When I hear this song, my feet start hitting imaginary arrows on the floor.
Same the part where it slows down I went left foot doooooown right foot doooooown
this song brings me nostalgia, I can see my mom playing this game every night, I miss her and those kind of things makes me feel alive.
We broke pads doing this song. Memories...
This was the song of duels. Never mind your Max 300. Anytime there was a question of who was the best, this was ALWAYS, the song to compete in. And we always gripped an imaginary scabbard poised for strike as we played. To break this stance is to forfeit. The only exception was 0:36 you still had to hold the scabbard flipped in drawing position, but you were free to use your drawing hand to grip imaginary reins.
We were so fucking lame, but we were fucking awesome.
That sounds like the coolest shit ever and I so would've been down to do that even now
Haven’t heard this song in over a decade but had a visceral reaction to the end bc I immediately remembered how many combos I dropped bc of my own carelessness
Ah yes, Tsugaru. A very fun step chart and definitely lives up to the its 9-Footer ranking. The beginning is quite fun and the gallops definitely threw people off due to those very tricky and hardly seen 1/32nd beats put in there between the normal gallops. Even know that they alternated for a time you still had to remember to go fast enough to nail them, and then there was that trick part between the two jumps where you had to nail the 1-2-3 bit. Yup, definitely tough but extremely fun.
I'd give anything to play DDR again, there's not a single DDR machine anywhere near where I live. I haven't played since 2018, I might be 33 and a little broken down but my pride says I can still play as good as I did long ago.
Lmao yea this seems very short when you're not frantically trying to tap the arrows....when you're actually playing it feels like a minute and a half of pure HELL XD
@@kaimanodoburaco5161 it’s a 9 foot ranking of 10 on hardest difficulty. You can just admit you had it on standard. :P
@@mochabearry at that time maybe, but it's really an easy 9 footer, just accept it
The shamisen here is really top notch. If you like this Japanese genre, check out the Yoshida Brothers
Strangely, I found the Yoshida brothers while looking for this exact song 😂 they're frickin awesome
love the gallop
This is the single song that I learned to not fumble and miss arrows in that rhythm. It was a moment of sudden realization.
I remember this song SO VIVIDLY...i can see my father STILL dancing his way to the perfect score like the competitive mad man he is.
Can still remember every single arrow.
This was my first song i ever completed on expert mode :) Once you got the gallop down, it was easy
Before this, I had no idea that hardcore shamisen music could be a thing.
Naoki Maeda VS Naoki Maeda
Paul Hitchens lol
he would use a similar alias “DE-JAVU” for ddr x3 vs 2nd mix though in trip machine evolution
When you speedrun sekiro
i remember that galloping part almost by memory. haha. same with that and the track " so deep" lol
Even today, 20 some odd years later, this song immediately brings me back. My brother and I would play this one song SO MUCH.
this song was so dope I always dumbed out on the gallops on heavy and went into auto pilot one of my fav DDR songs of all time
Homie: “ay no one’s done a sekiro speedrun yet”
Me:
I hope my body can take it.
Did anyone else (if you ever played on light mode) jump reaaaaaallly slow
+Josh Cruz I'm sorry I can't hear you, the nostalgia of me having fun is too loud over here.
Loved doing the "horse step" with my hands on my hips. Looked stupid AF.
yes this song feels like hell after like 3 beers
0:59 - 1:06 So fucking many chills my spine froze...........
I agree it's the best part but it will make you focus like your getting stronger or something.
I remember it was winterbreak 2004 and i challenged my friend when we were 12 years old to beat this song only using his right foot. He fucking did it and it was the funniest shit I had ever seen (his other foot had to stay planted in the middle of the pad).
I had this song in my head the whole time I was walking around Nara, the ancient capital of Japan.
After 17 years i found this song!! Still amazing af
Should have renamed the song as "Dance of The Haughty Hime" because that's what it sounds like lol. I can picture a Japanese princess wearing her provocative kimono while holding two fans dancing lively to the beat.
Absolutely incredible piece. Love this so much back in the day and made videos using it as background music. This is legendary!
0:36 Alright every...Lets all do it at the same time...GAALLLOOOOOOPPPP!
The best DDR song of any game hands down.
i was a chubby kid at the arcade that played this and only this nonstop back in the day and was pretty decent
I can feel the samurai fighting each other
One of my favorite songs in the game.
I miss playing the Ddr as a kid me and my brothers would dance alot were my dad used to work at. so we bowled and play ddr. my older brother was way better then us. Good times.
Oh my god my feet remember the gallops.
斬新でかっこいい!
Dem gallops!
All perfect then.. great on the BPM change with holds @ end -_- Still have a polaroid of my first AAA on this song.
Was my favorite song back when I played DDR Extreme 2.
Currently playing it on StepMania and having a blast with it. :P
THIS IS WHY I EVEN STARTED LOOKING FOR DDR SONGS TO BEGIN WITH!!! Ahhhh!!! 🕺🏽🕺🏽🕺🏽🕺🏽🕺🏽
Back in the day when I used to kill this song on DDR
Love this song, miss the horse step for this song! Love it! Take me back please.. ❤
My first song in DDR, and the one I trained on to work my way up to Break Down's BPM. Ah...memories...
When Princess Peach transformed into a ninja in Princess Peach Showtime
Oh man what a throwback! This song was fucking awesome and got so much playtime when I had Extreme.
I hope my body can take this...
I came here for the song, but stayed for the nostalgia in the comments
RevenG always has the best songs on DDR IMO
Amo la parte de los saltitos!!! ♥ Siempre que encuentro una DDR tengo que jugarla *-*
Shit, my muscle memory is coming back lmfao
This and whistle song were my jams on max 3
One of the few DDR songs I could do at medium or hard level back in the day simply cause I loved it so much.
DDR 2 …my life on the line.. this was the banger
The muscles in my legs are cramping and aching just listening to this.
The steps for this song on heavy mode are absolute legendary.
WOW Que fantastica esta esta musica!!!!!!!
O mygosh. The Arcade in times Square on Broadway. ❤️
Ultrakill with Shadow Fight combined
This brings back MEMORIES ya heard me?! 👌🏾🙌🏾
THAT BREAKDOWN WAS ALWAYS THE SICKEST PART SO FUN TO DANCE ON
this song would go great with a Ninja-like endurance mini game...
this is one of the first songs I ever AAA'd back when I used to play DDR excessively
I HAVE LOVE! Seriously, this makes me want to buy a shamisen. They're not actually THAT expensive on eBay.
Esto es música para mis oídos.. excelente
sooo many years of frustration!!!! lol still loved every second of ddr lol
Always saw the guy on the right as Link. I still do.
My aunt and uncle had multiple DDR pads, arcade-style and generic matted, and I remember them having this song on their PS2 DDR game. This was one of the only 2 songs I loved to play on it, the other being 'In The Navy.'
To this day, I have not found a single DDR machine with this song on it after just shy of 20 years. And with that, I have not cared to play it since.... Probably for the better, since I have a severely damaged leg now, but still...
I would gladly fuck my leg up for a month or few JUST to play this song again on max difficulty. It's been too long, and I genuinely miss it.
I KNOW it's on DDR Extreme machines. Because that is the machine I used to break myself trying to keep up with the song on, back in he day.
I recently found out that I have arthritis is both my knees. It was most likely from all the DDR I played growing up. Shouldn't have made fun of the bar-huggers in the arcade. They probably have functioning knees.
samurai ATTACK NOW NOW I SAY STOP LISTENING TO THIS FUNKY BEAT AND THE EPIC SPEED AT THE END AT 1:00 ugh
I used to be able to double-A this on heavy. For some added flare, I'd hit the half-skip steps Riverdance style with my hands on my hips. That was roughly eighteen years ago, the thought of even attempting that feat again gives me chest pains.
I have a friend of 34 years, and she still rocks!
awesome club tune, will be huge club and radio hit, very good dance sound
Awww so many memories of dancing to this EVERY DAY!!!
Anyone else galloping along? No? Just me....oh well
No one is ever too old for DDR
友人と0:36の所に「田吾作ステップ」という名前をつけて、あえてガニマタで踏んでいたのを思い出します。
loved this song back in the day
Love this song all these years later
SO MANY MEMORIES.
ho. lt. FUCK. YOu have NO IDEA how many memories this brings back!!
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!
this reminds me of the ninja pirate level in Castle Crashers
If you all like this then you really ought to look up the Yoshida Brothers. I wouldn't be surprised if they were the ones behind this song.
Heavy mode - 1.5 speed - Arrows (noted)
Yup, I AA'd this song, and you don't know my excitement...
Wow, same here actually, on DDR Ultramix for Xbox. I AA'd Tsugaru seven years ago back in school and still remembered how everyone was chanting me on and how they cheered when they saw the result: AA. Memories...
9 years ago comment, damn were old now. I still remember we had an overnight with band in school, and my friends had me bring in DDR. rhythm based game, we're in band, it made sense. I almost floored everyone except for my girlfriend and one other guy. But I did Tsuguru cause the muscle memory just stayed with me. I gotta bring out the old dance mat and blow the dust off...
This song = memories, right there.
I remember doing martial arts poses while dancing easy mode to this...
I always sucked at this game :P
Ahhhhhhhhh, my feet are moving and I have no dance pad!!!
This song taught me the meaning of the word, "Skips".
Most favorite song to play on DDR.
Shamisen OP
this was my favorite song on ddr
Those "weapons" are called "shamisen". Very effective. Requires a lot of skill.
GETTING SENTIMENTAL?
I'm old and out of shape with injuries and I miss sweating my ass off and building up my calves playing this game with these songs.
This song is one of those things that activate your muscle memory of the game lol, suddenly you see the arrows again
God I hate that you’re right
God, I can hear bits oh Philly Nice
especially the horse gallaping section
@@treebush This song taught me how to hit those notes! Im so glad you said this!
Are you from Italy, Jake Coppola?
