I admire the heck out of people who can wear light colors (well, anything but dark navy or black) when they travel. I would spill coffee on that gorgeous tailored coat in 5 minutes - but I can do outfits like this in 100% dark colors! Great suggestions!
I find this comment so funny. I mostly wear white trousers and a snow white jumper to travel and recently I had people comment on my bravery lol. I've never gotten a drop of anything on myself. But incase you do, its worth carrying an anti-stain wipe with you.
I wouldn't wear that long structured pale coloured coat in a plane. Inflight, it's most likely to get jammed into the overhead bin. Not ideal. Love the olive bomber jacket though - practical, foldable and you look amazing in it!
Very pretty Audrey....when people traveled in the past they dressed up....our society has dumbed down so much of good, and beauty....you're refreshing Audrey, you're intentional and responsible...thank you.
I always wear my warmest wool coat onto the plane. I keep a plastic grocery bag in the pocket, turn the coat inside out and fold into the bag. No chance of it getting dirty!
I like that you're putting together more dressy outfits for travel. I'm older and remember when people actually cared about dressing nicely when traveling ( I'm thinking more airline travel ) and not just wearing pajamas!
I travel often and in jeans with an elevated top and someone once asked me how do I travel on a plane in jeans. I answered I wear my size. If jeans are uncomfortable its because you are wearing ht wrong size and style.
Then again , travel has progressively gotten worse in the past say 60 years. Smaller seats, less leg room, smaller carry on limitations (some won't even allow backpacks) that people have to dress comfortably and strategically, especially if they are travelling without a suitcase. If others wish to dress up for travel, awesome as well.
This, exactly! Whenever people complain about the state of dress for airline travel, I roll my eyes a little bit. They completely forget that air travel used to be more luxurious--not squished among other passengers like sardines, as it is today. You want people to dress better? Ask airlines to give people more than 6 inches of leg room.
Audrey, I have learned SO very much from you. I have been able to see I mostly purchase neutral colors for my wardrobe and now I am working on all the accessories. I am adding in more shoes, handbags, scarves, and jewelry so all the fun stuff. What I learned from watching all of your different videos is this. Find what you love and give it your own twist. My twist is going to be some fun bags & shoes. Thank you Audrey and I hope your holiday season is going really well. You have created such a purposeful channel and I am constantly learning how to curate my wardrobe. 🙏🏼❤
Beautiful video! It’s disappointing when you see people in the airport who look like they’re wearing pyjamas. Your ideas are stylish but not complicated…..perfect😍 Happy Holidays
I love these tips. I tend to wear my bulkiest outfit even if it looks a little “Audubon Society Chic” because I also like to fit everything into a carry on. I have dubbed it Audubon Society Chic because the outfit is usually field pants, a chunky sweater, and my fattest socks with hiking boots.
Love this! I travel a LOT for both fun and work and I really enjoy packing minimally and finding a balance between comfortable for travel/work days and chic and stylish 😊 Helpful tips
Jeans can be comfortable. People tend to buy smaller sizes for any numbers of reasons but the right size, with a bit of elatic in the composition and you're set for hours :)
these outfits look similar to my conference outfits! (I always pack something casual & a bit loose fitting because there’s almost always a fair bit of pub crawl included 😅) When I go to visit my family in tropical climates, I mostly pack darker coloured linen & cotton items!
Absolutely loved this. I utilize many of these techniques too. I fly in my dark skinny jeans all the time because they fit and are actually comfortable haha… I really dislike arriving and feeling frumpy and under dressed so I definitely prefer to fly better dressed, and definitely wear the heavier coat or sweater on board. Something that really changed the way I viewed travel clothes was when our lifestyle started elevating and we started utilizing high end airline lounges, like the American Express lounges… it’s a much nicer environment and people aren’t doing crazy things like sitting on the floor lol … it’s a much more elevated experience all around and I fit in much more comfortably when dressed a little better
Thank you for these tips! My only question is the coat could be quite bulky once you're sitting on your seat and you would either have to put it in the overhead or placed over your legs?
I am a huge fan of your videos and your style. I know your audience is mostly women, I'm sure, but as a man, I'd love to see what your opinion or views would be on what the male version of your style might be or look like.❤
You are going to look so chic on the airplane. These days, not many people dress up any longer. I tend to wear sneakers when I travel because of the comfort of walking. Great video. Happy Holidays.
I’d be uncomfy in my heaviest shoes, so I’d probably be in my sneakers, jeans or joggers and pink leather jacket 💕or one of my blazers. I love your look with the t-shirt and blazer, as I would most likely travel to a warmer state.
what do you do with the long coat once you board the plane? i can’t think of anyplace where it can be stored as the top storage area will be packed with carryon luggage
I'm petite and this over-sized fashion trend is a nightmare 😫 I loved to wear over-sized trench coat for spring, can you recommend shape and color which doesn't look like I'm wearing a blanket 😊
The good boots will set off the metal detectors in tsa pre check lines...be sure to proactively take them off or others in the tsa pre line will definitely be annoyed
Great tips for a short flight, but, what about long hauls? Leaving LA in the evening and arriving in London early in the morning. What fabric/material will look the least "slept in" when getting off the plane?
@@v.ang.4803 I didn't realize the antibacterial aspect of merino wool. Just purchased two Merino wool sweaters (I have not received them yet), but will definitely try them for these qualities. Thank you.
Audrey, I'm the opposite! I plan my travel outfit FIRST, and everything else has to revolve around it. I do this because due to carry-on weight restrictions, I usually wear my heaviest shoes and clothing pieces on the plane. Once I've decided what those will be, I select the rest of my capsule to mix-and-match with them.
I always take off my socks at airport security, so after going through, I use alcohol wipes to clean my feet. I'd wearing socks, I can clean them and the germ will trapped in my shoes

Brava for you! Know thyself. I do. And I would never, ever travel in a light color. Carry on!@@VBoo459
Yes! Keep posting the Classics. When I get off course on a trendy binge, I always return to your videos for “always-in-style” fashion ideas. 😂

@@clareh472 Good strategy!
@@clareh472 you would need a huge grocery bag to pack that heavy long coat into.
Also would get filthy.

Love this video
I love your boots, can you share the maker please. Thank you
Don't forget, that large cost will need to go through the TSA conveyor even with TSA pre check.
Great recommendations.
Please give us your ideas for dressy holiday outfit strategy.
LoVe your video! Do you have a quality brand for makeup cases to travel you like?
what do you do with the long coat once you board the plane? i can’t think of anyplace where it can be stored as the top storage area will be packed with carryon luggage
I have never worn jeans to travel on a plane. I dress up and get treated better because I respect the people and what they do
I love the tee shirt, a different look on you but it looks so cool! thanks for your amazing channel and happy holidays! :)
Olive bomber....& Especially Elaine! Not what you generally wear....like w/ blazer!😂
I love the sunglasses. Can you tell me about them
I'm petite and this over-sized fashion trend is a nightmare 😫 I loved to wear over-sized trench coat for spring, can you recommend shape and color which doesn't look like I'm wearing a blanket 😊
Very good a d useful video 😊
Hi, what is the brand of your chunky boots?
The good boots will set off the metal detectors in tsa pre check lines...be sure to proactively take them off or others in the tsa pre line will definitely be annoyed
Do you have info on the "combat" lug sole/chelsea (no laces) style black boots in outfit 4? (I don't know what "fit TTS" means.) Thank you!
TTS: True to Size.

I mostly fly with my merino wool sweaters. It does not wrinkle and is antibacterial so it does not smell.

You have to take your shoes off at the airport?! 😮
The secret is to both pack and wear high quality items that do not crease.
When going through security.
Sleeves on coat a little too long. And tough to travel in lovely coat crunch problems
