Will be avoiding any kind of typical Demons Souls Glitch and just explaining World Tendency to help you understand it and get some items and weapons such as helpful Demons Souls rings and some classic demons souls magic boosting gear. Not so much of a Demons Souls Review but I'll definitely share my opinions along with my findings :)

The game is pretty linear, this is probably one of the only RPGs that I didn't need to look up a guide.

Dark souls is definitely more straightforward than demon souls
And although the level design is technically linear, you could really get screwed around if you go to the wrong areas first
That's why I love this game so much choose your own adventure, your own play style, your own everything

I think its an interesting mechanic I just wish that bluepoint reworked it a bit to make it less frustrating cuz fighting NPC black phantoms are a nightmare
Make your photo mode leftside on the touchpad. Anytime you die you can "pause" the game and exit and reload without messing with character tendency

If you want the Dragon Bone Smasher GS and don’t have pure white tendency you can go to the rubble blocking the sword, quit the game, set graphics to “cinematic” reload, and you can clip through the rubble. This also works for clipping through the first broken pillar towards the ballista in the Dragon God fight.
I gotta say this game is so amazing this is the first souls game I didn’t almost immediately take to GameStop to trade in I sat down and learned how to play and I’m glad I did trying to be ready for elden ring

a year on i know but the soul game DS the remake was the only one id not had the pleasure of playing yet, im on ng++ now and loving it, iv played all the others in the series tho this one is the very 1st one in the series and u saying its amazing I'll agree with you yet a tremendous amount of people that's played the others and the original of this one have disagreed, the others in the series Dark Souls 1,2,3, and Bloodborne are good games, Bloodborne for me is the best and a masterpiece in my books if u haven't played that definitely go for it as i throughly enjoyed it, iv not completed DS3 for some reason i just didn't get into it like the others yet i was distracted at the time playing destiny 1 and 2 😂 Anyway give the others in the series a go as u won't regret it.
This is very helpful, again! But, seeing how world tendency, well...tends to change with each (major) action, what would you suggest for let's say "smoothest" play through/transition with them? Where would be the starting point (I am assuming pure black world tendency moving towards pure white?). This is the most confusing part, explanation itself is great!

Hey! Really sorry for the late reply! I would always start from neutral as you do anyway. Try not to die in body form and once you have cleared all the worlds they will all be at Pure White. Then, at the end of the game you can do a sweep of all the PWWT events in each world. Once done, just start dying in body form to lower world tendency using Stone of Ephemeral eyes. (These stones can be bought from the Filthy Woman in World 5-1 and 5-2, one at a time. Buy it, use it and go back for another, rinse and repeat) When you get to PBWT you can do all the events in each world. What I would massively advise is that you kill at least the primeval demon or NPC black phantom in each world to bring the world tendency back to at least neutral before you go into NG+ :D Hope this helps!

Can you maybe explain i have white tendency in all worlds only in boletarian palace i have black one and no matter which world i play i can see only black tendency icon on the top left (where health bar and stamina are) it is always the black icon..

So do I have to do these on different playthroughs? Like right now I am doing my first play through and getting all the white tendency stuff, Do I need to start a new game plus to do black tendency? Or in the same playthrough can I take a bunch of ephemeral stones and keep dying to switch it to black and then do it? Hopefully that makes sense. I’m assuming a new playthrough is needed
Thank you for this. Is it possible to turn worlds from pure white to pure black in a single play through to get the required rings and weapons? If the original play through is in souls form focusing on pure white. Or does turning world + character tendencies require multiple play throughs..
So, once you get pure black tendency and meet one of the phantom npcs can you kill them as a phantom and then change back to white tendency will you still be able to deal with them or are they forever dead? In other words do you need to do a black play through and a white play through to see everything? Or is it possible to do both in one play through?
I remeber that on ps3, the world tendancy was affected by the online community, so things would never stay pure black or white after logging off for a day. Was annoying for farming, but great to those who couldnt get out of black tendencies.
Does playing online have any affect on World Tenancy or Character Tenancy? I hear different things. That you should stay offline, etc... Is that true?
Excellent video as the previous ones! I have a question, I killed Ostrava at the beginning to get the demonbrandt, now how can I get the world tendency to pure white? I killed already tower knight, phalanx of course and the red dragon. Also, the fog gate where the tower knight appears is still there. Thank you.
So to get through the fog gate you need to kill an archdemon (Any last boss of another world) Once you do this you'll get an item which lets you through the fog gate at Tower Knight Archstone. Defeating the Penetrator boss and False Allant boss in World 1 should be enough for you to get pure white world tendency (you may get it after Penetrator boss).....But, this might not happen if you have been dying a lot in body form. What is your current world tendency for world 1? Also, remember, 'World' tendency has no effect on Demonbrandt's power. It's your 'Character' being Pure white that maxes the power of the sword :)

I think my character tendency is also neutral, still I am enjoying the demonbrandt because its raw power is higher than any starting weapon. I am thinking actually on getting those famous ceramic coins as well. I just started a new game play actually (not NG+ but with a new character) and I know that to get them, besides switch to the fractured world, you need to be at pure world tendency (white or black). So that is why I got stuck with changing the world tendency at world 1, because of killing ostrava. Thank you.

When you get it to pure black when you die will it stay black or do you have to use more stones to get it black again?
I played both the original and the remake multiple times without knowing what tendency was
those special areas, are they closed again after backchanging your pure tencency or are they always open after you reached one of the pure stats once?
So what im getting from this video is that world tendency is complicated. Great welp looks like im going to do multiple playthroughs on different characters
I know I’m commenting on a two year old video, but I have a question. Am I locked out of getting pure white if I die in body form too many times? I was fighting False King in body form a few times without knowing the mechanic, and now have a darker world tendency. And I assume he is the last boss in the area. Can you do a "pure black" and a "pure white" run on a single playthrough? I.e, I go to world 2 in pure white, meet Scirvir etc, and then I come back to world 2 later but with pure black and kill his phantom. All in the same playthrough. Is this possible or do I need to do it in subsequent playthroughs?
Co op and PvP can help you alter world tendency as much as you want! Basically you can get a friend to drop you loads of stones of ephemeral eyes. So you can keep dying in body form in a world to get it to pure black. When you want to change it back to pure white you can ask a friend to invade you in a world and let you kill them over and over until it goes back to pure white. :)
I use Latria to play as a black phantom a lot, so would this explain why - after defeating Fool’s Idol (and the regenerator) - suddenly Upper Latria was removed from my game and I had to do the entire first part all over again?
Is there any way to go back to pure white? Also, I’m still in pure black after killing the black phantoms and gooey monster. They do not reappear

"If you manage to kill a worlds black phantom and a world primeval demon without resetting the world in any way = going from pure black to white"
a) If you kill a black phantom npc in black world tendency, will you then be able to talk to him when the world is pure white? Or vice versa, if you talk to him in a pure white world tendency, will he then afterwards appear as a Black phantom in a pure black world tendency? (You must not choose between pure black or pure white to do the different missions - or do you ruin the mission in black if you do the mission in white with the same character`?
b). And not least if you want to get an area pure white when you have killed the boss, is it possible to influence this by helping others in the same area as the blue phantom where they summon you to help? Then you go in nexus kills yourself, and repeat (go back helps like a blue phantom again and back to nexus and die)?
Hey Susie! So with the first point. If say in world 1-1 you kill Miralda as a Black Phantom. You can then run through to the primeval demon in 1-3 and kill it. As long as you don't warp to archstones in the world, warp out of the world to another or warp back to the Nexus the World Tendency won't change :)
A) Just to be safe here. Get to Pure White and do whatever the NPC might want you to do. You can then kill them in their human form and they will still appear as a Black Phantom when world tendency goes to Pure Black. Im not sure if they appear in human form if you kill them as Black Phantom first
B) Being a blue phantom won't help your World Tendency. Best thing to do here is get a friend who has the Red Eye Stone so they can put their PVP sign down. You summon them in as an Invader and they let you kill them over and over

I'm trying to get my world to PWWT in world 3. I've been summoned and helped kill the Old Monk (player and npc) as a Blue and my WT isn't going up or down.
Is there alternate method to raise PWWT? I've burned a couple hours doing this to no results.
I've killed the Old Monk 4 times now, while at 70% +/- WWT.
You forgot talking about the Coins when in Pure Black or Pure White. Another Question: Can you kill the Black Phantom and the Primeval all in one attempt?
The rubble in front of the dragon bone smasher sword is still there and i got pwwt but i have killed the npc in pbwt

For 4-1 im pure white world tendency and the npc doesnt appear for me, is it because i already killed his dark phantom version while i had pure black world tendency or could it be because i beaten all the bosses of world 4?
If you’ve killed the bosses in an area and you’re playing offline is there any way to increase your world’s tendency? Doesn’t seem like it’s as easy to get pure white as it is to get pure black.

1. If I have understood this correctly. If I want to have pure black on an area, Let's say at 1-1 I want to get pure black tendency. If I take suicide enough times in human form, will this 1-1 part become a completely black tendency right?
2. When you have got a world completely black, do you look for Primeval Demon and kill it for a Colorless Demon Soul?
3.If I have killed the boss in 1-1 when the world tendency was neutral. Can I after the bossfight turn it into pure white or pure black? If yes, how do I get it pure white again when I have already killed the boss?
4. If I die a lot in 1-1, will the pure black tendency affect the entire archstone from 1-1 to 1-4 (or just 1-1)?
4. If I want to do pure white missions or pure black missions, in what order do you recommend doing it?

1) Yes
2) Yes
3) Get a friend to PVP with. Summon them in as an invader and they let you kill them over and over. Whatever world you are in will see it's Tendency shift! (So will your character tendency)
4) World Tendency applies to the WHOLE world, all areas :)
5) I would always play a playthough in soul form to get all Worlds to Pure white and do all the NPC stuff. Then keep killing yourself to get Pure Black in each world. Pick up any items, Kill Black Phantoms and get Colorless demons souls if you can. Try to go into NG+ with neutral tendency for worlds :)
@@AshenOneGaming Ty:) about nr 4. You say "World tendency applies to the whole world in all areas". A little unsure if I'm misunderstanding here.
If I die a lot on archstone 1-1 to 1-4 then this archstone will be pure black. But will this affect archstone 2-3-4 and 5 also? I thought the archstone world you are in, is the only archstone world that is affected at a time.
@@Uuuung NP :) World Tendency is for the WHOLE world! If you die in 1-1 in human form you are lowering the WHOLE world’s tendency. This means ALL areas! Doesn’t matter which area you are dying in. There is no specific tendency linked to an area or arch stone :)

- If you are human form and go to nexus and die = Will not affect world tendency anything.
BUT:
- If I am human form and die = lowering WT towards pure black

Dying in Soul form in a World = NO change in world tendency at all
Dying in Nexus In Human form = NO change in world tendency at all.
Dying in Human form in a world and then continuing to die in Soul form only counts as one human form death towards pure black. Dying in soul form does nothing to World tendency :)

I am a bit confused about world tendency and please if you can clarify me what i am doing wrong will be very helpful.
From the beginning i played in soul form never human form , after bosses i go to nexus and die.
I started with first world 1-1 did the first and second boss and left , after playing a bit in in 4-1 to farm from skeletons i decided to kill the first boss, then i went to smithing grounds and killed the spider .
After the spider i came back to 1-1 and killed the knight and then the red dragon.
My tedency in 1-1 still didnt get to pure white .
Can you please tell me what i am doing wrong my head is going to explode , i though killing the last boss you get pure white :/
I followed your video with Ostrava and the key to get the armor of the ancient king, maybe because ostrava died affected my world tebdency i dont know, i just hit him and throw him to the mobs and then i kite him to fire and he died , was no final blow from me but i cant think of anything else. I read that even with the ostrava death maybe the character tendency will be affected not world.
Do i have to start over with a new character or if i made a mistake its fixable ?
