Two of the dresses I wore in New York are from Sondeflor! They are having a summer sale from June 9th to the 27th. If you use my link to shop it helps me out loads! sondeflor.com?afmc=h9&
Just hearing about all the flight problems raises my anxiety haha. I don’t mind paying more for a really nice piece but so many secondhand shops are selling poor quality fast fashion for basically what it cost new! The fun in thrifting is finding gems, not overpriced junk! One of my friends saw a jacket for $100 and it wasn’t even a good brand!
Yeah I was so anxious the entire time. & yeah I’ll spend over $20 on a good vintage dress but never on modern secondhand unless it’s a good brand. Some thrift stores be charging $20+ on H&M or F21 and I’m like NOPE 😂
I'm so glad I found you. I enjoy watching you so much even though I don't care for most of the clothes and colors that suit you. It does give me great ideas, though!
Girl! I can’t believe the stuff you found at the bins!! That cardigan is super cute and all the dresses were adorable. I would’ve been freaking the f out 💕🎀
I’m sorry that you had so many road blocks during your trip, but it’s good that you shared it since it normalizes that trips/vacations don’t always go smoothly. Also the gif of the plane flapping its wings had me rolling 🤣
Yeah I think with social media it’s easy to show only the good. But I wanted to be honest because it happens. I have a tendency to get my hopes up and have high expectations and I’m trying to be more flexible and adaptive so I think reflecting on it helped me. And perhaps will help others ❤️
So I read that to get shrunken clothing back to its original form is to put it in a bowl of ice cold water with hair conditioner. It supposedly brings the item back!
The geek on me found it for you! R & K Originals was a clothing company which made fashionable and well-made, but affordable women’s clothing. The firm was established in 1932 by Henry Kalman and David Rosenthal as the Rosenthal & Kalman Dress Corp, changing the name to R & K Originals in 1946. From the beginning, the designer at R & K was Pauline Fracchia, who remained with the company at least through 1960. In 1963 R & K Originals was bought by Jonathan Logan, Inc.
Yeah, I suppose it happens though. Hopefully I’ll get an opportunity to collab with other photographers in the future. When I’ve financially recovered 🤣
I was loving the dresses at the first thrift store there was a yellow striped one and fitted green one with white spots, such great fits on you! BTW I have always bruised easily, no idea why. It’s fun to watch you shop cause you pull out all the ones I would look at too.
I’m regretting not getting that green dress it fit me so well!! I just couldn’t justify $40 but I keep thinking about it. The yellow dress was too small so it wasn’t meant to be but that green one… the one that got away!
True but I think it was the combination of above 90 degrees + the humidity made the air feel heavy and sticky. And it was such a whiplash in change since the day before the heatwave began it was a high of 65F then practically the next day it was 92F - from what I was told by friends, it was far too early at that time for that kind of weather and was kind of wacky. But there had been some tropical style rain the day I arrived. Which may have caused all my delays. Then again that wasn’t the first time I’ve been stuck at an airport due to severe weather over NY 😂 in fact I think it has happened every time. Maybe I’m bringing freak storms with me 🥸
I love to ‘go’ thrifting, I am not so much into watching someone sit in front of the camera talking, silly me! All I needed to do was fast forward? So I did, loved seeing the clothes. I am inspired to wearing more color. Thank You.

Thrifting! Thrifting! La la la la
😂
i absolutely LOVE the white dress, those frilly lacy triangle things are to die for
Oooh yes, square neckline and make maybe short puffy sleeves on the pink dress from extra lower sleeve and hem material for Gunne/ Laura Ashley vibes!

Oh wow! I’ll have to try that thank you!
Yes that works. I did that with my woollen cardigan that shrunk. You have to use a lot of hair conditioner & stretch it quite fiercely! 😄

Love the 🐅 tigger jumper❤
BTW I died at "objection relevance" 💀💀💀

Bell sleeve would be really cute for that pink dress! Nice haul. Sorry about your trip. Looks like you still managed to have some fun :)
Yeah we made the most of it got sure! And I have a few dresses I can thrift flip now so I have some material for some future videos!
FIT was one of my alma maters…I would have been seen across the street regularly circa 2000…small world…..
It sucks that your plans fell apart. But at least you got some cool stuff!! Have a great day ♥️

@@DressMeUpScotty yep, a real curve hugger it was!
Love your cat
70 % humidity is mild for summer on the east coast, at least where I live. 50% feels like there's no humidity at all.

Amazing video dear ❤️❤️
Ty, love. Appreciate you! ❤️
Omg. I see the 🐳 made it onto this video 😭 but glad you had a good time despite all the canceled plans
Definitely had fun. Thank you for showing me around! 🥰
You just can't travel without going thrifting. It's in the constitution. Mandatory. 🗽
Haha yup!
