Americans: Captain: 2/3 cup Caster Sugar= "Bakers Sugar": 4oz 200g Chocolate = 7oz (read the labels) Update: These came out really nice, but I ended up with a boatload more of the gummies than it looks like. I could melt more chocolate and probably make 3 or 4 more molds of candies. If you do this, don't coat the remaining jelly in sugar, as it will make them breakdown quickly. I was thinking about trying to save half of them and add a layer of Coca Cola with gelatin to make Rum and Cokes.
Yeah you can, need something quite flavourful, but a decent dark rum would be good. The reason I picked this is because it contains vanilla, but you could always add vanilla extract (tiny bit).
What is that liquid he pours into the pan at 30 seconds into the video ? I can not understand the english he is using at that time frame in the time line?
I don't know how he does it but normally, when you add liquid into chocolate, the chocolate will seize because the emulsification between the cocoa mass and cocoa butter will break
+Mandy Cheung (Sorry for my english)... Totally agree with you. And the other thing it is that he do not temper the chocolate and this is crucial whan making chocolates!!!!
What is cake powder? There is another recipe for liquor filled chocolates on TH-cam. The lady sounds like she might be Scottish. She mixes one part corn starch with two parts "cake powder". I have no idea what cake powder is, and a Google search hasn't yielded any information.

Thanks for this ❣️👍🏻
How did your chocolate not seize when you add alcohol to the melted chocolate?
The chocolate was already tempered and by melting it slowing using a double broiler method it didnt lose its temper.
