Thanks for the review Doc, I'm here to give my feedback after cruising around the house for a couple of hours and playing 1 game in them. I'm 44 and a little guy at 5'7" and a quick , dirty kind of player. At first glance these are friggin heavy. I did not feel the weight in my game though. I must admit, cruising around the house I was not convinced, I was considering not playing a single game in them and selling them ASAP. I replaced the insole with a high arch support insole and game changed. Out of the box these things are super flat with no arch support. 1st thing you should do is pull out the crappy thin flat insole and replace with something decent. 2nd thing you need to do is change the laces, the come undone way too easily and the thick circular shape rubbed on the top of my foot up the front. My dame 8 laces fit perfectly and will never come loose. After playing my game in them I feel like these are almost a perfect shoe for me, I'm 44 and recently recovering from plantar fasciitis, these are nice and cushy in the heel, well supported throughout and have amazing grip and court feel. There is absolutely no evidence I've played in them on the grip, no wear what so ever. One thing I think could be improved is forefoot cushioning, it barely exists but I guess with any more cushion in the forefoot and lack of flange these might be ankle breakers. I was concerned about some ankle rolling due to the softer edge but I felt confident during the game, I never felt like I was going to roll and ankle. These are a huge win in my eyes for my foot. Heel to toe transition is as smooth as you can get. Heel lock down is amazing, no slip at all. Sizing is a touch smaller than I was thinking as they taper in the toe box, my dame 8s are 8.5 and are perfect but these feel a tad shorter, if your current Adidas size is snug I would go up 1/2 a size. Hope this helps anyone considering these.
