It’s ok as a 10.00 voice only speaker . That’s about it. But the distortion of music at any but the lowest volume level would tick me off, especially if I’d paid full price.

I don’t think we’d ever find out if the battery would last for 18 or even 8 hours if you tried to play music with any bass in it. The SPEAKER itself would shred itself to pieces after 2-3 hours max😂

I've never been impressed with any "iLive" products. I bought one of their soundbars and noticed that on the wall wart it only consumed about 9 watts of power which meant the sound was going to be anemic, at the time it was a $60 soundbar from amazon, I returned it after 2 days because it couldn't compete with cheap computer speakers.

      Where'd you get yours from?

@@Eccentech I bought one a long time ago on amazon back when it was more a sound plate vs sound bar (don't remember the model of that one, but it was less than impressive as well). Unfortunately this isn't the first bad experience I had with their products and gave them more chances than I should have.
I bought one during covid about 3-4 years ago as a staples employee at the time because they had a beat by 10% price policy which stacked with my employee discount at the time which actually brought it under $40 at the time. The model I bought was the ILIVE ITB066B 32" Bluetooth Soundbar Item #: 2484393 if you want to see what it looks like. Horrible, horrible soundbar in terms of sound reproduction, I returned it within 3 days after receiving it as I was so disappointed with it. Midrange was very muffled making it hard to understand dialog, no lows/bass, and treble rounded off hard when trying to listen to music. I had it matched to an old 50" LCD RCA tv at the time which actually sounded better than the soundbar. I even left it on for two of the days when I worked hoping it might break in with no joy. I'll admit looked nice, easy to mount, and easy to hookup oh man did it sound bad compared to other products in it's price category, almost along the line of low end computer speakers or a smaller tv speakers. If you get one and hook it by optical you have to change the TV setting to PCM instead of RAW on it's audio output otherwise it won't decode it.
It wasn't just my experience as well, had a few friends buy them too in the past but the iLive brand is pretty much the same as GPX which is basic level audio.
I will say this much though I think computer speakers are a much better deal for most people but the Walmart Onn brand isn't bad (have their 32" from their black friday sale for $30) as the bedroom speaker and gifted it to a few people in the past as it's not a bad one for the price. I'll admit I do like the convenience and quick setup of a soundbar but unfortunately as an owner most people need to accept it is lacking vs a decent computer speaker a few dollars more (+25-50%).
