I’m so glad I found this - when this came out I was 10 - and it was like an epiphany for my mum. Ever since she has used her book religiously every Christmas, and now as right of passage I use her book too. This is quintessential 90’s and I absolutely love it - just wonderful.
I used to watch this with my grandmother, and we watched this together one day and I said 'I like that! From that day on and for over a decade I got strudel as my dessert once a week at her house. I had images of her making me a strudel by hand every week until over another decade later and she had passed on when I saw frozen studel in the supermarket. I miss her. :) Thank you for the memories.
Delia's cooking programe was the first cooking programe I have watched, 10 yeass passed I have watched many cooking programe by various cooks and celebs, Delia's are still my favorite.

Fresh cranberries last for a long time…I use them to decorate for Christmas by filling vases with them. I live in a place where cranberries are plentiful so they’re quite cheap. Gorgeous!

"Gas mark xxxx or the equivalent". Always thought it odd she gave gas marks as an oven temp. Surely degrees are more accurate, and electric fan ovens are far superior to gas ovens.

Totally agree. 100%. Loved this series ever since it was screened. Shame the Fairer Sax music was never released as I would love to have a copy of it.

Gas mark ovens were much more common back then in the UK 😊
