Fundamental Orc tactic: charge screaming WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH! Alternative: charge, THEN scream WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH! Orcs have about as much tactical finesse as the cleavers they wield.
Don't forget that when you have goblin army be led by a goblin boss, and you level him up a bit, the buffs he gives gobbo units in his leadership tree is insane. You'll eventually end up with 60+ melee attack gobbos if i remember correctly.
Savage orcs are probably my fave orc units. The sheer amount of charge damage they do as infantry and that theyre practically naked with clubs is hilarious
They're even better if you use the mod that makes them all dance like Wurrzag. I mean it doesn't technically make them any better statistically, but if they look good, they will perform good. Right?

I like the dwarfes so that's really a grudgin! (Though very neat, I never realized that) Wurzzag dancing is just so comical and fitting of savage orks.

I just wanted to say that I really love the pacing, style, and intonation on these videos. They are great to have on in the background while I harvest more skulls for the skull throne. Very relaxing.
Lovely! Fyi, melee attack does not cap, but your chance to hit does. It is hit% = 40% + yourAttack - theirDefence Does not exceed 90%, and does not fall short of 10%. So more than 50 over you opponent's defence is excessive, but every point closer to 50 over is worth more, as 90 instead of 89 is more of an increase of damage output than 11 instead of 10.
Best part of this video was the Army Traits at the start, watching that small charging horde become a massive green tide that filled the entire screen. Now that's a WAAAAGH!

I try field Goblin army....you be suprise how reckless people get vs goblins like put there lord in easy kill spots because they under estimate them (like in eps 1 of goblin slayer)
Gobbo themed armies are my favorite by far haha. So much fun to play the smelly underdogs. Also: squigs. They also have the best goon-squad in the game, if cheese is your fancy. *edit: in my opinion.* NGWB on a squig and two big bosses on spiders. Keep em together and you can run rampant in the enemy's army with that anti-infantry with no fear of their lord coming anywhere near them.
The gobbo archers seem to deal more damage faster to a whole unit but they lack the power to kill unit modals, so they will be bad vs any army with healing spells but the orc arr'a boys seems to do less damage in the same amount of time but can kill the unit modals with ease, then again it's 90 arrows from cheaper archers vs 45 orc fired arrows, tested this vs brit infantry low armour with/out sheilds and the foot squires
I've pretty much been playing this on and off since launch and there are still details here new to me, great to see such useful information in an entertaining presentation. Since they buffed dwellers below I was struggling but the sneaky stealin' and lore of death work really well!

Great guide, but you forgot that they changed the mechanics of the fanatics ability, it is now a manual ability; The ability is used to block infantry charges and decimate armoured infantry, if you can aim and time it correctly; The ability also shoots 3 loonies now. The eight peak loonies use dwarves instead of metal balls... also one of the best dwarf killer abilities in the game, for the gobbos at least.
Love this series, you give me the courage to play more. I am a painter of Warhammer miniatures and love the total war games but I am not very good, your videos helped me a lot, after seeing this one I want to play with the orcs haha. Love the channel hope we can play online sometimes haha.
I wish they would add Grom the Paunch as a Lord Character for Greenskins. He hasn't been used physically in a long time by Games Workshop. The best we got was some new art of him in a book or two. He'd also be the only Greenskin Lord with a chariot.

It depends on how you quantify Steam Tanks, if you consider them artillery, yes they have the best artillery, but if you consider them more of a monster unit that can contribute some artillery fire, like the cygore, Chaos still have better artillery but due to being an aggressive faction they cant really leverage Doomcanons effectively, similar to how the Greenskins can't really use artillery to great effect. So Dwarves IMO technically have the 3rd best artillery but are the best at utilizing artillery.
Yes... Dwarfs are known to be the opposite of puny. Puny does not mean short, it's more along the lines of weak, and the dwarfs are one of the physically strongest races in Warhammer universe, definitely more so than humans.
After grinding Grimgor into the dirt on multiple dwarf campaigns, I feel like I never rally got to know him. I want to play him now. I bet he had a difficult childhood.
Just wanted to say that the Savage Orc Boar Boys Big Uns do have the Bigger & Arder trait, so like the Big Uns they are effective against large units too, unless I am mistaken somehow

Obviously projectile weapons claim changed when the elves came out, but I thought the artillery was still good. So what do dwarves do better than anyone else? Just high armor and defense?
And Leadership, they won't rout or die easy. They do have good Artillery just not as good as the Empires, However they are better at utilising artillery because they can protect them better and give them more time to do their job.
its often good to pull out the units before they flee, espacially nasty stalkers and fanatics can disrupt the front line enough to fall back with the rest of the troops and wait for cooldowns to end and get moralized again. Although a weakness is that goblins will run away after the first time purely by being outnumbered so you have to gather and outnumber the enemie units again. this works fine tho because you can hide your focus with the stalk ability of many units. And dont forgett skarsniks ability to give stalk and 24%speed to anyone within 40m range, its fking awesome! Skarsnik is the most fun general ever.

A few things to note that have changed since the patch or were left out: -If you want your Orc Warboss to deal more AP damage but cannot afford a Wyvern mount it is enough to mount him on a boar. This doesn´t make him a powerfull combattant though -All Wyvern mounts now have poisonous melee attacks which makes them more survivable in airborn duells against enemies like the empire general -Since Skullmuncha now always deals poison, Azhags spider banner would be pointless and got removed. Instead Azhag can now field magic scrolls -Azhag was given an ability that let´s him regenerate hitpoints over time constantly, I´m currently not sure if you need to purchase it in multiplayer or if it comes right off the pocket -Grimgor Ironhide has been given the Frenzy ability and more hitpoints plus he now does cause fear which makes it easier for him to rout enemies. While he is a great fighter you still should try to avoid engaging him against flying generals and give him a protective goonsquad to protect him from being divebombed
I know I’m late, but the best use for goblins is a fixing force. Put them at the front then great weapon orcs at a staggered placement behind them, making it easier to flank the force attacking the goblins. Then behind the great weapon units I have goblins again to push units attempting to attacking my flanking force from behind. The high melee defense should give the killing/fixing force enough time to eliminate the attacking unit, and then the process repeats.
I don't know if you still monitor comments here, But with the Orcs Arrer boys is says inaccurate. Dose this mean they miss more in general or just from further away. Because I find when I flank with them at close range they unleash a ton of damage. But not so much on routed running targets or fighting other archers at max range. Almost like you're meant to use them as a point blank.
Hmmm interesting find. Not something I've noticed. But there is actually a hidden stat called Accuracy. Which for Arrer Boyz is 10.... which is the same as Glade Guard... So who knows why it says they're inaccurate. They usually my Greenskin Archer of choice.

The Hammer of Gork pretty much summarizes the Goblin philosophy: - It only starts to make sense when you realize that friendly fire on a Gobbbo spearman unit is obviously completely intentional. ;)
Showing armies through this menu is... an interesting choice. It's like 6 Windows put together, so it's really small and hard to read when it's full screen. That's a very pretty picture you have behind it taking up the majority of the image, but I can't even see the animations of these units on my phone.
I just took over a defensive dwarf player with this set of army = Goblin warboss 5 goblin warrior silver improved 1 special goblin fanatics 8 wolf riders 2 giant 1 spider queen 1 squid group Could have been even better with Nasty Skulkers instead of goblin. My opponent gone on full armor percing roster , with canon hammer warrior and great weapon, and cannon. Bad chance cause none on mine were armored. The wolfs riders are not good in 1V1 battle, but 8 units just turn over any unit of dwarves and you just can charge and run many times. The giants and spider queen cause terror and damages , and the goblin warboss is here for waaaag spell. The fnatic goblin is here for its spell to break dwarf front line, and help goblin warrior to fill the gap . Wolf riders tends to flee the combat, but finally makes tons of damage and you can use 4 unit to front charge and fix the backline enemy unit, while the 4 others sneaks in the back of front line unit. With the fnatics goblin and spider queen with completely destroy the line, you soon have a monstruous advantage in terme of number and moral, and your opponent can't really do something as every unit of him are engaged. You can sneak to the lord throught broken lines with your goblin warboss when the Waaag spell is sent, as your warboss will not be so useful after waaaaag spell So : full goblin roster is totally available
The major problem with the entire greenskin numbers advantage theme is that all armies are capped at 20 units. This means you can´t just bring a massive hord of cheap units with only few elites and overrun the enemie as you are basically forced to invest into unit chevrons or more heavy units because otherwise you´re just going to waste your funds.
For poison missiles, friendly fire might be a big problem no ? I won't use them behind my line and attacking opponent's line, either on the side attacking the line or behind my line attacking non engaged units or really big things (dragons...). Poison melee is bread and butter though

I don't know if you still monitor comments here, But with the Orcs Arrer boys is says inaccurate. Dose this mean they miss more in general or just from further away. Because I find when I flank with them at close range they unleash a ton of damage. But not so much on routed running targets or fighting other archers at max range. Almost like you're meant to use them as a point blank.

But there is actually a hidden stat called Accuracy. Which for Arrer Boyz is 10.... which is the same as Glade Guard... So who knows why it says they're inaccurate. They usually my Greenskin Archer of choice.

Showing armies through this menu is... an interesting choice. It's like 6 Windows put together, so it's really small and hard to read when it's full screen. That's a very pretty picture you have behind it taking up the majority of the image, but I can't even see the animations of these units on my phone.

I just took over a defensive dwarf player with this set of army =
Goblin warboss
5 goblin warrior silver improved
1 special goblin fanatics
8 wolf riders
2 giant
1 spider queen
1 squid group
Could have been even better with Nasty Skulkers instead of goblin.
My opponent gone on full armor percing roster , with canon hammer warrior and great weapon, and cannon.
Bad chance cause none on mine were armored.
The wolfs riders are not good in 1V1 battle, but 8 units just turn over any unit of dwarves and you just can charge and run many times.
The giants and spider queen cause terror and damages , and the goblin warboss is here for waaaag spell.
The fnatic goblin is here for its spell to break dwarf front line, and help goblin warrior to fill the gap .
Wolf riders tends to flee the combat, but finally makes tons of damage and you can use 4 unit to front charge and fix the backline enemy unit, while the 4 others sneaks in the back of front line unit. With the fnatics goblin and spider queen with completely destroy the line, you soon have a monstruous advantage in terme of number and moral, and your opponent can't really do something as every unit of him are engaged.
You can sneak to the lord throught broken lines with your goblin warboss when the Waaag spell is sent, as your warboss will not be so useful after waaaaag spell
So : full goblin roster is totally available
Interesting to make use of Wolf Riders against Dwarfs. Have to give it a bash.

Hi, I just want to state, for the record; I reeally love squigs, they are the best.
The major problem with the entire greenskin numbers advantage theme is that all armies are capped at 20 units. This means you can´t just bring a massive hord of cheap units with only few elites and overrun the enemie as you are basically forced to invest into unit chevrons or more heavy units because otherwise you´re just going to waste your funds.
This again means that the greenskins are basically more powerfull on lower funds...
Just ran into the green skins on my path to glory as the vampire count. They are surprisingly resilient and annoying.

I won't use them behind my line and attacking opponent's line, either on the side attacking the line or behind my line attacking non engaged units or really big things (dragons...).
Poison melee is bread and butter though
I believe you can't debuff your own units. Easy to check though.
