Hello i have same laptop and after bios update i had black screen problem. I opened inside but bios battery is not reachable without removing motherboard so I didn't touch it. Any chance you know any solution ?

I had a option to choose between this Rog and tuf. I chose tuf cuz it had Ryzen 9, 16 GB ram, 8gb rtx 4070, doubly sound system, WiFi 6th gen, 144 Hz FHD

Hello, I bought this unit and the keys do not come blank with yours
I have the same Laptop with the same specifications. But I have observed that even through it has a Gen 4 SSD, the read and write speed are that of a Gen 3. Is it something related to a BIOS setting or any contradiction with the AMD as I have not heard this happen with intel 12th gens. Any input would be appreciated.

Does it have coil whine? My 2 units had an insane coil whine and i returner both. It was so damn lous even in idle i could hear it from another room.
I mean only coil whine not the fans. Tried everything.
I have the same laptop, but you can use the ultimate GPU mode in the asus armoury crate, it’ll boost your frames quite a bit and also that mode is only when you’re plugged in. That’s what I use most of the time. It’s pretty awesome, runs games good 😊

Planning to buy this, but not sure because of the 2K screen. I heard that because of the non integer scaling when playing at 1080p it can look worse than a native 1080p screen depending of the screen scaler circuit. How bad it looks while playing a game at 1080p? Can't find any good info about this on the web. Thank you.
Got mine today, 2k is absolute beauty and when I get used to it (like browsing for 2 hours or gaming) and switch to 1080p it looks like crap for a moment, but after 2mins of 1080p it again look fine

For gaming, always choose the one with the best gpu. But you need to know TGP.

I’m in exactly the same boat! Legion 5 pro 2021 or this asus 2022 I’m loving the RGB on this ! But for long term I thing Lenovo will do it better because of heat issues. Does the outside asus logo glow?

Lenovo legion 5 pro Ryzen 7 3060 or Asus TUF Dash F15 i7 12th gen 2022 WQHD varient.
Both cost around 1.45 to 1.50 L
Give the best one for programming, (office works)interviews, coding, photoshop, & gaming . Any other comes under my budget around upto 1800$ mention that too...

Hi there! i am confused between choosing these two ( Asus F15 2022 i7 12th gen 2k resolution display & Rog strix G15 ryzen 7 6800H with same resolution)
Tuf has Thunderbolt 4 but doesn't support power delivery ! and strix don't have a thunderbolt 4 but supports a power delivery through usb 3.2 gen 2 type C
Tuf has a num pad and strix don't
Tuf comes with a built in camera and strix don't (can be added with a clip web cam )
Strix comes with a dolby vison and tuf don't

I'm buying the same laptop but with FHD 1080p and 300Hz and 300 nits and a webcam instead, specs are the same but
I've read somewhere and saw a video that even with turbo mode the gpu never reaches 140w it never pass 110W
and that the ryzen 7 6800h overheates a lot, can you or someone tell me if this is true or not and how it fairs after a year?
I'm trying to decide between this and an Asus TUF F17 (2022) with these specs:
CPU: intel i7 12700h
GPU: RTX 3060 6gb 140w
RAM: 16gb ddr5
screen: FHD 1080P 144Hz 250 nits/ 17"3
both laptops have the same price and they are the only ones available with these specs that I can afford I'm pouring in all my savings into this so I don't want to make the wrong choice, so please how anyone can give me some clarity
PS: I'm leaning more to the ROG because it looks like it's built with more quality than the TUF but if it have these issues I'm gonna have to rethink things
I think you're referring to the 4000 series gpu. This is a 3000 series, it's

Can a laptop last 4 years? I’m debating weather getting a laptop or a next gen console :/
I was able to play most stuff, just had to play with settings, on my I7-6700HQ, Geforce 1070 based system, 17r4 Alienware Snagged in 2017 on best buy open box back then for $1300. Overtime I put SSD's in it and upgraded more ram, used an external monitor. Obviously wasn't maxing the newest stuff but would usually sustain at least 60 in most titles, 30-60 was a good place to aim. Upgraded to a G15 Advantage Edition 5900H/6800M only because once again best buy open box for $1300, couldn't say no to that price/performance...otherwise I would still be rocking the 17r4.
They only thing I would say, during this parts shortage, if it was a desktop system, I could've taken the 1070, ram, drives and put in a newer system and played the waiting game, can't really move much over from old laptops except maybe drives. Ram is pretty far behind speed wise to desktop and its important to remember you're about 50% of the performance on 3080 laptop card vs its desktop counterpart... they're 3050/60/70/80 in name only and not really comparable to desktop pieces....where as the 1070 laptop card in my Alienware was actually a desktop 1070 packaged for mobile. After the 10 series (baring the 51M) you didn't see laptop cards comparable to their desktop counterparts. The 6800M is a down powered 6700XT for example.
@@BigEd2006that's a solid upgrade. I got a i7-6700hq and 960m, last me till sumer 2021 then I upgraded to legion 5 3060. Probably gonna last me at least 5 years.
