Is Janet Todd a native Indian American. The reason I say this is mostly the way she speaks she is very humble yet mighty confident, she has not only physical strength she also has mental strength in abundance. Although this was a definite win for Janet Todd I do believe Lara is only young and she will definitely improve.The way she rallied in that 3rd and then 4th round was really impressive.outstanding fight 👍💪🙏🏻💛💚♥💙💗🔥🔥🔥

Did you see how surprised JT was when the decision went her way? I had the same response. I must watch again to see what the judges saw.
Janet won cuz she almost knocked out Lara in round 5 and wobbled her in Round 4.
Also, Janet hid the effects of Lara’s strikes well while it was easy for Janet to off-balance Lara. Janet won unsurprisingly.
I have not yet seen a wrong decision by the judges in one, although it is true that Janet Todd's face is a poem.

Grande Lara, la número uno!!!!;
Lara was fighting great with relentless pressure and was starting to pull away then she tried to just coast the last round. I can only imagine her corner told her to do this thinking she would as comfortably ahead? Either way it is what lost her the fight, she was doing great on the front foot and by backing off it allowed Janet to take the final round and gifted her the fight.
If that was because of advice from her corner that was terrible advice and has cost their fighter the belt.
I feel for Lara because I felt she deserved the win and Is the better fighter but props to Janet for her warrior spirit and heart.
Lara lost and gassed in 5th
To me it looked like Lara faltered as soon as JT landed the straight right in the beginning of 5 and never really recovered. Todd changing who the attacker was sent Lara's game plan/preparation out the window. You will win far more once you realize who the aggro/initiator should be.
JT seems to take a couple of rounds to learn her opp and then take them apart.

Jesus, Janet was literally preventing Lara from scoring by having an iron body and untouchable balance and composure. Excellent conditioning.
For those who don’t know, in Muay Thai, you can prevent your opponent from scoring if you don’t show any effect from their strikes.
If you show signs that you’re hesitant to fight back because you’re in pain/scared or if your balance and composure is ruined by the opponent, the judges will give your opponent lots of points.
Janet almost KO’d Lara multiple times in the last rounds and ruined her balance many times while Lara was unable to do the same. It was obvious who was going to win.
If this is a 10 Points must system then that is not how that works. Under the 10 points must system every punch or kick landed is a point regardless of it you show effects or not. Now if it isnt a 10 point must system and using traditional Muay Thai system then thats different.
@@grandtheftaudio6386 traditional Muay Thai still uses a 10 point must system but what I said above still applies. The judges use their scorecards to help paint a picture of the whole fight after it’s over but really its more on the judges than the point system.

Janet couldnt believe she got the win lol. That was a close fight. Lara landed alot of great punches and kicks, ALOT. But Janet just took it all, like a champ. That last round though she rocked Lara a few times. Havent seen to many times where someone has picked up the pace and started being more aggressive than the aggressor lol. She had Lara backing up though. That + the hard shots.. Gotta stay with the champ!

Maybe in round 4 Janet was hurt by the liver kick but she was so determined to make history. Her warrior soul made her the champ she is. I do believe she won every round which round 4 & 5 were the display of her better & stronger punches than Lara

I have to question how they pick Janet Todd's opponents, they always seen to look much smaller than her. I can see that been a one time thing but going through all her fights, I can surely see at least 70 % of her opponents are alot smaller than her. I like to see her take on more opponents her size.

You might check you dictionary for the word 'robbery'. Very close fight, so could never be a robbery. Round 1 and 5 clearly JT, 3 and 4 Lara and 2 might be open for discussion, although JT was landing more effectively from the counter.

En 5 rounds le ha dado sólo 2 buenas manos y todas las patadas bajas bloqueadas, alguna le ha entrado por el medio y altas ninguna.
No entiende que tenía que ir hacia la derecha todo el rato y se metía en la guardia de su oponente todo el rato.
Demasiado débil de cardio y físico, debería subir de división, eso lo ve cualquiera.
Y el entrenador dándole órdenes todo el rato... eso es que ella no tiene IQ de pelea, parecen novios.
En cambio el entrenador de Janet muy profesional, 3-4 cosas y punto, las órdenes y el estudio del rival ya tienen que estar claras y venir del campo de entrenamiento.
No la han nokeado porque es atomweight, porque su defensa de manos es nula. Bastante ha hecho con no lesionarse.

First round JT, second could have gone either way, but JT was a little bit more effective from the counter, 3 and 4 Lara and 5th clearly JT.
That's why I like about lethwei rules. Either you win by KO/forfeit or the fight is a draw. No points, no decisions, no discussion.
No, Lara lost. The most important rounds are rounds 3-5. Janet won rounds 3-5 by a large margin since Janet wobbled her in round 4 and almost KOed her in round 5.
Lara could barely affect Janet even though she threw more strikes which is not what the judges want to see. This is not the kickboxing scoring system, this is Muay Thai.
