JensPulverFan nah. SNL skits rarely know to end on a high note, before they've killed the joke. It's nice to finally find a joke that leaves you wanting more, rather than looking for ANYTHING else.

Honestly, you're exactly right, every time I see a St Jude's ad talking about how it's free for the parents I get so agitated that all US hospitals aren't like that for all Americans. Perhaps even foreign hospitals if you're in critical condition.

Kumail is great. He is hilarious, Cecily is one of my favorite cast members. "I'm going to donate some of my jeans and jackets to charity, cars for kids" I lost it there hahaha
I know, it's so funny! Also, kids can't drive cars, so SNL picked a perfect sounding charity to be preposterous. :)

I feel like Bill Hader was emblematic of old era game show hosts as a semi-phsychopathic looking, suave sounding middle aged man, and Mikey Day is the new era of game hosts as the cool young guy with little personality.
Very true but to be fair, the current guys have all tried and none could do the game show host personality nearly as well as Bill. I thought Mikey was a little bland too, but that changed with the new 'Cut for Time: Cast List' skit where he does a really great bit as a theater kid - totally worth seeing!

I think it was better this way though, not that it was a perfect ending by any means but the whole fakeout thing would've been too easy to see coming to be that funny of a twist imo.

Kumail’s comedic timing is so good. He’s hilarious!! He needs to host another SNL.
He should have been a cast member on SNL. He auditioned in 2012, but didn't have any recurring characters. I think he did fine on the episode he hosted.

Mikey is severely underrated. He is almost never the main focus, but he really makes the people who are shine.

Everything about this sketch was fantastic. It was well-written, well-acted, wonderful set design, good jingle, and good graphics on the title card.
I remember Madtv did a similar joke

That was one of the funniest SNL skits I’ve seen. Completely dropped my jaw with every turn.
Notice how at first there is a different guy beside the daughter. Then suddenly Pete is sitting next to her.
If they didn't do this, the first time the camera zoomed in on the family would ruin the reveal of Pat's shirt.
I love the robber actor, especially when he played Jackie the Fancy Chocolate Guy. He almost made all of them "break character" when he sang the Barenaked Ladies song but changed the lyrics and made it about chocolate.

Yes, he is funny. My favorite people are the pairs that make each other laugh, like Pete Davidson and Kenan Thompson.
