    For those asking about the green liquid he's feeding, it's mentioned in a reply further down that it's amino acids. I would assume its something like Red Sea Reef Energy PLus )which has the same neon yellow/green look) I use it and it's great.
    This is a really nice build and I love how clean the glass is. Struggling to get the algae from the corners and sand line on mine

      Correct, except I'm using Aquaforest Power Elixir. Doesn't need refrigeration nor do I have to shake before use. :D

    Been doing this for years. I do it on my 30g reef and 135. No sump no skimmer, i also use tap water and no rodi. Just hang on backs. T5 lights and power heads. I have over 15 acroporas and 70 other lps and sps. People spend too much money and time worrying about needing expensive equipnent

      @@rondavis2791phosphates arent bad. I get algae but its all under control naturally by fish. Inverts and so forth. I even have amphipods that eat algae. My rocks are grey colored algae cabt grow anywhere exceot my overflows on my filters where fish and whatnot cant get too
      My tabk has tons of phosphates and 40ppm nitrates. But not once have i ever had dinos like alot of people who chase phosohates get

      It could be malachite green solution for ich. Makes sense as he puts a drop in after adding additional corals

    LoL, not trying to be a big shot but I been running my 10gal without a skimmer for months and don't plan on it. Only have soft corals, a few hermit crabs and a turbo snail. I put a hammer in it so I'll see how that gose

    nice job, but you could have used a big bowl or a cylinder tank given that the volume is so small already. The black edges detract from the viewing.

      I like this tank, a bowl or cylinder type of tank is horrible for filming. Maybe in the future though..

      Technically yes, but only if the salinity is right and there is no pollution in the water. I use natural sea water sometimes as well, but they pump it from 15 meters below the surface to avoid pollutants.

    I had led lighting but a very good expert told me not to use led lighting bc the fish are taken out of the ocean and there is no led lights there..Ok that makes sense and he said only use natural light bc that is the light these fish and life know. I agree so Im switching my tank to natural light and I did and Im getting a much more robust life in my tank and it looks so much more better.

      If you want to keep fish only, sure. But with most corals this is not an option. Also, more and more fish you see nowadays are captive bred.

      Did you do a water change directly after? That might be the problem, usually you stir the sand to get detritus into the water column so you can remove it.
