I started off using my cheap ear plugs, slowly I started to get other accessories such, a studio microphone, studio headphones and soundproofing material on my walls once I started to get the hang of things. It took time but eventually I was sounding like I was in an actual studio. I upgraded my phone to an iPhone and put it like this people pay me actual money to record their songs on my phone with a free app… I’m still learning

I engineered for a few years. I think the access to the tools is great but it’s why there is so much mediocre and bad music these days. The barriers to entry helped the quality of music. The clip this guy plays doesn’t even sound good
