I ran into this TH-cam channel I am so amazed. I have some Puerto Rican background. But was never taught how to cook Puerto Rican food. You have made me feel confident to attempt to try your recipes. The only one I can’t tackle Pasteles. Since I only cook for myself. Thank you I am a fan now lol

Love you guys!! I’ve adopted you as my brothers from Queens! I learned who my father is as an adult and he is from PR (I grew up with a white mom in NJ), so I watch your videos to learn to cook traditional dishes for my PR fiancé and family! So far you’ve taught me to cook arroz con gandules, Arroz con pollo, sancocho, and flan! I can’t wait to try this! Mucho gracias mi hermanos!!!
Would LOVE a good recipe for Sobao! We’re in SC and only get good bread if we go to FL!

Nacho Mama , sorry to say but Florida does not have good bread unless it's made with bottle water my sister has been there for 32yrs now and when she comes to NYC she brings bread back especially bakery quality, water in Florida is not the greatest that's why bread is not very good.

So happy you are back. My dad use to use a screw driver and the mallet from the pylon to get the water out of the coconut. LOL. And to crack the coconut, he would put it in the oven at high heat until it cracked. Out of all of my siblings, I am the only one who can cook Puerto Rican food. My Mom and Dad were great cooks and taught me well. My husband who is Italian rather I make him a good plate of rice and beans over pasta!

I love Tembleque. I had a coconut challenge at work and I won with Tembleque lol. I added heavy cream, coconut powder, and orange blossom water. Topped with a sherry wine spiced syrup and dry figs a seared in coconut oil. It was 😍. Such an easy, flexible and delicious dessert to whip up.
