Good looking ring. Little more bulky than I prefer but nice non the less. I will have to say the scenery at the new range is quite nice. The only time you got that at Malta is early spring. Very lush looking with very fine trees! Have a good day my friend!
Thumb rings are a tricky thing for me. The fit really has to be near perfect. I see lots of people gluing a patch of leather inside a metal or horn thumb ring in order to get a more comfy fit. Something I will try soon. I got hold of some different leather scraps to try...
Same. Most of the rings i bought i am not using because i am very picky plus i want to shoot same way every time without adjusting myself to the ring... i was using only one for years and it was turkish ring from custom thumb rings. But let me tell you i got this one right after seeing this video and holy macaroni i love it. As long as you will get the right fit you will love this thing. Give it a "shot" lol.
Most of my bows are 50# and finding a right ring is always hard for me... i bought many rings you reviewed on this channel and i learned that i can't do shallow hook ones. I just can't 🤣. I accidentally fired few times with those and once it knocked the arrow off the string being so bulky and i dry fired... almost crapped my pants when that happened hah. My favorite one is turkish from custom thumb rings and love shooting with it but yea it messes up my thumb on both sides when i shoot a lot... i might try this one, it looks very similar to custom thumb rings one... Update, I bought this ring and absolutely love it. It is perfect for heavier poundage i feel ZERO pressure on my thumb. Release is jazz smooth, i swear this is the best ring i ever had. The only complaint i have is that it stains my finger blue so the silver compound is questionable a little but o well i used clear nail polish and painted the inside. So far so good, best shooting experience 🏆
I have the lantern and the CTR Turkish ring. The lantern isn’t dished out as much on the thumb side, for me it makes the spot where the string sits much lower on my thumb giving it a different feel. I also find the lantern puts a little more pressure on the sides of my thumb than the Turkish. I love them both, the experience of each of them is a little different
@@colinmatthews7442 I just bought the one in this video so we will see how that will go... but yea i will definitely look up the one you are talking about it sounds interesting, thanks for sharing this info!
For me, the best thumb ring is the shallow hook painless ring by Alibow. Has a groove for the string which makes it easier and more comfortable to use. The Korean war bow by Lukasz is one of the best bows one can get. If I were allowed to have just one bow and not 20+, this most probably would be it.
I've got one of those. It's my go-to backup. I bought it many years ago from some no-name archery supplier on Amazon, and didn't realize what I had until I paid attention to the logo on the inside years later. It's a great ring.
How to prevent string from rolling when using a thumb ring with this model? Rolling string will hurt the finger, as if not using it at all. Or is it because we are using it wrong?
yay the lantern, its really one of my favorite ring something about the difference between metal and plastic versions is that the metal one i got is a little wider on the outside, so it feels a little different when drawing a short bow. enjoy the ring!
The weight and material changes the sharpness of the shocks you feel in the thumb from the release. You certainly feel the difference between a light plastic thumb ring and a heavier metal one...
As usual I agree with everything you said 🤷🏻♂️. I did have a bit of sanding to get mine to fit perfect for me but everyone has a unique thumb. Throwing it would work well too😂
Hi, very I interesting, just wondering if you still like the leather Turkish thumb ring for lighter bows? Thanks for sharing! Looking forward to your next video. Really liked your reviews on the mini and tiny bows! 😁👍
Vermil Lantern vs Vermil Victory Master Armin? I remember you did a comparison of all the Vermils a while back and you liked the Victory the most and the Lotus the least. Albeit plastic. But how would you compare the Lantern to the Victory? I have a Silver Victory based on your review and I love it. What’s your take on the two?
The Silver Plus Rings are not Silver but a composition. Their silver rings cost double, about eighty $. Thanks for the test, I will buy one. I`ve already waited for somebody testing the new ring. By the way: the Silver Plus material does not oxidate, like real silver or brass or bronze and it ´s surface is very smooth too-
@@ajaxthe87 i had the standard before i lost it. Then ordered 2 more one for heavy weights and standard. However the standard i originally had was fine with heavy weights as well. No problems whatsoever
@@Mizaan_Archery yea im sure standard would work. But if he makes a heavy. And it doesnt look too much thicker from pictures. Better safe than sorry. But good to know! Ill prolly still buy the heavy just because
Hehe, I never thought about using thumb rings as self-defense weapon before 😄 There's always something to learn 👍

I love your new place

Best thumb ring for me so far.
Nice looking ring. Good to see your getting settled in
Awesome looking ring
Beautiful ring, nice and shiny! I like shiny.
Thank Armin.
I have one I got after seeing your other review on Vermil. Love it.
Welcome back

That bow is beautiful.
Of all thumbrings I have, the one I like the most is the Turkish ivory by Vermil, Love it!!!
I have one in silver+. Feels super solid
at 56 lb. No pain.

Cool! Nice alternative in case my horn ring should break 😁👍

Good video
I have it in bronze, I love it!
It’s too bad they don’t make larger sizes, I can’t get this one on anymore when my thumb is big.
You should review that backstop net, next!
Armin I am impressed with the product, however, what about the size, we all have different requirements.
What do you suggest?

Interesting ring, I would prefer Bronze, but that''s just a matter of taste I guess.
Armin, how about comparing it to the thumb ring from Bamboo Archery? What are some of their advantages and disadvantages?
why the move from malta?
Wow, could be even platinum or titan! Nice business!)
You prefer victory or this?
I take it you and I have the victory and would like to know for shots and giggles🍻
Как всегда интересное видео.
You don’t consider thumbrings made of buffalo horn a good option for heavier draw weight bows?
I shoot one with Kaya BlackCat (#72@32") and I am happy with it. But above 80 pounds I would go for metal.
Horn thumb rings are fine for heavier bows. Im shooting 120 lbs with a horn thumb ring from Bamboo archery no problem.
Bamboo archery has a standard and heavy version. Heavy is thicker
