    More men need to hear this. So many men these days do not have father figures. That's why I am glad people like you exist on YT.

    Being a born-again christian, "basics" are so necessary. I pray that more people become christian. I have been sharing with people christian content even knowing they are not christian, in the hope some of them will "wake up". However, may His will be done, not mine.

    Leaving us hanging, Mr. Wilson. We're waiting on the 3rd part to this homerun series....been 2 Sundays and the anticipation rivals that of Christmas morning..

    24:29 - Everyone knows this is true masculinity and love: a godly man should interrupt all of her plans. Yet, how sad that the world despise this type of man.

      Where are these men though? Seems more sad that these men give way to being despised by this world. I know many, many, beautiful and godly ladies, ages 19-24, waiting on the Lord to be interrupted...

      @@miriamslack4086 That’s amazing if they are willing to be interrupted. I’m grateful that you know many of them, which is a sign of God’s grace. It is a sad thing that there aren’t more men like Pastor Doug is describing here to pursue those women.
      My point is simply to point out that even the world knows that this is true love while at the same time despising true love. It is more a critique on the hypocrisy of the world that I’m making than on the lack of godly men (which is also true unfortunately).
      May God raise up more godly men who would be willing to pursue godly women!

      Every woman I’ve tried to interrupt has rejected me. That’s okay. That’s their prerogative. Just means I’ve got to work on being worth interruption.

    "All of life" includes formulating a mathematics research program. All of Christ is for this, too, but it needs gifted people to tease it out!

    @9:42 "wave a wand and make sex go away" Why the hell would you wanna do that? ;) "supply and demand" = woman and man? I feel sorry for this man's wife, if he has one. I recognize this guy from a Hitchens debate, I miss that fine man.

    • @zapazap
      @zapazap 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      He does not say supply and demand equals man and woman. He says it is an inexorable aspect of man and woman. If you are going to feel sorry for his wife, do so from an accurate exegesis of what he said!
      Cheers! :D

    “Would that people had a little more courage in this respect. The reason we so often hear that strident, contemptible talk about money being everything is partly that those who must work lack the ethical vigor to acknowledge the meaning of working, lack the ethical conviction of its meaning. It is not the seducers who do harm to marriage, but cowardly married men. So also here. Contemptible talk such as that does no harm, but the ones who harm the good cause are those who, forced to work for a living, at one moment want to be recognized for the merit that is in it when they compare their lives with the loafers and the next moment complain and sigh and say: But still the most beautiful thing is to be independent. What respect, then, will a young person have for life if he hears the older people talk this way?” Soren Kierkegaard, Either/Or
