We all love Bruce but the first two albums with Paul Di anno had something special... it was a different band, a different type of music and a different era. Probably only over 50 people may understand what i mean. Thank you Paul ❤
Nah, heard that all my life. Most Maiden fans in my time agreed on that. Bruce is god, Paul is legend. We listened to the first albums (and all others) all the time.
@@tilenjurca7044 It ain't just words bro, for you it might be but for us all this is a touching moment, a legend is gone but his legacy lives on, beautiful moment indeed.
Paul was a prophet; "Oh well, wherever, wherever you are Iron Maiden's gonna get you, no matter how far" certainly got me still about 50 years ago lol. RIP Pauly!!!
This got me in tears, this is why I love these guys so much. I appreciate everything they do and honored Paul well. I knew they were going to mention him and was waiting. Thank you for sharing this moment ❤️
@@jeffalbillar7625 I’m still crying 😅 My nose is still stuffy from crying for a while. If it’s anything with maiden, I’ll be emotional as heck. I love them so much and helped me through my life for 20 years (turned 20 on October 1st this year). I have to thank my dad for playing their songs when I was little. Never thought that this would happen so soon. Again RIP Paul ❤️
Truly awesome, Paul and Bruce are both my favourite singers, love the first Maiden albums with Paul on vocals, he had a unique style and he had that Raw energy both on stage or in the studio, seeing them paying a tribute to Paul, was truly amazing to be very honest. It still devastates me that Paul is no longer with us, but his Legacy will be eternal, thank you for everything, Paul... R.I.P 🙏
I'm just so sad. Heard about it yesterday. Cried my heart out. Paul got me into Maiden with his beautiful voice. Such a loss. 66 is nothing today. He went too young. Thanks for posting this. You can see Bruce's words were heartfelt. 😢
In tears... RIP Paul! Just like you said it brotha! Iron Maiden original, the best ever! Dedicated to you today and always! May you be reunited and gigging up there with brother Clive!
Running Free and Iron Maiden were two of the first Maiden songs my older brother played me when introducing me to their music. Paul's voice was an important part of them being such catchy songs that got stuck in my head so easily. Class tribute from Bruce, really glad I got to see a video of this, thank you!
RIP Paul DI'Anno you were one of my first show back in 1980 as a teenage guitar player and got to see you a couple more times after that will never forget it. Amazing times and amazing music. God bless.
I didn’t know who Iron Maiden was until I saw them on MTV. I immediately went out and bought “Killers”. The first Maiden song I learned on guitar was “Wrathchild”. I still love those first two albums!❤️🤘I have seen Maiden eleven times in four different states and I’m planning on seeing them a twelfth time on this tour.
Shits I just REALIZED the Passin' Of Paul gonna watch some 80'81 Paul era shows just after midnight ALASKA TIME ZONE first song gonna hit up The Murders in the Rue Morgue RIP Di'Anno
i have seen paul on his killers tour 1994/95 what a nice humble bloke ! i talked to him/drank a beer with him for like 5 min got some signatures from him and he was a awesome super nice guy! wrong song to tribute him!
Lovely tribute by Bruce. I think that they had been planning to work together. Such a shame. I love both the Old Maiden songs. As well as the newer music. RIP Paul. Thank you for all the great music.
Great tribute to the memory of the original Iron Maiden singer, Paul Di' Anno. The feeling of gratitude and respect was truly felt in Bruce's words as well as in the performance of such a beautiful song. Now Paul will remain forever in our hearts as a banner of strength, resilience and passion. Thank you so much boss for doing what you did 🙏 *Always keep the fire in your hearts and never let the music die. Paul Di'Anno*
It is sad to think that eventually we will all experience losses like this as these bands which we hold so dear.. and their members.. age and pass on. I realize it makes room for new talents to arise.. but the loss of what they could do going forward .. and the loss of what they could enjoy in life as reward for their hard work.. is saddening. These bands deserve to enjoy everything life has to offer because of the joy and entertainment they have brought to the world. I hope you enjoyed yours, Paul. RIP and rock the afterlife.
Watching this with tears in my eyes. Still remembering when Deep Purple performed "above and beyond" in Birmingham in 2013 with Jon Lord 's images in the background. I'm 37,quite young fore many of the se bands but i grew up with them, as a musician and as a person, their music always supported me. Time Is going, some of them already sadly passed away and every time a part of me dies with them Bye Paul

Nice for Bruce to say about Paul Di annio I remember the day or night that when iron maiden had Paul and his vocals was good his voice is only on the iron maiden iron maiden album I eventually got that album sad to see Paul go at such a young age I found out he's a few years older than me and it was a great night in the Dunstable arena RIP Paul so sad to go keep on singing.😮😊
This was a class act. Especially considering some of the dirt Dianno used to say about the band. I'm sure Paul had many regrets over his past behaviors towards the end. I hope you RIP DIANNO
exactly why Maiden are light years cooler than the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame
