Great observation ... you are correct the AT PRO is going to be the most accurate and stable machine out of those 3 detectors... even thought the Gold and MAX have more power and get more depth ... they are definitely more chattery and sensitive! The AT PRO is hard to beat... when it comes to a silent search, stable detector and very accurate on those vdi numbers!

I have the at gold, and the max, in my opinion the at gold with the stock coil is a better machine, put a nel tornado coil on it and it's much deeper one too, just a little harder to pin point with it. HH
Hi I just had to sub. Anyone that see the AT Gold as one of the best is in my court.I have easily put 3000 hours on mine and it has found me great enjoyment with some awesome finds, paid for in clad the first year I had it. and thousands in clad and jewelry including a half once 24k gold ingot. But they are crap on our beaches.( Western Canada) So I have been looking and at first seriously thought of getting the Nokta Impact but after chatting with Kurt from Hoover Boys and now you and a few others, that it's time to hang up the Gold for the Max. I would love to see these three in the field together on real targets, each machine over the target then dig see which one picks the better targets consistently. I will never give up my At Gold as I take it prospecting but I want a Max asap. Thanks for the demo/comparison test, I am looking for ward to move action form Max. GL&HH

Hi Kelven First off the claims l have been working on don't have enough large pieces of gold that I have heard of but I use it to check tailing and hunting for what ever the past miners may have dropped (found a couple of stashes a couple of nice gold rings and plenty of coins and other treasures As for the beaches here. On the dry areas works fantastic but there is so much mineral content including massive amounts of black sand. Not sure how you are testing your detector if you can't detect 1oz nugget I have found rings that weighed only a couple of grams as deep as 8 inches and it screams dig me dig me really loud 🔊 Just so you know most of the places that have known gold are already claimed and without permission they're a big no go The claims I have been working tend to produce mainly fine gold and on that note I have tried and the signal I get isn't one I would dig. Really junkie sounding but the little jar I found with mostly 3-5 gram nugget and total weight was 3/4 oz Sounded like I found the lost gold from Fort Knox and was 10 inches down and under tree roots. Not sure why this notification came up on my phone today but legit questions so maybe late but if it doesn't help you it may help someone else. Good luck
I dug an aluminium can with my max today and it was a minimum of 15 inches on the beach I was shocked to shit... holy crap it's a new machine I'm still learning to use it but I think I'll be going over some old haunts now knowing I'm probably gonna get a minimum of 40% extra depth on my last machine ace 250 which was good to about 6-8 inches on small objects and 10 inch larger objects
Thank you for the comment! Yes.... that MAX is deep.. I dug a Sardine can at about 2 ft deep! Yes... definitely take it to the spots you hit with you ACE and you may find some deep targets the ACE missed!
For starters he automatically ground balanced the machines wat is a no no. If u manually balance the machine it's better and the machine will work better. U can go to ur local prospecting shop or Google it and they will tell you the same thing. Plus I think the manual book even tells u.. I have a garrett at gold and I wouldn't buy our waste my time on anything else. But at the end of the day it's not the machine it's the user using it.
Thank you for the comment and I really do appreciate the support! Yes I agree with you the AT Gold is an excellent all around detector however the person using it makes all the difference in the world!
I watched with great anticipation of the results. I being an AT Pro user and wanting an AT Gold was not too surprised by the results. If you want relics a Garrett will do ya but if you are a coin shooter a Minelab is probably better. I have both and switch back and forth all the time. Great demo. GL&HH
C'mon...You were convinced that the Gold was the Cat's Pajamas, and then you waffled over the hit and miss tones from the MAX??? How much were you paid to rate the MAX.....er....MAX??? Now why not put on the Sniper disc on all three and see who reaches to Australia in that show down!!
Thank you for you comment and I really do appreciate the support! Lol... yes it was tough battle between the Gold and Max! they both are very similar on straight up performance. However the MAX does have some nice features with the backlight and built in z-lynk.
Thank you for the comment! You are exactly right.... I didnt have any gold at the time but I bet the AT GOLD would have outperformed both machines on that test. The AT GOLD is hard to beat!

@Brad Brad GARRETT AT GOLD was $750 ($1000 today) Sold $700 I think the coil would get wet searching creeks then stop detecting, worked fine every spring after sitting all winter.... 2nd machine Minelab Gold Monster $1000.... AWESOME Gold Platinum and Silver Nugget Finder.... 3rd machine I bought was the Minelab GPZ 7000 $12,699 Canadian... I now hunt with both the GPZ 7000 & short sticked Gold Monster... I find deep targets with the GPZ 7000 and dig & pin point with the Gold Monster.... I gold hunt in British Columbia CANADA and Nevada USA
I would say it was a great video if he would have tested them with gold what everyone wants to find not sure why I've never seen a video yet where somebody will put gold in the ground and test A T-Maxx on it I've been hunting with mine for about 4 months nearly everyday and haven't found any gold yet found some silver jewelry with it and a stainless steel diamond ring and tons of modern change but I don't own any gold to stick in the ground to test it with maybe if I dig enough of those low tones but get tired of digging pool tabs and tinfoil I think maybe the iron audio discriminates the gold 🙄
Thank you for the comment and I really do appreciate the support! Yes all of the ATs will hit good on gold jewelry ... however gold jewelry is one of the hardest things to find especially while inland detecting. You have to go through 1000's of pull tabs and other metals that fall into the gold range... that goes for every detector... unfortunately. You can increase your chances by narrowing down populated areas and maybe focusing on lets say solid tones with the vdi of 45-55... Check out my Urban Gold Mining videos when you get a chance I share a lot of tips on those videos for finding gold.
@@Team.Huffman.Fishing I'm new to your site... finding your video very informative... I'm up here in the Pacific Northwest in Oregon.... we do a lot of sluicing and panning. If I could just suggest if you haven't done already.. get yourself a couple picker nuggets.. and do a depth test with those. A little trick that I've used floating down on inner tube with a 250 lb fishing magnet. Mask and snorkel on... dragging the magnet on the bottom of the creek bottom.. anytime when I start picking up Nails spikes Steel... that's when I go down and do my sniping. With good results,( small pickers nuggets)I'm research right now I'm picking up a couple waterproof metal detectors by Garrett. What would you recommend?
Really the name is on the control housing stickers for basically it's best detectors at least they could engrave it or inlay it or just paint it on man how cheap can you get I know it's nit-picky but I have a Garrett 300 it has a sticker on it when I buy at 8 $900 detector I don't want to sticker I want the name painted engraved or inlaid
@@Team.Huffman.Fishing with the equinox 800 coming out you'll be surprised what a little pride can do for you a nice badge even if it's glued on or inlaid or whatever psychology basically you're competing for people's business if you put stickers on your product and make it look like s*** people are going to think it's s*** no matter how good it actually is Garrett is better than that we're better than that and we deserve better even if Garrett has to put up the price a few bucks how much more could it actually be to have their name inlaid engraved he'll just paint it that's what I'm getting at say I'm looking at a White's detector all painted metal and I look at the Garrett detector the sticker is going to be a turn off seriously when you see that runs through your mind oh this is a cheap piece of s*** psychology it doesn't matter how good you are if you dress like a hobo everyone's going to think you're a hobo sorry for the rant I just wanted to clarify
Do your research, spend the money on something you won’t need to upgrade because you’ve found out that it really isn’t that good and you wish you’d bought something else, buy smart - GO MULTI FREQUENCY
The Garrett AT's are still great detectors and I have found a lot of good stuff with them over the years. However... I do think everything from now on coming out from Garrett will be multi-frequency. The multi-frequencies that replace the AT's will be awesome!

Thank you very much Metal Pirate Girl! You honestly cant go wrong with any of the ATs but if I had to choose one it would be the MAX!
At first the max gave me one heck of a learning curve to the pro but now I think I am better with it than the pro as well as I dig less trash accept when I choose to because I just have to check myself and the curiosity gets to me. I still like the pro tones better but always go to my Max
lol... yes I know what you mean on checking those iffy signals and digging trash....im like if I would just listen to what the machine is telling me I wouldn't hardly dig any trash at all but the curiosity gets to me and I have to dig it..lol.
Adventures with Ed Huffman you totally understand
Love the comparison ✌️

at pro mars tiger coil gray ghost headphones is a great combination regards from australia
Got a vid of the AT Max up against the high dollar CTX 3030? I'd love to see that one!
Thank you for your comment Gwen Roney! I have not tested the AT's against the CTX 3030 on video but I may do a test with the AT's versus the Equinox's!
Very nice job testing the detectors!!!! Sure would like to see the Max against the Deus !!!! Speed recovery & iron testing!!!
The Deus is a toy compared to the Max.
(said no one ever.)
deus the best
no problem ^^Choose a mineralized zone that you laugh a bit
Jersey Digmore The deus is an over rated over priced badly made detector that is no where near as good as many other detectors on the market harf it's price.
ok but deus is the best
thx for the comparisons

At max!!! Every derecror for everyv task.
I'm new to the hobby I got me a max!
Thank you for the comment and welcome to the channel! Yes the Garrett AT Max is an excellent all around detector... definitely my favorite!
What is depth
Do you think At max is good for a beginner
great video
Thanks!
I'm going to purchase a new detector from someone either at pro or at max I will be hunting beaches streams mostly in country areas I'm looking for great depth waterproof or submersible coils i have a pinpointer and lesche i like the headphones idea wondering if there is better headphones out there and volume control I'm watching videos now trying to nail down my choices also is there a smaller search coil for the garrett at max or pro
Thank you for the comment and I really do appreciate the support! The AT MAX or AT Pro is an excellent choice for all around metal detecting... whether it be for coins, jewelry, or relics! Check out our site! www.treasuremtndetectors.com/collections/beach-and-shallow-water/products/garrett-at-max-metal-detector-bundle-free-propointer-at-z-lynk?variant=31619541598313
If I'm in the middle of nowhere and i get any tone, I'll be digging.
Thank you for the comment! I agree with you!
Nice profile picture
I have the at gold, and the max, in my opinion the at gold with the stock coil is a better machine, put a nel tornado coil on it and it's much deeper one too, just a little harder to pin point with it. HH
Mark Iannetta from what I’ve seen that small stock coil pinpoints, can hit deeper in general.
GL&HH
(i posted this above) I was hoping you would test GOLD... I bought a GARRETT AT GOLD 3 years ago to find GOLD NUGGETS... when out in the GOLD fields my AT GOLD will NOT Beep on Gold Nuggets... tested on 1oz vial of small nuggets ZERO Beep... 1/2oz & 1oz Nuggets odd Beep not consistent ??? this year I bought a MINELAB Gold Monster 1000 works better on my test nuggets... thanks ALBERTA CANADA
hi Chris Anderson ... have you found Gold Nuggets with you Garrett AT Gold.... what do you mean by Crap on the Beaches... Thanks
Hi Kelven
First off the claims l have been working on don't have enough large pieces of gold that I have heard of but I use it to check tailing and hunting for what ever the past miners may have dropped (found a couple of stashes a couple of nice gold rings and plenty of coins and other treasures
As for the beaches here. On the dry areas works fantastic but there is so much mineral content including massive amounts of black sand.
Not sure how you are testing your detector if
you can't detect 1oz nugget
I have found rings that weighed only a couple of grams as deep as 8 inches and it screams dig me dig me really loud 🔊
Just so you know most of the places that have known gold are already claimed and without permission they're a big no go
The claims I have been working tend to produce mainly fine gold and on that note I have tried and the signal I get isn't one I would dig. Really junkie sounding but the little jar I found with mostly 3-5 gram nugget and total weight was 3/4 oz
Sounded like I found the lost gold from Fort Knox and was 10 inches down and under tree roots.
Nice video there, fair test 👍
Very nice comparison!!
Do not touch the ground when you are doing the ground balance.
These are the basics of tuning to the ground
Thank you for the comment and I appreciate your support!
Top, muito bom o video
However the MAX does have some nice features with the backlight and built in z-lynk.
great vid m8y thanks , max yessss
enjoyed the video thumbs up
I have the at max and just learning 2 days now. Zee back is so effin pissed at me
Yes the AT MAX is an Excellent all around detector... definitely one of my favorites!
Those Locusts down there are loud lol
Lol… yes they are and thank you for watching!
Where's the test on finding gold at depth? One can't rule out the AT Gold without doing such a test!
Thank you for the comment! You are exactly right.... I didnt have any gold at the time but I bet the AT GOLD would have outperformed both machines on that test. The AT GOLD is hard to beat!
I was hoping you would test GOLD...
I gold hunt in British Columbia CANADA and Nevada USA
you did not turn the auto off on the at max .lets do it write ok .
Lets do it write...lmao!
Garrett AT Gold is the best in my opion, not the Garrett AT Max.
After a few a years of using the MAX and Gold now... I would have to agree with you... I really like that AT GOLD!
Good vid👍

Very Nice video👍👍👍👍
Why would you move it so fast!?!?
Thank you for the comment! Just doing a variety of swings... sometimes slow and sometimes fast to see if it makes a difference.
it would off been better on all metal mode
Really the name is on the control housing stickers for basically it's best detectors at least they could engrave it or inlay it or just paint it on man how cheap can you get I know it's nit-picky but I have a Garrett 300 it has a sticker on it when I buy at 8 $900 detector I don't want to sticker I want the name painted engraved or inlaid
Thank you for the comment and I really do appreciate the support! Yes I agree with you... that would be nice!
Çok fazla konuşup laf kalabalığı yapmak yerine az konuşup direkt test yapsan daha faydalı olur😉
why the irritating background noise???
LOL.. Thank you for the comment! There was A LOT of bugs making noises in those woods that day!
at max vrs mxsport
Treasure Mountain Metal Detectors please 😁
Yes please white's mx sport vs AT MAX
The AT Gold is as good or better than the Max Sorry!
Second one of these where they compare all three that I have watched. I'll take the Gold model.
I have both, and with better depth, bigger numbers, backlit screen and Z- link, adjustable volume, not hardly...
I totally agree, I had the Max. Any detector at 6-8 " is going to have VDI scrambled but Max did it at 6" in my soil all the time.
Why call these machines all terrain when they are clearly not what a ripoff
Thank you for the reply john metrac. When Garrett refers to these machines as all terrain they are meaning that you can hunt with them in any conditions... like dirt, rain, underwater, snow, etc..... Please feel free to contact me anytime and thanks for watching!
Max is horrible . VDI all over the map and so noisy wanted to wrap it around a tree. Even after 2x going back to garret it still would not shut up. Sold it at a huge loss. AT pro far more reliable, nvr used a Gold.
Thank you for the comment! Yes that AT Pro is hard to beat! More Videos Coming Soon!
@@Team.Huffman.Fishing I love your video test and it looks like the Gold is better than the pro so I will be looking into one of those soon I think the Max just needed more tweaking before it's release.
@@linr2870 Thank you for the comment! Yes that AT Gold is hard to beat! I have found a lot of good things with that detector throughout the years! The AT Gold is very stable and gets excellent depth!
Saya tidak mengerti bahasanya 😭

Not of any use only for kids no depth nothing

Laik👍
Thank you for the comment and I really do appreciate the support!
Awfully unpleasant sound. I had AT Pro, 2 times broke. gladly got rid of him. The instruments of the firm Garrett unfortunately go from distance. I have homemade devices that work much better.
Great video
