Good interview Dave. Neuheisel has always been one of my favorites, going back to his QB days at UCLA. He’s a great analyst but I still can’t believe he was 2-0 versus the Vols while he was coaching at UCLA.
Rick Neuheisel, class character from the get go, and though he does an excellent commentary for each game, the college game would benefit from having him on the sidelines coaching again.
I really respect Rick. Brilliant mind. I loved watching his teams back in the day. Hated he lost the job at UCLA. I am diehard vols fan but have always liked him. Hard to believe that stupid "gambling" issue still plagues his name. Really like him and the pony on sirius😂.
At Washington he lied about talking with 49ers and players being in trouble with the law and at 3 progams Colorado. Washington and UCLA won in first year then tanks

Ok so what? Tennessee went 7-6 the season before 4-4 in the SEC, 11-2 is a vast improvement from the previous season for a second year coach, I'm a Vols fan and I don't agree with Rick, Tennessee wasn't beating Georgia in a rematch without Hendon Hooker.
Every VOL fan said they would be happy with 8-4 going into the 22 season as long as they were competitive in the games they lost. They went 11-2 beat 3 of the 4 last National Champs and shit the bed against SC and the repeat National Champs. Yes, GA and SC beat the hell out of them. Yes, Hooker was in the game for Ga...who only scored 3 points in the second half on a terrible defensive unit. And yes, Hooker was in the SC game well after that game was out of hand. Still, for where Tennessee has been for the past SEVERAL years, you take that and smile in year 2. That season has done great things for recruiting. The NCAA investigations are over, and that cloud has lifted now as well. Tennessee's recruiting is nowhere close to GA or Alabama, nor has it been in 20 years. Team depth is still a huge problem. Most of the O line is gone after this year. There are still holes all over that secondary that may or may not have been addressed with true freshman and a transfer. Who knows. Point is, Tennessee has a coaching staff the fans like, the players like, and the recruits like. They may go 8-4 or 9-3 this year, could be worse could be better. Even GA had a few close calls last year with teams that didn't even deserve to be on the same field as them. This is the SEC, talkin season is nearly over! Everyone is undefeated right now. Enjoy it while you can.
