DBR 1254 - Spiral Express (4k) (Drone Footage)

On Saturday the 9th or March 2023, The Glenbrook Vintage Railway ran train B051 transferring DBR 1254, Ww 644 and their Mainline carriages to Hamilton for 1 of 2 Mainline Trips. Steam shuttles around the Waikato on the 10th (Which unfortunately I couldn't attend) and the Spiral Express from Hamilton to Ohakune and back on 9th. This video is result of the events that took place on 9th.
We start the video in Pokeno where we see the transfer taking place we then follow the train to Hamilton where the Ww was moved to the East coast platform at Frankton Station for storage while the DBR took the train to Ohakune. We continue the chase at Ohaupo following the DBR south across the many viaducts and through the king country to Ohakune where the loco was turned around for the return journey back to Hamilton.

I remember nzr came out in 1972 till 1980 before tranzrail first came out in early 1990 95 and now looks different 🚆🚆🚦🚧🛤️
