I know Kenan's line about "lawyers getting involved with the clog because it's a historic building" was a joke, but this actually happened at a government building I used to work in. There was a severe clog in the pipes coming from the 3rd floor bathroom that the plumbers couldn't unclog with the normal methods, so the only solution was to locate and replace the entire section of pipe with the clog. But the building was over a hundred years old and the pipe was behind this ornate carved marble wall so the historic building committee had to be consulted on how to fix it. The City engineer also needed to study whether the wall replacement would cause structural damage to the building. The City Attorney got involved because of the liability issues and there was a dispute over which city department would pay for the repairs so the mayor, controller, and city council had to get involved too. They ended up hiring these specialty contractors from out of state to carefully remove the marble wall and put in a temporary support beam so the ceiling above didn't collapse while the pipe work took place. Then they had to shut off water to the entire building while the public works crew replaced the clogged pipe section with a new one. But since the building was so old they didn't know the exact dimensions of the pipe until they got the wall open, so they then had to measure it and order a custom-sized replacement piece. Then the specialty contractors put the marble wall back and re-finished it, but some cracks were discovered later so the city ended up suing the contractor for the damages (they eventually settled). The whole ordeal lasted almost 2 years and cost millions of dollars. All because somebody clogged a fucking toilet LOL.
That story doesn't make any sense. If you're telling what you believe to be the truth then whoever you heard the story from was either mistaken or intentionally embellishing it. There's no such thing as a clogged toilet caused by someone taking a big dump that can't be easily cleared with just a good plunger and someone who knows how to use one properly. And even if we pretend that a plunger wouldn't work, a "snake" would work. And if we pretend that a snake wouldn't work, a Roto-Rooter absolutely would work (which would be drastic overkill for something as trivial as a clogged toilet). And if we pretend that none of those things would work, simply doing nothing would also work, because the obstruction will eventually dissolve in water on its own, within a few days at the most. So if they really did have to replace a section of pipe, it would have been because it rusted through and was leaking. Old drain pipes that toilets sat atop of were made of cast iron, like the one in my mid-19th century house. Modern ones are made of PVC which eliminates the rust problem.

After a walmart employee set up the wet floor sign and broke out the mop, the culprit reappeared in the bathroom to look for his car keys (they fell on the floor in front of the toilet) He asked the guy with the mop to kick his keys over to him. The mopper obliged, amd the guy picked them up, ran them under some sink water and left
