I just came across this review after purchasing The Foldie 3.0. Thank you for the on screen comparison with the Away bag. I definitely got a great deal, two for the price of one. Paid 79.95 for the promo, so I couldn’t pass it up. I’m looking forward to testing the bag on an upcoming trip.
MzLNicole I got this bag and it doesn’t say the word folder. They had a little zipper inside the little side pocket and didn’t open all the way and I did not get mine strap and I spent almost $60 on this bag and I never got the right one she’s showing in this video
I totally bought this bag for the foldability. It seems every time I travel overseas I have to stuff and rearrange so much to fit items I’ve bought along the way. Well, I’m now prepared. If I need more space it will be easy to just unzip and fill. I am in love with the compact size that opens up to a huge bag. This is just what I needed. I’m all about about function and convenience. Don’t give a hoot about how it looks to anyone else. Getting it to close is indeed a pain but hoping I will get better at it with practice and just plain usage.
I mean the Foldie bag is $80 for 2, so basically $40 ea is a good deal. I dont know how much it cost when she bought it. But 2 for $80 now is a good deal
I just got mine, buy one get one free ..for $80 I got 2 Foldies...good deal using this and my carry on I don't,/won't need to check a bag...think it seems to be really functional....
Hi, Ive just stumbled across your review and thank you.. I was looking for your updated review that you mentioned you will do after your trip, Id like to know your thoughts after you have used it for travelling.. As im from Australia these bags are expensive with the exchange rate. It makes me cautious of buying after your initial review, looking forward to your follow up. Thanks
I bought this bag and first it doesn’t say the word folding second when I opened that little zipper that says fold inside doesn’t have a little stirred doesn’t open all the way on the bottom to make it bigger and it doesn’t come with a strap over the shoulder So I need to know how to get the one I paid for
I bought something similar but made in China. Quality seems not as good but still sufficiently decent. But it only cost me around usd3. Overall I think it's a good bag especially when you plan to do a lot of shopping overseas. You bring this foldie as a spare luggage to bring back your loots from overseas
Yup! Completely agree with how useful it can be and I don't doubt that you can find cheaper alternatives. I do think that the bag is overpriced for the original asking price without any discounts or promos
I have been trying to decide whether or not I want to buy The Foldie vs some of the other similar type bags on the market. I notice that pockets interior and exterior are diff as you mentioned as well as straps that can be round vs flat. I appreciate how you put items from your Away into the Foldie for comparison. Curious to know how you like your Kranken backpack. Would it be the one that is featured on their website for $80.00? What do you like and not like about it? Thank you.
I bought the Foldie so I can put it inside my travel backpack I use for international travel. My person item is fairly small. I travel carry-on only. I plan on using the Foldie for souvenirs and putting my personal item inside on the flight home. I always have to buy a bigger bag for the flight home. 😂
That's actually something that I consider when traveling too! Whether I want to bring a bigger bag just in case lol I love how it does fold into a compact little cube so it doesn't take up a lot of space :)
The big plus is this bag folds up so comparing it to your everywhere bag which has leather straps and a heavier material is not a fair comparison. The everywhere bag isn’t meant to fold up like the foldie.
Hi! Agreed that it's not a fair comparison but the everywhere bag was the only other comparable-ish bag I had but I think either way this video highlights the difference in price point and the pros/cons of a more compact bag vs a bigger one. I hope it was somewhat helpful
I have the 2.0 and just bought my daughter the 4.0. I find it easy to zipper closed and it’s perfect for my daughter to keep in her dorm as a weekender.

Will the expanded bag fit under the seat
Yup :)

How do your shoulders feel carrying it?
What was that other Grey bag you had in your away bag?

hi puppy in the background. air is now in the open bag so it wont fold like new where the air was taken out.
Folding was the biggest challenge. I don't think I will attempt it again. I will just leave it open.

Hi! I just posted an updated review on the kanken backpack :) feel free to take a look and lmk if it doesn't answer your question
This bag is really hard to fold…I watched a video and it took 10 min to fold..plus the long carry strap doesn’t fold in the pouch…
Whats with all the snaps
Is the expandable bottom a different compartment? Or does it make the main compartment larger?
Hi! It’s an expandable bottom that makes the main compartment larger :)
Just to make larger
Mam please you can say from where we can buy it
Hi! You can buy it on their website: www.the-foldie.com or on Amazon: amzn.to/3DE3D7F
Incredibly I’m stilltrying to zip mine up after this super long video review. Poor zip design. Why does that part have to be so tight?
Did see how to fold bottom back up.

@@SassyKarol yes it was. The price point of them on sale is what sold me on them. The full price not so much.
Je veux un sac
I would not recommend this bag. It takes two people to zipper it closed. It feels like I'm going to break the zipper just trying to refold it.
You wouldn’t recommend it just based on how it folds into a pouch?
I have the 2.0 and just bought my daughter the 4.0. I find it easy to zipper closed and it’s perfect for my daughter to keep in her dorm as a weekender.
, so please respond. Thank you.
Too much excess talking about the material, your views of how it stands up etc. We’re here to find out how to fold it.
Which is why I included time stamps so that you could skip right through it :)
I personally appreciated the full review. I watched your video knowing it would be a full review vs just how to fold it. Thank you for all the detail.
