I’m also running Boston and the ending of this video gave me chills, will definitely go back to this for motivation. One of the most well put together videos I have seen in a long time
Thanks for keeping it real. As a wife and mom of 7, I completely understand the nuances of the process of making big goals happen. Not many people talk about it so thanks! Exactly what I needed to see today. Great video!
Needed to watch this today. Battling to balance all of the things that matter: family, running, work. The process and discomfort is growth and its beautiful when we zoom out and learn. Keep getting after it, great video Floberg!
This video is exactly what I needed to see with my marathon 10 days away. I didn't hit the time I was hoping for during my half marathon tune up race a few weeks back. Regrouped and got back to work. Thank you for the extra motivation.
Eric, this episode was absolutely incredible. Tears were streaming down my face when you were doing that run with Clark. You guys absolutely rock, and I'm so proud of you both!! G1M
That feeling when you blow up on some intervals and you start to question every decision you've ever made. Brutal. I've been there so many times. Nicely put, just gotta keep showing up and move forward.
Beautiful episode capturing the highs and lows of marathon training while balancing family and work. The ending was top notch, tied everything together! Wish you the best to you and your family for the road to Boston.
Crushing it. Marathon training alone is a rollercoaster of expectation and emotion. As I currently train for my first sub-3 attempt, I've learned that the time commitment alone is the hardest part, close second to when the training makes you want to vomit mid session. Lay this on top of having kids, a family, and all the time commitment that comes with as well...I feel you man! I couldn't imagine having to then record and publish your sessions which simply compounds the time commitment. You've been about it your whole training block so far though commitment and consistency. Excellent video, already looking forward to the next!
Love this...had a ride on the struggle bus this week too. Thanks for sharing! I can also relate to things feeling easy on the dreadmill. Definitely something to being able to shut your mind off and let the belt pace you.
You aren’t alone my guy..building for a triathlon in early May and the past 7-10 days I’ve felt this same grind. Thanks for sharing some of the lows during the process. Part of the game, building fatigue ain’t for the weak. Keeping crushing it and you’ll be stronger on the other side!
This video is a masterpiece 👏Probably one of the best you have ever done. That last workout looks tough! I Just got a bib for my very first marathon in Amsterdam after more than a year of running consistently, can’t wait to start my preparation. The fight is worth the feeling 🦾 Thanks for the entertainment and the energy
I rarely comment on videos, but this one really resonated with me. I felt like I could relate to so much of what was said. Fist pump to you for creating such an awesome piece of content!
Such a great video, I felt this hard. I had my speed workout yesterday coming off injury and it was hard. I’m going for another attempt at sub 3 and it’s going to be a hard training block.
Life is not meant to be easy, great video, your paces are incredible I just want to break 4 hours in Chicago and you are flying along at a pace I can’t even run for 400 metres. Some days will be harder than others.
Mate, after your last marathon we were in similar shape (I was slightly quicker) but I couldn’t get near hitting the workouts you are currently doing. These are setting you up to be closer to 2:30 than 2:35. Keep going and good luck!
A completely understand the struggle of the process. As a husband father of three young kids, being a coach having a full-time job and trying to commit to this dream, it can make things very doubtful and being able to commit like some of the elites do , it doesn't mean we won't make it it just means that we have to take them in smaller chunks and are allowed less time. But if we focus just right we are able to give just as good quality and get the same result
These feelings really can switch on a daily bases. Sometimes you get such a big confidents boost and the next day you just think how yesterday was even possible :).
Beautiful Eric. How many times do you watch a 8 minutes video about running and think it’s absolutely beautiful? I also go thru this cycle of feelings of doubt and confidence and think about how i can balance running goal and life… well done Eric!
Thanks for continuously making great content. Super inspiring and well produced stuff as always. For the treadmill workouts, I had the same feeling about ease of workout vs outdoor training. Took several training runs as experiments and found that at 4% incline the heart rate curve starts to match outdoor runs. Still not quite perfect depending on the duration, but feels like a more accurate amount of work🤷♂️. Would be interesting to see if you come up with similar results. Good luck at Boston and thanks for the great content. Cheers
You speak to all runners chasing goals. Wow. You are telling my story. Crazy thay I am chasing the same goal but will be delayed until the fall. Keep it up
I just found your channel yesterday and have gone back through a lot of your catalog already. It really has me motivated as I get back into running marathons after a 15 year break on the distance. Question for you … on the long runs. I hate wearing a bladder, so how are you managing a long run with only 14 oz of water?
Does this appear accurate? After plugging 2:35:00 into the VDOT calculator to analyze the breakdown of paces for the long runs: 7:30 min/mi -> Lower end of Easy run (Z2) 5:45 min/mi -> Half Marathon Pace (Z3-Z4) 7:00 min/mi -> Higher end of Easy Run (Z2-Z3)
great video as always!! i've got my first marathon this weekend and it's bittersweet coming to the end of the training block :') can't wait to do it all again could be wrong but @4:52 i think the mile/km conversion is wrong - a 7:00/mile is 4:21/km, not 4:56/km
That first statement is so true. I got some "shin splint"ish pain in my left leg last week and tried to run through it until i had to take 3 days off, no running. I went from being on top of the world to feeling like the biggest loser to ever have run. Thank god, i recover fast, and im back at it this week.
Love these videos Eric! Just wondering what shorts you’re wearing? I have some cargo bibs for cycling and love them, can imagine they’re just as good in a running version! Thanks!
Sometimes workout doesn`t go as planned. You just can`t let that get in to your head. You and only you are your biggest fan and also your biggest enemy.
Great video! I really struggle on the treadmill. I never hit the same RPE and HR on the treadmill compared to outside at the same pace. I am a complete layperson, but i think there has to be more going on biomechanically that makes the treadmill easier, even at incline. I have started running at an HR on the treadmill that correlates with the same pace outside, regardless of the treadmill pace.
Dude, honestly one of your best videos yet. The balance between running and real life can be so hard, love how well you convey that. Great stuff
Totally agree!
I’m also running Boston and the ending of this video gave me chills, will definitely go back to this for motivation. One of the most well put together videos I have seen in a long time
Let's go!! See you there!!
I had the intro song in my mind before I even clicked on the video. You reprogrammed my mind, Eric.
*evil laugh*
The song is a keeper!
I downloaded the song about two weeks ago for this reason. Provides perfect vibes for running.
What’s the name of this song!?
First time coming across one of your videos. Great stuff man. Your voice is prefect for narration and the overlay of music and volume is pretty solid
Thanks for keeping it real. As a wife and mom of 7, I completely understand the nuances of the process of making big goals happen. Not many people talk about it so thanks! Exactly what I needed to see today. Great video!

“The fight is worth the feelings” ERIC, what a banger video and an even better quote to end it. Stay strong 💪🏻
Eric, this episode was absolutely incredible. Tears were streaming down my face when you were doing that run with Clark. You guys absolutely rock, and I'm so proud of you both!! G1M
BRAVO!!!! Wow, great episode. This is probably one of my favorites, amazing man!
Same. Cyrus slayed. When he showed me yesterday, I literally cried.
Loving this series and your raw emotion in each one!
That feeling when you blow up on some intervals and you start to question every decision you've ever made. Brutal. I've been there so many times. Nicely put, just gotta keep showing up and move forward.
Unreal work on this by Cyrus! Thanks for bringing us along the journey, Floberg!
Beautiful episode capturing the highs and lows of marathon training while balancing family and work. The ending was top notch, tied everything together! Wish you the best to you and your family for the road to Boston.
Great runs, great episode! It’s not lost on me that the city of Chicago is like a supporting actor in these. “And the award for best city goes to…”
Right? Feels a bit like NYC in Casey's vlogs (not saying I'm anywhere near Casey hahaha)
@@flobergruns a Casey collab needs to happen.
Who is Casey?@@davidsawyer10
Such a great video! I’m in the middle of peak week for an upcoming Marathon and doubts tend to appear here and there, but is part of the process!

Good luck on your sub 3 journey
Each video in this series (somehow) gets even better. Have been watching this series as inspo before my marathon workouts.
Love this...had a ride on the struggle bus this week too. Thanks for sharing! I can also relate to things feeling easy on the dreadmill. Definitely something to being able to shut your mind off and let the belt pace you.
Dude, you are working so hard. I love this for you. Thanks for sharing your journey!

These videos keep me motivated to train everyday, keep going!
This video is a masterpiece 👏Probably one of the best you have ever done. That last workout looks tough! I rarely comment on videos, but this one really resonated with me. I felt like I could relate to so much of what was said.
Fist pump to you for creating such an awesome piece of content!
What episode!! I'm from Brazil and i'm here every single video to be inspired and keep going til my limit as well, thanks for that.
Let's go!! Keep showing up!!
Such a great video, I felt this hard. I had my speed workout yesterday coming off injury and it was hard. I’m going for another attempt at sub 3 and it’s going to be a hard training block.
You've got this!!
You look stronger and more courageous after the chunks have blown. Thanks for sharing the journey.
The hard work outs make you stronger! Great video Eric. That looked like a tough session! But you got it done 💪
Couldn't have said it any better 🙌🏽 The struggle is real, but the fight is worth the feeling
Great episode man, your mindset is going to get you far. 2:35s in the bag!
Wow! I was waiting for this. Great! Thanks! Rock on!
I’ve never felt more motivated to crush a goal 🔥🔥🔥
Go get it!!
Pushing yourself so hard that you puke, then bouncing back for those strong reps… WOW. You are an inspiration!
Just have to say yes sometimes!
The image of you running behind Clark with the phrase “finish the race” on the the back of his shirt was awesome
It seriously affected how I finished that workout.
Life is not meant to be easy, great video, your paces are incredible I just want to break 4 hours in Chicago and you are flying along at a pace I can’t even run for 400 metres. Some days will be harder than others.
That outro was absolutely beautiful
Another dope video in this Boston series! Doubt is great for story telling but terrible for athletic performance. Keep your head up! You got this!
Mate, after your last marathon we were in similar shape (I was slightly quicker) but I couldn’t get near hitting the workouts you are currently doing. These are setting you up to be closer to 2:30 than 2:35. Keep going and good luck!
This is a banger! What an episode
All I got from this is that I need one of those treadmills! 😂bruv, Clark is the Mantz to your Claytonness. Going to finish Boston 1, 2. Believe it!
We’re rooting for you Florberg!!
Thanks Eric - these videos are truly inspiring. LFG!!!
Heck yes, bro! Keep grinding

absolute legend, go for it man
These feelings really can switch on a daily bases. Sometimes you get such a big confidents boost and the next day you just think how yesterday was even possible :).
In the first ten seconds, you perfectly summed up my last two workouts.
Your videos are so well done. Thank you!
Fantastic sessions! Keep it going. You’re in great shape.
Beautiful Eric. How many times do you watch a 8 minutes video about running and think it’s absolutely beautiful? I also go thru this cycle of feelings of doubt and confidence and think about how i can balance running goal and life… well done Eric!
Thanks so much, Andrew. Means a ton. Cyrus crushed this one.

After plugging 2:35:00 into the VDOT calculator to analyze the breakdown of paces for the long runs:
7:30 min/mi -> Lower end of Easy run (Z2)
5:45 min/mi -> Half Marathon Pace (Z3-Z4)
7:00 min/mi -> Higher end of Easy Run (Z2-Z3)
what a beautiful video!
great video as always!! i've got my first marathon this weekend and it's bittersweet coming to the end of the training block :') can't wait to do it all again
could be wrong but @4:52 i think the mile/km conversion is wrong - a 7:00/mile is 4:21/km, not 4:56/km
WHAT A VIDEO, ERIC!!!!
Your best video yet
Quality video! Thanks for the content.

Intro song always gives me Friday Night Lights vibes! Imagining running in the early evening in Texas in the Fall :)
Love it
Its a win regardless, you either complete your goal or learn the steps you need to take on your next try
Running video of the decade
Damn the edits are fire.
Awesome episode 👊🏼
thanks so much!!
Love these videos Eric! Just wondering what shorts you’re wearing? I have some cargo bibs for cycling and love them, can imagine they’re just as good in a running version! Thanks!
Stay in the pocket! Keep on keeping on!
Sometimes workout doesn`t go as planned. You just can`t let that get in to your head. You and only you are your biggest fan and also your biggest enemy.
Thank you for the throw up warning 😂

Mmm good idea
This one hit home...
masterpiece
it’s all part of the game brotha. it owes us nothing
Truth.
Amazing vid
about it = been and being!
Okay, what was that song used for the long run? I keep coming back to the video just because I need those strings in my life 😍
Quality video!! If it was easy, everyone would do it.
Sick vid
Nothing like a puke n rally- keep at it Eric!
bro following you on the bike must be ripped
Anyone know the song in the intro? I love it.
How often do you need to do maintenence on that treadmill with so many miles being put on it?
