Thank you ever so much for the mention. It looks as though you like it as much as I do mine. As you say, worth every penny. We also found it very versatile for all sorts of cooking. Look forward to seeing it feature in a few more food vlogs 👍
I Like Watching This Video With You ---along with A Couple I just Saw on TH-cam Using Teppanyaki Electric Grill. They had just bought one and were trying it out too !!!! I Just bought A Loeime Electric Teppanayaki Table Top Griddle Grill for grilling inside 2 weeks ago on ebay. I'm finally using it tonight.Bought I needed more information on how to start using it, the instructions I have do not clarify the temperature instructions with the temperature dial. I'm so glad to find 2 Great TH-cam Sites on Using A Teppanyaki Grill. Thank You Susan In the U.S.A.
Thanks Susan, we absolutely love ours and use it most nights for cooking our evening meal when away. You can do almost anything on it, I am waiting to experiment with some pancakes next. Enjoy your cooking 🧑🍳 Karina
I bought one for 20 quid on amazon and its brilliant, use it all the time in the awning, great for doing bacon and eggs in the morning but also does loads of other stuff. When I'm done cooking I turn it off and put a square of folded up tissue paper in the drip tray to soak up the bulk of the oil.
Hi guys - thanks for spending £31 of our money for us 😜. We like the look of the Swiss Lux tappinyake so much we’re popping to Highbridge Caravans tomorrow to get one to take away with us to the Gower 🏴 at the weekend 👍🏻👍🏻. Thanks for sharing xxx
Hi Kaz and Pete, we popped there to get ours and then went to Street to Clark’s Village today so didn’t get to see you. We are planning a trip to Warren Farm in June for a few nights so could see you there. This grill seems really good. Enjoy the Gower, hopefully the weather will pick up 😊👍 Karina and Jules
Hi, we've been converts to Teppanyaki cooking for the last couple of years. They are fantastic at cooking steaks too and Omelettes are almost instant! We bought one for our relations and they are big fans too - they've not used their Cadac since! We've never had to increase the temperature above 2 1/2. One tip for cleaning - scrape off the excess food and oil with a plastic or wooden spatula while it's still hot as this makes it much easier to clean. It then just needs a quick wipe and you're done.
Good blog guys... Honestly guys the only thing good about the typaki is it’s easy to clean.. I made the mistake of replacing my cadac with this.. but now got rid of the typaki and bought another cadac.. the thing is u can’t beat the constant heat of gas where electric cuts in and out ... one minute the bacon is sizzling then next thing it ain’t.. it wasn’t my best purchase lol
Hi Karina. That's the exact same as we bought which we got for the same reasons you've mentioned. We love ours. It's perfect. What we do is just have some kitchen roll handy and wipe off the excess oil as things are cooking.
Had ours for over three years, perfect for fry up breakfasts whilst caravanning. Loved ours that much I bought my in-laws one too. The XXL gives you a lot more cooking area for not much more money though if there are more than two of you 👍
We've have something similar but it's a large round hot plate with a glass lid ... paid £35 for it and it's done everything we would of done on a Cadac. Good review...
Cracking bit of kit! We have an old one but are going to get a new one. That brekkie Jules was cooking looked tasty, me and him together at the breakfast table is lethal 🤣 nice one guys 👍
Love our Teppanyaki. It even gets used at home sometimes too for steaks, for the price, they're a no brainer 😀 Cheers for this one folks and look forward to the next 👍
I have a smokeless infrared grill. The oil will drip down to a tray at the bottom which makes easy cleaning. Love it. However I’m not sure whether it’s suitable for camping even though it isn’t big.
We chatted yesterday, I bought one having seen my friend using his, the Cadac will now be in the garage unused except for wild camping, great review, thanks. Another useful item is the electric skillet in Asda for £13, can cook stew, pasta curries etc in it.
Hi Guys, Another great video. We bought the exact same last year and its turned out to be a great choice. Getting it level is the key to success. As far as cleaning is concerned we just wipe clean with kitchen roll. Easier if you do it before its completely cool.
Evening Karina. We’ve had one for about 12 months and it’s absolutely brilliant and cook everything on it and cook.s steak brilliantly and find we hardly use our gas.
I haven’t seen one in person..yet..but from what I have read up on and on paper I would be tempted by this over the Isonzo. You would lose the feeling of open plan that you get in the Isonzo. I know lots of orders have already been placed for the Tiber.
Hello Harry and Jenny, it was lovely to chat to you yesterday 😊 Jules has already started looking for the egg rings! Hopefully see you again in the future, Karina and Jules
Thanks Brian, same issue with a Cadac we have found. A good wind and the gas flame doesn’t stand up very well. I am hoping this will fair better in the wind so will check it out when we get the right weather. Have a lovely week, Karina 😊
Hi Helen and Martin, this is much lighter and nice to store. We will use our Cadac when not on EHU but the new grill will be getting lots of use now. Glad you are enjoying your trip 😊 Karina and Jules
Sensible question. You mention tipping from the corner drain. Would you use this outside or in, or under canopy or all? Big question........ would you tip cooking oil in the van sink? is this good for the grey tank? I appreciate I'm asking lots of questions but I'm an inquisitive guy and I really want to know what I am doing before I do it. I did see gas a camping BBQ that had a hot plate similar to this, would this be a better alternative. Really interested in this item, seems easier that getting the gas BBQ out every morning.... I like my full English. PS, a comment you made earlier, were you in the medical profession or the law enforcement profession? You don't have to answer that. Hope I'm not engaging too much and annoying you, it's just the way I am.
You can use an electric grill inside and out, not a gas bbq though due to carbon monoxide. You shouldnt tip fat down the sink, I wipe it up and dispose of it. The electric grill is easier to whip out and use but the Cadac is good if you want to cook more food as it has a bigger cooking surface 😊👍
Nice vid. Well demonstrated. Loved the throw away line where you said you paid for it. Made me chuckle. Looks a good bit of kit. 1800w is still quite hefty in the grand scheme of things for sites offering 10/16w electricity. Have you run it off an inverter at all yet? All the best from Mal, Dave and Sally the lab The SilvertopMotorhomers
Thank you Dave and Sally, yes we do buy things like everyone else, we are pleased with it. We said on a 10A supply site you would have to be careful but our friend had no issues with his on a 16A. We don’t have an inverter on this Motorhome and the cadac would have to come out if we were off grid. You can buy an 800 and 1500w model that’s slightly smaller if you wanted less drain on the power. Roll on the better weather now. Have a nice week, Karina and Jules
We had it on our Isabella lightweight table and there was no sign of heat damage. I didn’t notice any heat underneath when cleaning it after cooking. I will check next time I use it but it seems safe to put on a camping table. Karina
Was thinking about this and it looks great, but wondering why you wouldn't get an electric induction hob and use a replaceable frying pan. You can replace your non stick surface without replacing everything else.
I find this really easy..I get it out of the box and plug it in then put it away. Its much longer than a frying pan too and for £30 it has been one of our best buys. 😊 Karina
Why would you need any BBQ what a bargain i've been thinking about getting something like this, you pay for electricity on your pitch so. Great video Karina thanks Joules i'll be around for breakfast thanks. Take care both xx
I was looking for something like this but I thought the wattage on this was too high for most sites I’m a beginner to caravanning and I get confused with watts and volts any advice would be appreciated
Hi Linda, I have seen a 1500w too. This 1800 uses 4A it says on the information. That will still give you plenty of supply for other electric appliances but if you were to have a your heating and microwave on at the same time you would be at the limit of most sites. This device is for camping and caravanning so shouldn’t cause many issues. 😊 Karina

All these tests make me laugh, all the hot plates are the same with different names on them and nobody seems how to use them properly or get the timing right.
I really don't get it. I bought one, and it was constantly going on and then off - it was impossible to keep a constant temperature. Chipolatas were burned on the outside and undercooked in the middle. 0/10 and will be going in the bin when we get home. Over hyped rubbish.
