    Agree, I have waterbox10 and the right out of the box, the pump makes an horrible ticking sound.

    I am working on putting 2 IM mighty jet pumps (326 gph) in a IM Fusion pro 20 gallon. Would like to see vertical stacked mounts or design to only take up half the rear center chamber. Full size skimmer is shared in return pump area. Great videos, just placed an order for applicable parts. Cheers!

      I wonder if it would be possible to fit the second pump in the bottom section that extends under chamber 1&2 . Not sure if the pump will fit but that could be a good alternative. Your going to have some serious flow in that tank.

      @@ISeaLive I'm looking into if that will work with the pumps under those chambers. I'm sure ill get it all to fit, just minor modifications and stuff. Final parts arrive today for build. Ill post a build list on reef 2 reef as the 20 gallon tank is around a $4k build, lol. Pumps will be run around 50-75%. 400-500 gallon per hour over turn, also have a mp10 wavemaker. Ordered stuff yesterday, thanks! Deciding between Nano K1 and IM desktop skimmers. Both arrive today.

      @@ISeaLive Didnt fit in bottom chambers under 1&2. I was able to place both mighty jets butt to butt at the bottom of center chamber. UV sterilizer fit resting just above. 2 heater coils and ATO are also all in that center chamber. Tight fit but enough room for flow. Wiring is all done.

    Pump was likely rattling against the glass. Or the push pin. I had the same issue in an Im20 gallon that made the same exact noise.

      Whatever the problem the upgrade was well worth it. The pump is silent and working great 👍🏻.

    Crazy I literally bought this same pump from amazon a week ago for my jbj rimless 25g aio and realized how big it was and thought man if I could place vertical it would work... needless to say I returned it. On a side note, I recently purchased a isealive cover for my hygger power head and love it!

    • @ISeaLive
      @ISeaLive  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Haha, yeah I wanted a controllable DC pump so I had to figure out how it could fit. If you want to give it a try again I’ll print you a set.
      Thank you for the Hygger guard order. I’ll love these guards and have one in each of my tanks.

    You need more water in that pump column, if you add more water it will stop making that noise. I had the same issue in my jbj. It just means your water level was low there.

    • @ISeaLive
      @ISeaLive  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      My water level was low at the moment I was filming but even when it was full it sounded about the same. I don’t usually keep the water level that low. I just haven’t installed the ATO yet so it was about to run dry.

    New to your channel, also new to waterbox peninsula and also to 3d printing ha. What a awesome idea though. Love what people are doing with 3d printers now! Just ordered my waterbox peninsula 25g and i see everyone moans about the pump so this makes sense to upgrade now, can i buy the plans of you? I know some one with a 3d printer so should be able to get it printed out. One thing though is 3d printed plastic reef safe? I assume it is as you are using it

    I think , if you make silikon points on the grond , you can make the pump more quiet , because of the vibration.

    • @ISeaLive
      @ISeaLive  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That would work but I haven’t had any noise issues after changing the pump.

    Thxs for the video.
    I can't stand my waterbox, thx God i got it used cheap.
    The pump is too powerfull, can't adjust, fish are traumatized, i turn it off half the day.
    I have a smaller one, but i m afraid when i get the plumbing for it, it won't fit in the return hole.
    Tank is always a mess, all my other tanks are clear and the fish are happy.
    I see you seem to be troubleshooting more than enjoying looking at the fish.
    Pretty tank, but i have only issues with it.
    Clearly not a system for me.

    • @ISeaLive
      @ISeaLive  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I forgot where I got it but it is just some sort of standard 12v jug/smalll water pump. i've gotten a few different ones over the years that all worked. (until they broke lol). You just need to get something that fits into the mouth of the jug and plugs into the wall.

  • @spicyreef
    @spicyreef 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Snazzy 🙂
    I love that strainer on the bottom. can you share the STL?
    I plumbed mine so the water exited the bottom rather than bringing the water up to the top. This helped with water flow and preventing detritus accumulation on the bottom of the tank.

    • @ISeaLive
      @ISeaLive  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sure, shoot me an email Mark@iSeaLive.com and I’ll send you the STL.
      I’m not sure I understand what you mean by plumbed the bottom. So you drilled the back inside wall of the tank ?

      The pump had water. It was just loud. Probably the push pin I found was causing the loud noise.

      Haha I’ve been upgrading my tanks for the past 20 years but it hit a different level when I go into 3d printing. Interesting I haven’t put an ATO on this tank yet. I have it sitting on my desk and I’m going to install it next week. It’s going to be an upcoming video.
