Can you explain/show the differences between a regular drill and an impact drill? Also a how to use a small circular saw. Thanks. Just discovered your channel. Really enjoying it 😊
Hey Ken, can I trouble you with a question? I'm going to get a friend who is a new homeowner a drill. She's not one for a lot of diy projects, but it occurs to me that a drill, at least, will come in handy for her at some point. I must admit, though, that I'm not sure of what drill would be the best choice. Can you advise? Or, maybe a drill and impact driver. Thanks in advance, and thanks for this video. I have all those tools and more. What I need is a shop.
Hi Betty, I definitely wouldn’t go out an buy the most expensive drill as it doesn’t sound like it will get used on a daily basis. I’d probably look for either a sale on a lower end Dewalt or even a Ryobi product because they are more cost effective and their products have come a long way. Maybe I should do a video on a good cost effective homeowner drill?
@@Kenclongdiy First, thanks for the reply. Ryobi is well represented at my house, so I thought of that. If I were a contractor I’m sure I would have laid out more money in tools, but Ryobi has served me very well here. It was a money decision, though, and I don’t want that to be a factor in a gift. Dewalt was a consideration too, and that’s a good name. Since you also mentioned it, maybe I’ll run with that. I’m sure any video you make will be a winner. I don’t have any content at all, so any video I make will be a miracle. lol
