfast was really greasy, such a shame especially as it was his birthday today, he paid alot of money for it, would have been nice if you two had met up and done a joint review at the cafe you went to.
Just watching this, I would've given it a 5. A coffee alone in London is at least £3.50. For them to increase the quality of the chips and beans would also increase the price. It is a balancing act between quality and price.
Absolutely - this was proper coffee, not the usual instant stuff you might expect to find in a backstreet caff - amazing to find that kind of value in Central London !
Greeno, we know how to treat folk in the smoke 😊😉What. a sight for empty bellies ☕🥓🍟🍳🍞Where do I begin as the song says. Eggs, just right. Sea of beans, served on the plate NOT in a bloomin ramekin. Good portion of the back bacon, cooked well. The sausages, could be deep fried (2nd choice. Cooked and dipped in fat fryer) Nice fresh fried fries fantastic. Toast on its own plate, always like to self butter, but not a deal breaker. Cup of coffee. I'm gonna have to stop being a snob( not a spelling mistake 😅) and cross the river more often. Even with the taxi fare, still be cheaper than Hampstead 😂😂😂Cost is amazing, but proves it can be done. All the best Allan&Family
Yeah, it's only just south of the river right you can almost smell the river from there :-) It was indeed a very good deal - when you find a cheap breakfast you expect to find fault in it - either not cooked well, or cheap ingredients. This had neither. Plus a coffee thrown in. £9 - hard to find cheaper that close to the centre of town I'd wager!
That genuinely looked amazing. I am too fussy with my eggs, they need to be yolky and the ones you had look lovely. But! Chips on the breakfast!?! No! That is more like lunch. 😃 That was a really good review. Thanks Greeno.
Evening Greeno. A liitle bit crazy for me watching the breakfast at 6pm UK evening. Earlier viewed a Canadian Guy smash SIX times your breakfast at Kidderminster for UK 40 pounds within 40 minutes.
You know what "Gary Eats" should have come their for his birthday breakfast and Not get ripped off!😂....as for what you had was Excellent value, portion and will be on my list next time i visit London!
It was a great find - easy to get to, great simple food at a more than fair price. And I have told Gary he should have joined me instead of going to his fancy pants choice ha ha !

Great breakfast review Greeno, but if you are in the area again, you need to jump on a 10 minute train journey south from London Bridge, get off at Lewisham and head straight to Maggie’s restaurant. I won’t say anymore otherwise it may spoil the experience 👍
Hello Greeno, looks not too bad, maybe a little too beany for my taste, but all in all, I would spend the 9 GBP 😊😊 Chips for breakfast, I would be in heaven ❤
@@GreenoEatsI have to say, you make me want beans on toast, pretty sure my supermarket has beans + have to ask my irish colleagues to bring some tea to Cologne soon 😂
I absolutely plan to come to Ireland at some point, I have had many happy times there. I spent a lot of time in Limerick over the years as I used to deal with Dell in a previous job, many fond memories there.
Those sausages have definitely been deep fried. Swap the beans out for black pudding or mushrooms and it's a 9/10. Great vfm if the coffee is included. Pity it's not HP sauce in a proper bottle. You keep saying cheap toast Greeno, least it was properly toasted. Defo on my list of places to visit.
Thanks for the tip, I might be able to do that later in the year when I start doing a fee more “at home” videos. During the summer months I am planning to continue to get out and about, taking advantage of the better weather and longer daylight hours 🙂
Always makes me laugh how people complain about hash browns on a full English while being perfectly happy to eat imported American beans (we can't even grow them here). And then eat it with Brown Sauce. Which is just punjabi imli. Brekkie looked tasty tho.
Hi Greeno . Great vid thank you. Certainly a nice breakfast at a good price. Nice to see your channel grow, all be it too slowly. Now I VERY rarely make a negative comment but how can you taste a product properly if you first put brown sauce on it, i know you like it BUT. Personal choice is everything isn’t it! Regards Dave M.
Thats alot of food food a tenner. . We have beanzzz on toast here in NZ . . Also tinned spaghetti on toast . Yumm . I think i would of struggled to finish it all . . Great value i thought . . Till next time take care . Bye from NZ👋🇳🇿🍻twa
Hello Greeno. Back to the original, sort of name on TH-cam. Been having problems with 'nice' people. Today the town I live in was closed down. Barclays had it's windows smashed in etc. Happy Days not!!! You stay safe. What a massive plate you have there. The chips sounded crispy. That's unusual for chips these days. Beautiful eggs, such a lovely colour of that yolk. Bacon isn't too thin and looks good. 👍
Welcome back 🙂 Troubling times around many parts. Stirred up by the usual besuited rabble rousers. Not quite sure how you honour the memory of 3 young girls by looting Greggs… just an excuse for trouble makers to make trouble. Great plate of food at a more than reasonable price wasn’t it. £9 for all that with a coffee thrown in, bargain!
@@GreenoEats I had forgotten the coffee was included. It's £3.50 for a good coffee here anyway! Indeed this is not going to make things better. Bless the families of those little beauties. Just been to check on a neighbour. She went into town this morning and thought, 'Oh it's quiet!' then found out why so got on the bus to come home and three men jumped on the back of the bus. Driver slammed on and she banged her cheek and jaw on the pole with the 'stopper' on it. Driver asked if she wanted to report him and she said no. But it's beginning to hurt now. It wasn't the driver's fault. Keep your three beauties safe and yourself of course. See you on the next review. 👍🥓🍳
Oh, your poor friend - that sounds awful. I hope that she heals quickly. We had minor protests in Weymouth for some reason, but passed off relatively peacefully. I will indeed be careful to keep the family away from any of that nonsense!

I've heard of Maggie's - well worth a visit is it ?
@@GreenoEats Amazing 👍
Hello Greeno, looks not too bad, maybe a little too beany for my taste, but all in all, I would spend the 9 GBP 😊😊 Chips for breakfast, I would be in heaven ❤
Definitely a great value option, personally I love beans so I happily scoffed the lot :-)
@@GreenoEatsI have to say, you make me want beans on toast, pretty sure my supermarket has beans + have to ask my irish colleagues to bring some tea to Cologne soon 😂
@@jessicanippes1730 go for it Jessi, beans on toast is the food of the gods!
@@GreenoEats would you recommend a fried egg on top?
@@jessicanippes1730 I would recommend a fried egg on another piece of toast (personally I don't like it when my egg gets bean juice on it ha ha!
Nuttin like a good breaky even if i sleep from 4 am till 12 30 pm daily brunch i spose .
Well as this was more an "all day breakfast" with the chips included then even with your sleep schedule it should work :-)
Great value for money i think and glad you enjoyed it 😁 would you ever think of coming to Ireland ❤
I absolutely plan to come to Ireland at some point, I have had many happy times there. I spent a lot of time in Limerick over the years as I used to deal with Dell in a previous job, many fond memories there.
@@GreenoEats I'm from Limerick, looking forward to seeing you here 💯
@@MaureenPower-n4y it's a great city, had some great nights out and some heavy hangovers too!!
It definitely should be on your list - well worth a visit. They have the full range of cafe favourites too with lunch specials etc.
Hi greeno. Farm foods do a whole lobster for less than a tenner. Could you do a review on this one please? And how would you cook it. Thanks mate
Thanks for the tip, I might be able to do that later in the year when I start doing a fee more “at home” videos. During the summer months I am planning to continue to get out and about, taking advantage of the better weather and longer daylight hours 🙂
This is money's worth.
It most certainly was!
I'd eat that. You got quite a deal. I wouldn't eat again for the rest of the day.
Lucky you.
Yeah it was quite the meal for the price wasn't it - even including a decent coffee in the deal :-)
Bang on kid eggs top❤
Pretty good for the money in London!!
Just watched Gary eats.his breakfast was almost twice the cost and not very good plus £5 cup of tea.. your breakfast looks great..👍
Gonna watch Gary’s video in a minute, but already had a few people saying he would have been better off where I was, he’ll learn 🤣
Always makes me laugh how people complain about hash browns on a full English while being perfectly happy to eat imported American beans (we can't even grow them here). And then eat it with Brown Sauce. Which is just punjabi imli. Brekkie looked tasty tho.
I guess it’s just what I grew up eating on a fry up 🙂
wow
Good huh :-)
Hello Greeno, I would like you to try gee whites sea food in swanage! I am your biggest fan! :) Please
Hiya, thanks for the kind words. I have walked past Gee Whites many a time, but never eaten there… is it good? I have seen some *ahem* mixed reviews.
@@GreenoEatsyes it was amazing!
That’s a fair point 🙂 Thanks for the kind words about the channel!
Chips on a brekky.. Send it back and walk away.
Maybe I should call it an "all day breakfast" instead - then chips are obligatory :-)
I've converted Mrs Greeno to beans on toast, but still can't convince her that tinned spaghetti on toast is a good idea 🤣
@@GreenoEats 😱 . . . Its pretty good . . 💡 maybe bribe littleN to give it a go . .
Sad that the cheapest fry up in London is 9 bloody quid.
I have heard there are cheaper ones in the outskirts - but I think it would be hard to find cheper in Central London.
Just doing some catch up Greeno, I had 2 days in Chichester in the week. Looked alright to me overall ….Smithy
Hey Smithy, were you at the Bescot this afternoon? Good to get 3 points on the board in the first game!
@@GreenoEats I was indeed Greeno! Was indeed…. Solanke….. thoughts?
@@theabandonedhunter3604 he’s going to be a big miss if we want to build on last season, but it’s a chunk of money!
@@GreenoEats agreed Greeno, get Adebayo in from Luton we will get our cash windfall then! 😀
@@GreenoEats I will check on her tomorrow. She's ok about it but might have more bruising tomorrow. She will 'phone me if she needs me. 👍Makes you think what these bus drivers have to put up with. 👍
@@denisemottley22705 I know a couple of bus drivers, and it's becoming a more and more dangerous job, for not that much more than minimum wage. Not something I'd be keen to do myself!
yes this should be good
Hope you enjoy :-)
Chips with breakfast and vinegar? It's big but it's average - nicely cheap though. See Paolo's for a big wonderful breakfast. A 3.
Paolo’s is definitely on the list, maybe even next time I am in London if time allows…
Chips on a breakfast! Good lord, man, are you foreign? Seriously, looks great. By the way, this bloke named Gary, always wears a gilet, he reckons you need to do a phall challenge......
It's what it came with, and as it happens they were decent ! I hear he wants me to do a Phall, looks like I might have to sometime huh !
