I so love making these videos because I am so passionate about supporting little ones in expressing themselves. I am so amazed by how much language young children can use. I'd love to know if you have any other language activity ideas too! ❤️

Aww. How sweet! I love the Hidden Gem too. I am currently pregnant with twins so there's no new content for the time being here. Hoping to get back up with videos soon! 😂

@@BairnandaBackpack wow twins! The hidden gem mum had triplets naturally. Her content slowed down since they arrived. 🤣

Thank you! These are such wonderful ideas. Simple in execution but really so brilliant for developing language, and one’s I wouldn’t have thought of before. Very meaningful to our little family. Hope you are doing well and have an opportunity to resume making videos!

Oooh, I should get out some of our old photo albums....and I should make some photo albums of things that have happened since the boys were born. (a lockdown 2020 album? lol!) You know that I am ALL about the books for language development. Cyrus loves books, he always wants to read with us. Glenn is less of a fan of books but has recently been asking for books every time he drinks his cup of milk, and I've been making the most of that time! Also, he's usually running around and having adventures around the room while I read to Cyrus. We were recently doing an activity with smelling different spices, he thought it was so fun!

Thanks for your comment Rachel and glad it gave a few ideas. My mum has actually been making a lockdown photo album for Ben. 😂 So funny as absolutely nothing exciting has happened. ❤️

There are these books called Wimmelbuch in German, they are filled with different pictures and little to no text to them, so great for any/multiple language usage but its also nice for language development since you can describe the action happening and not only name the object as in a typical picture book. And of course you can ask your child open questions and see where their imagination takes them.
We raise our daughter multilingually and I found the ideas in the video quite interesting. Like your natural approach to language acquisition and child raising in general.
I've just recently stumbled upon your channel and you put out really great content, thank you for creating it!

Aww, thank you for your lovely comment Maria. What languages is your daughter growing up with? Yes! We love Wimmelbücher (I just recently learned that German word - haha) and you are 100% right that they are amazing for chatting through what you see and for little ones to make their own stories about what's happening. Thanks for your amazing suggestion and for following along.

Fantastic! Thank you! We are enjoying acting out Ali Baba abd The Forty Thieves at the moment. We also are massively into reading, but Rory also loves two beautiful wee animations that are fab for role-play- Mimi and the Mountain Dragon (prime) and Lost and Found about a boy and a penguin-both available as books too.
Looking forward to seeing your Easter ideas
