I know those Campus Basketball gyms you’re playing at. There’s one with the lower ceiling where you mentioned you felt like your foot was vibrating on impact, well that’s because that floor (off Earlgate St) is made of rubber compound and not hardwood. Then the other gym with dusty floors (off Lemon Ave) is just around the corner from Earlgate. Both courts are different flooring. I agree I don’t like the flexing on the forefoot part. Tried them on at footlocker and it was a huge turn off.
Absolutely loving the All-Star variant of this shoe. Have placed my order for two pairs. At least the new colour way doesn’t generate trypophobia as the ‘With Love’ colour way kinda do (for me anyway). Great review 🌲🐺
I’ve played in these and for playing I’d recommend going down half a size, I do not have any issues with the flex in the toes and generally now use lace locks to avoid the issue of constantly Re-tying shoes. They feel heavier holding than they do once you start playing in them, overall a great shoe
Only issue I had with these was definitely digging of the material when you bend it but it went away after few games. The shoe laces un tying never happened as I did switch out to the pink ones right away. Insole is weak I will switch out soon. The grip is superb. Too suberb that on clean courts you might get stuck trying to switch directions but that may be due to my weight at 190. Chubby 5'6" lol overall love the shoe. Turns heads on court too.
Changing the insoles is definitely a must, I'm going to be ordering some soon-the insoles includes slide around inside :/. Other than that, I really like them and I'm coming from a Jordan 36. Tempted to get the new wave color as well.
@@scpegalaxy5990 hard to say because the 36 is so light compared to these and feel much closer to the court-the ae1s have bounce (w/ move insoles in mine as well) but also more weight. I'd say the ae1 are a good mix of bounce + cushion/impact protection. FYI I haven't played in the 36s in a LONG time and been playing in 38 lows more recently so take that with a grain of salt.
I got the shoes a half size down and feels the space for toes are quite narrow. Do you think the situation will be better after few games and break-in?
Hey Allen, do you think it is okay if I play on a rubberized outdoor court here in PH wearin that? I mean, do you think, the outsole will give up too like the one you experienced?
Lost me when you mention some concerning issues and state"...but I think the pros outweigh the cons." and then go on to say it may be a top performer of the year. Doesn't make sense and seems to set the bar low, no?
Most basketball shoes have some type of cons to them. The degree to which they worsen the shoe depends though. The AE 1 can have cons that are vastly outweighed by the pros which make the shoe top tier
The commercials for the AE1's are so nostalgic of the Jordan ads 🔥
Crazy that Jordan didn’t sign him
I keep thinking the same thing!
@@cheddaman5169people are suspicious that Jordan is his biological father so he has to keep him at a distance ynahmeannn
Thats because AE is the long lost son of MJ jk 😂
@@cheddaman5169good bc Jordan superstar sigs are always dogshit. Adidas by far has done the best by their athletes in terms or quality & design.
Great Review as always Allen! gonna pick these badboys up, when future colorways come out
Sizing 9:15 Great review thanks
the only problem i had was lacing it kept untying itself but double knot it n u good

Great review man! Very helpful, same deal I was dead set on these but for now I think I'll stick with my Hardens.
This guy is the best!

How’s the bounce in these compared to the 36’s, I have them as well and love the bounce

I recommend the Move Game Day Pro Performance insole for basketball. They are very good.
Toe box tightness kills everything good about this shoe. I was so hype for them and they are an instant return. Toes killing me from one game to the
@@jsclosets can’t return them, adidas wack when it comes to returns.
Salamat, Allen! Now I’m picking up these shoes!
@1:10 dude was trying to trip you???
Nice review by Allen, very informative as always. Definitely going pick up a pair when more colorways drop.
I love my pair. Definitely gonna end up beating these down. Can’t wait for more color ways. 8.5/10 for me playing wise
Can you use it outside
@@MR.Cristian19 yea but the traction will wear down faster that usual due to the material. But you should be good for outside
Any advice for wide footers?
Yeah I’m wondering if a wide footer can go half size down since it’s long
@@por3328go up a half size. I have wide feet and went up a half size and they fit really good
@danpark7161 go a half size up. I have wide feet and went up a half size and they fit good that way
@@CoreyJ23 wide feet you can go TTS but itll be snug at first, half size up if you like a bit more wiggle room
Finally got my pair on the way now! I got the All Star (Future) colorway
Salamat! I was on the fence this review helped a lot!
Which one is wider this or harden?
That design actually looks iconic, like Jordans shoes.
AE 1 OR AR1 ? I play outdoor and im using freak 5 rn
Fantastic review

Yea probably
Can you recommend it for square wide footer?
Hey Allen, do you think it is okay if I play on a rubberized outdoor court here in PH wearin that?

If I go a half size down. Should I go with 9.5 or 10 Move insole size. I usually wear 10 in most basketball shoes like Nike and new balance.
Can you help me what is the best traction that can you recommend right now.
Great review!
Great review bro! How bout a review on Rigorer AR 1s :)
Can i wear this shoes for lifestyle?
nice work Allen
Everyone talking about that they heavy must have weak legs they feel like feathers 😂😂
Way heavier than a Kobe or your average shoe, typical adidas
They are heaver then most adidas I used to play in lebrons they have the same weight they used to
@@Kobk-sy7pl skipping leg day is one hell of a drug lol
i really like that design!
What insoles do you use
Man..looks like if you don’t get a perfect snug fit, lacing these guys won’t go very well. The eyelets look too close to each other.
Does the outsole wear out quickly if I wear it outdoors?
Yes
I’m wondering if the AE 1 has a XDR version in Asia or if the outsole are the same as the US version
adidas doesn't make different versions of its shoes for overseas.
can you do the anta instant zap 1 ?
Are these heavy ? Or light weight?
Respect for the master ball.
Idol, AE low or AE mid?
Does someone know were we can buy the curry 10 city edition PE ?
Go up half a size when playing.
Mabuhay brader. THanks for the review!
I just got a pair and they scrape the skin off the top of my toes but other than that great shoe
Is it good for outdoors? And its durable? I bought it last week and I need it to resist for a long time
The toe box looks hella tapered like it’s gonna ram the big toe towards the second toe .
my man can ball out. hed probably break my ankles
How would any one compare these to Lebron 20’s?
allen! are you filipino? nice review always!
🤣 you blind? You don't see the Philippine flag behind him?
@@HalcyonicHeart-l5x dude, that's why im asking cause I aint' blind and I see it. 🤣 thanks for letting me know!

9:00 for lockdown.

Nikes/Jordan - for hype.
Adidas/Pumas - Performance and Quality.
I feel like the lacing/ lockdown could be better

Good he didnt sign with jb i bet theyd give him a mid shoe.

I hate Adidas, but that's a cool looking shoe.
