Very helpful video. Wow. I would never have figured that out without this. What did I do before TH-cam ? Oh I know I would replace my 76 unit every few years. Really nice job. Thanks
I didn't realize that plate came off to expose the gears. My 76 is 11 years old and the included tube of grease is still un-opened. I'm greasing it up today. Thanks. Yes the camera aim got off a bit but I got to see all I needed to. Thanks again.
Just bought a silver limited 76. During first use, about 10 minutes, the mid section heated up pretty bad. My 76 does not have that ball bearing on the side. How would I lubricate that mid-section?
My clipper had 2 washers on the inside I had them serviced before and was wondering if maybe they didn’t notice one being stuck and put another one in. How many washer are supposed to be in there?
Is that a new pare of ciphers you are using for this video? I asked because I have a brand new pare of Oster Classic 76 clippers and when I took the faceplate of the clippers it had them same two brown circle marks on the faceplate. Just wonder if my new clippers are really new or did the store sell me used/refurbished clippers.
I used my Oster Classic 76 clippers for the first time and they got hot in 5 minutes. The blade DID NOT get hot. What got hot was the area where you hold the clippers. Anyone know what could be wrong with them? Remember these are new clippers fresh out the box that I used for the first time. I did open them up to check and make sure there was lubrication inside the clipper and it was. So should I return these clippers or is this common? Or is there something I can do to stop them from getting hot within 5 minutes of use?
DJ Takin' It Back I have a limited edition classic 76. It also over heats but it has always operated efficiently for 3 yrs. I plan on greasing it soon and see what happens.
The best Oster 76 maintenance instructions anywhere!
Great video! Easy to follow the steps and it did answer many questions I had. Thank you so much!

Much better than the old video. This one was good. Only suggestion might be better lighting. Thanks!

this is happening to me!
Did anyone ever figure it out?
Might because the limited editions don’t have the ball bearing to oil the sealed mid section. He mentions it at 7:02

pretty sure just one washer.
My 2 felt pads came out, well one is just missing. Where the hell do i find replacement pads? Or are they not that important.

How often should you do this ?
I can’t buy any clipper grease in my country, can I use Andis/Wahl clipper oil instead to put inside the clipper?
No, you need grease. Oil will burn off quickly
@@The1977lamont is there any other alternative way if I can’t get hold of the grease?
Good video thank you
Amen
hey what about the hair inside like on the motor how would you take it out

ACR how’s it going? Just recently ordered limited edition ones, as well. Have you had any luck with greasing?
I have an older used set and they have gotten hot since I got them. I turn them off as I move around.

A wahl magnetic motor electric clipper would need none of this maintenance... just need to oil the blades
