    I really liked your demonstration . It looks pretty simple to do and I like the use of sheet moss to finish it off. I think that will also help hold in moisture as well. I want to mount some bromeliads and ferns on my patio wall to save space and add interest , and this technique will give me some versatility .

    You could also use some burlap for the roots if you have some loose soil you want to keep.

    Hi Nick, I have never heard of this technique before- and I LOVE IT! ❤️ I’m a total outdoor food grower (veggies, berries, grafting fruit trees). Houseplants have never been a favorite of mine, having only a few. THIS looks amazing to me- with all the outdoor elements look to it- I totally want to go for it and cover my walls! I just love these mounting videos you make! Thank you for sharing your ideas and talents with us! 🌱🌟

    Gorgeous! Nick, I purchased a small Japanese birds nest fern that was mounted on a board and I think I didn’t water it enough. If the leaves are still green but feel dry and, sadly, bordering on crunchy, is my plant dead or can I revive it? It’s in a hallway with far indirect light in NYC. Thanks for any info (if not you, any other gardeners reading this).

    Great video! Do you put anything behind it to protect the wall from moisture from the plant? I know when you take it down to water it well and let it dry before putting it back up, but I’m concerned there will still be moisture in the wood…any tips about protecting the wall? Thanks!

    Great and really helpful video! Just a tip! The "ph" on sphagnum sounds like a "F", instead of a "P". Latin, I know... 😅

    • @cleliac.2470
      @cleliac.2470 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Perhaps it's "Latin à l'anglaise" 😉😄. But, fortunately, Nick Pileggi is one of those nice and thoughtful American and British TH-camrs who kindly put the botanical names of the plants on the screen or in the description box, so that a poor foreigner like myself can identify them 😊.

    • @fabiocarvalho2105
      @fabiocarvalho2105 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@cleliac.2470 oh yeah, probably is, and agreed! Nick is such a dear, I do love his videos 💖. Funny fact, Anglo speakers don't say "epiPytic plants", but "epiFytic" for epiPHytic 😅

    • @cleliac.2470
      @cleliac.2470 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@fabiocarvalho2105 Of course they do 😄. I know that your "tip" was meant in a kind way and that there was absolutely no arrogance to it. But I really find it fascinating how the botanical Latin used by, let us say, Russian, German and even French florists and plant lovers is mutually intelligible, whereas the English version is something very… special 😁.
