That's my favorite all time scene from GA,almost everything was done with expressions-you finally realize just HOW MUCH Derek loves Meredith, his eyes did all the talking.
If he loved her that much, he would have been honest with her about being married. He would have gotten a divorce for her. He would have chosen her. He would have been fair to both her and Addison if he loved Meredith as much as he claimed.
Sigh. I wish Derek could comfort me during my panic attacks. Not that breathing into a paper bag does anything (and it's totally not recommended by evidence based practice, in case you were wondering) - but his quiet reassurance and comforting presence would be soothing.
Grey's nowadays isn't anymore like in the good old days... This is still my favourite scene! Great acting, i love Derek's look on his face and the music is perfect.

Also I’m pretty sure this was the first patiënt she lost, and when Derek died, he went the same way. With the woman he loved by his side, kinda crazy how coincidental that 9 years later, she’d be there in the same way that woman’s family was letting him go

So, she was forced to take the intubation tube out and well, kill the patient. The patient that died had a lot of friends with her when she died, and Meredith realized that when her mother dies, she wants her to be witht he people she loves.
"I don't want my mother to die alone." This scene hurts so much. I have a brother who has a disability, and I don't know how much time he has left. I try to spend as much time as I can with him, but I'm moving to New York within the coming years, and if I'm not there for him, who will be? 😟

Thank god she found Maggie and improved her relationship with Amelia because otherwise she really would be alone unless she wants to hang out with interns or Miranda Bailey.
Even if she found maggie and Amelia if she has a problem she doesn't tell them plus Mer is someone who doesn't share her secret that much, plus since Alex left if she has a secret she keep it to herself or she rights in journal like the way Ellis used to do.

it's so you can help control your breathing. it helps if you're really disoriented cuz you can see the bag expanding in front of you.
