    I have both the 290 and 300. I recently purchased the 300 during prime day for 209.00 which was less than the 290 cost. The biggest difference you did not mention was the 300 will accept up to a 300W device. The 290 will accept up to a 200W device. That is a huge difference in my opinion. That plus the USB C adapter and two outlets makes the 300 a much better deal.

      usb-c is "input" also. I charge using the wall outlet and usb-c input with a 60 watt charging block. I have had it charging at 117 watts using both methods.

    Just thought I would add my experience with the 290. I have a smaller sized 20 quart/21 litre compressor cooler/fridge/freezer. The specks say the draw is 45 watts on Eco mode and 60 watts on normal mode. I set the fridge to 3 degrees Celsius and plugged it into my Jackery 290. I set a fridge thermometer inside along with some cans of beer. This was an indoors experiment with the ambient temperature between 23 degrees at night and 27 degrees Celsius during the day. I noticed that when the compressor kicked in the power draw on Eco mode was between 27-30 watts, not the rated amount of 45 watts. That is a big positive. The compressor would kick in when the fridge hit 4 degrees C and would quickly cool back to 3 degrees and cut out. I checked the thermometer on the inside and the small BougeRV fridge setting was impressively accurate. I ran the fridge on the 290 for over 24 hours and still had 5% battery when I stopped the test. I had one of the beers to cheer both BougeRV and the Jackery 290. Both will meet my needs quite nicely without a huge cash outlay.

    This cat does not tell you but the Jackery has charge through charging which means you can use it and charge it at the same time. So...if you have another unit that does not have the power you need you can connect it to this one and combine the load. When you don't need a lot of power you can split them up and use them in different areas. Nice!

    How long does it last overnight without the vehicle running? When charging the jackery is the fridge still powered by it?

    • @theutahtexan6276
      @theutahtexan6276  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is capable of charging and running the fridge at the same time. I don't do that bc it does degrade the system faster when passthrough charging. Since I have multiple 12v Jacks in my truck I don't. Overnight it runs the fridge without the vehicle running 8-10 hours with 50% life left in the morning

      We have a Jackery 240 and a Jackery 1000. It really depends on what your cpap is pulling, if it has a heater, etc. The one I use takes about 10% of the battery per night with the Jackery 1000, about 40% of the Jackery 240 (which you'd expect).

    • @theutahtexan6276
      @theutahtexan6276  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It would but likely on the max end , so it probably wouldnt run it for long. My guess would be an hour or probably less depending on if that 275w rating is continous or not. If it peaks at a higher watt rating it probably would not run it at all. which after preheat and cook time im not sure it would be usable.

This was in the dead of summer and I kept the fridge in the cab of my truck. One night I ran it all the way down to 0 but it was because I didn't close the lid all the way and didn't know it.

      I have the aj40. I want to say they use the same compressor though so should be good to go. If you need to get better life out of it though , you can always turn the temp up a few degrees at night , and run only on eco for better performance. Overnight the fridge will run a few degrees colder than settings anyway because you're not in and out of it.

    Nice video. couple things I want to address. I'm only worried about the wattage. I'm not good in math esp with voltage and watts and all that lol. I thought you just plug stuff in thinking these devices are powerful enough when clearly Im wrong lol.
    Example I WANT to buy the BOUGERV right .. its like 250. prob 270 with tax. But Im like what next? determine the voltage take? Cause Im getting the JAckery 500 and a solar panel. But see I don't even know if I'll need some type of adapter for the panel Im getting. Cause this panel I ordered I plan to use to power my jackery and that will power my future fridge. Just sharing my thoughts. Maybe you can shed some lite. NEXT , I planned on getting and inverter. I want all of my stuff mobile.

    • @theutahtexan6276
      @theutahtexan6276  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Depends on the jackery model you have. If you have any of the newer models , you can connect solar panels input with either type c USB, or a traditional 8mm input plug. If you have the 290 like I do, then only the 8mm will work. I looked up the fridge you're talking about. It's compressor operates at 45 watts so if it ran 100% of the time, which fridges don't do, then you would be using 45 watts each hour, hence why it's called watt hours. That power load is around the same power my fridge takes and my 290 powers it over night on camping trips with about 50% battery left in the morning. If you get a jackery 500 you will have more than enough power to run it constant for over a day maybe 2 with normal in and out usage. Hope this helps
