    Well produced video, I enjoyed it. I'm getting a 350 soon and I'm used to doing my own oil changes but without a lift this seems like it will be a bit of a pain operating on my back, under jack-stands in tight quarters taking off and replacing the underbody covers. I'll have to weigh the pro-price vs my sweat and time. Thanks.

      Yea it might be little worse doing on your back but honestly it’s not that bad … sure do your research see how much it will coast to do at auto shop place Vs diy see what works better for you

      No. It's easy I have a 2019 es350. Invest in a set of Plastic ramps from PEP Boy's.
      Cock the rear tire.........plenty of room.

    This is a wonderful vehicle, if properly maintained...one of the best engines that Toyota ever produced.😊😊

    I was able to do this with the passenger side on a jack stand. I had some pretty good access under the car. One thing to note it's way less mess to just unscrew the filter housing till it starts dripping then just let the rest of the oil drip out till it stops then unscrew the housing the rest of the way off. I do all my oil filters like that when I change them.

    • @AutomotiveDysfunction
      @AutomotiveDysfunction  ปีที่แล้ว

      yes you can do it that way .. I don't have patience for that to wait.. also you are adding another thing that can leak oil through that drain ..

    I know with the previous style oil filters you were able to go ahead and fill the filter itself with oil before putting it on. Can you do the same thing with this type of filter? And thank you so much for the great video!!

    • @AutomotiveDysfunction
      @AutomotiveDysfunction  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is no need for that … I don’t think you can do that on this type of oil filter housings ,, maybe you can fill just a little bit tho

    What is that metal tab shown at time stamp 4:12 that touches the filter housing at the 1 o'clock position? It looks like it applies light friction to the housing and maybe keeps it from accidentally spinning loose? It doesn't really look like it does much.

    • @AutomotiveDysfunction
      @AutomotiveDysfunction  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      the bottom part of oil filter that's where goes other one,,, that's the one for draining oil before you unscrew oil filter...but I never drain it I just take it off as you can see in video...no need to worry about it if you do the same as I do in video
