    I just put the hc head on with new sleeve/stock bore, custom exhaust, 20 pilot and 85 main with oil injection bypassed you way. Plug br7es that came with head. First plug check was great. Started breaking up on the last ride check plug and half the electrode is melted off. Gonna buy a hotter 5 Plug.

      @johncheney3063 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The b7hs plug u recommend is a lot shorter. Would that be my problem may be too far in the combustion chamber? I have to be 7hs plug also that was in my head that I took off

      Thanks. Quick question if you don't mind. I have an early 80s KE and the cylinder is slightly rust damaged from where I let it sit on the floor for a few months. If I get it rebored, will it need to be plated afterwards? I'm not too sure what type of cylinder it has.

    • @2strokeguru
      @2strokeguru  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes and if you bore it you will need a oversize piston BUT if its just rust damage and no cylinder damage save money have it replated no need to bore it

    Thanks for your knowledge and info. Getting resleeved and installing the head as I am new and leaned the oil as tank is deleted. Previous owner installed a dirtbike rear subframe welded on. Any idea of the compression ratio increase? Any problems running 87 although Thinking I'll just run 93 as I am in florida and 45 mph roads so wide open most of time. Where can i get bigger jets? Mine has a custom full exhaust from previous owner.

    • @2strokeguru
      @2strokeguru  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't know what the compression ratio is it is a lot higher and you must run high octane damage will accrue to the rotary valve if the Oiler is bypassed getting is done by trial and error to small it will lean out and burn up to big it will be too rich and cause foul plugs and low power

    Kevin, thanks for all the videos on the KE100. Both the G4 and G4 engines claim 7.0:1 compression ratios. Do you have any numbers for compression before and after? I did pick up a new head from a 73' and plan on posting my numbers. Currently stock with reading of just over 120. Keep the videos coming!

    • @2strokeguru
      @2strokeguru  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      no re jetting however you will when you build you pipe i am building a pipe as well heres a tip on the exhaust the 50cc 2stroke aftermarket pipe with a little mod will work

    • @Douknowgregg
      @Douknowgregg 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      kevin Bergeron ok cool what jets would you recommend or does would my altitude determine that and I have an idea in mind I was gonna use a generic 2 stroke 50cc pipe off eBay I've used before on a motorized bike build I did a few years ago. I also have a 6.0 cc combustion chamber head from the build was wondering if that could work as well I have another ke 100 I'd try it on b4 I try it on mine but just curious if it fits would it work. I was gonna use the 50 cc exhaust and buy another ke 100 pipe and cut it about 1/4 way up form the header and cut the same on the 50 cc pipe and just weld the ke header on the 50 cc pipe so it'll bolt right on.
